Analysis of drawing of the EU structural funds by public universities in the Czech Republic

This paper focuses on the analysis of absorption of EU structural funds by public universities in the Czech Republic in the period of 2007-2013 under the operational programmes Education for Competitiveness OP, Research and Development for Innovation OP, Prague Adaptability OP and Prague Competitiveness OP. Emphasis is put on the differences between Prague and outside Prague public universities, considering that Prague is the only Czech region that exceeds 75% of the average GDP per capita in the EU and the schools based in there have different access to the resources from the Structural Funds than outside Prague schools. The analysis compares the number of projects of Czech public universities, as well as the amount of funds drawn by them. There has been created a value used for comparison by applying the total amount of funds drawn by Prague and outside Prague public universities to students in these two areas. In the last chapter of the work, there are some possible effects of unequal distribution of resources and problems associated with their drawing outlined through a discussion with several experts. Among these impacts and problems are included circumvention of the rules, filled absorptive capacity of outside Prague regions, high cost of sustainability of projects funded via OPRDI and a risk...

Analysis of public financial support of information society development in Moravskoslezský region

The aim of this thesis is analysis of public financial support of information society development in the Moravskoslezsky region. At first the work focuses on general information policy in the European Union and the Czech Republic. Then it analyzes programs and funds, from which the republic was able to draw in the period 2004-2006 and 2007-2013. In the following sections main attention is paid to the Moravskoslezsky region and its local information policy and implemented project in each period separately. The thesis is closed with the final comparison of both periods with an indication of possible direction of future development of information society.

1 TITLE: EU projects implementation and schools success rate in grant asquisition AUTHOR: Soňa Calábková DEPARTMENT: The centre of school management SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Václav Trojan, Ph.D. ABSTRACT The subject matter of this bachelor's work is EU projects implementation in 2007- 2013 period and grant acquisition in education with focus on primary schools in Opava region. The first part briefly characterize regional politics and its application in the Czech Republic. Next part overview particular operating programmes with profound view on operating programme Education for competitiveness, out of which is realized the call "EU money for schools", intended to improve conditions for pupils and teachers at primary schools outside Prague. This is followed by specific example of detailed analysis of project cycle during EU grant application in support area 1.4. The aim of my bachelor's work is to analyze the situation in primary schools in Opava region in terms of EU projects involvement, grant success rate and their implementation into school practise with detailed focus on "EU money for schools" project. Implementation and Absorption Capacity of EU funds in Tourism

The thesis aims to analyze European funds promoting tourism in the Czech Republic, and to assess the extent to which the Czech Republic was able to take advantage of this support. The intention is to introduce current possibilities of using EU funds and analyze how effective implementation was. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to regional policy and the instruments through which it is implemented. The second chapter deals with the Implementation process of EU funds at European and national level. The last chapter analyzes data focused on financial support to the tourism development in the period of 2007-2013, and 2014-2020.
Evaluation of use of European Union structural funds in the selected region

The thesis Evaluation of use of European Union structural funds in the selected region is focused on the strategy of drawing funds from European Union structural funds and evaluate the efficiency of utilization of selected companies in the Northeast region. Work refers to a procedure that is required in obtaining a successful approval of projects submitted by companies in the area of subsidies. Evaluated the company's ability to draw funds from the structural funds and the positive impact of investment projects on socio-economic development of the Pardubice region, environment, sales and added value of the company. Finally, we evaluated all of the programming period starting in 2004 until possible improvements to the current program 2014 2020.
The impal of subsidies on the area development of LAG Podhorácko

The thesis deals with the contribution of the local action group Podhorácko as an appropriate tool to support the development of rural areas. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the utilization of European funding grants for Podhorácká region during the years 2007 - 2013. The impact of successful projects on the territory development is also being researched. The thesis is divided into three parts. The initial part is aimed at the theoretical overview of the issue, the importance of rural areas and at the programmes for the rural areas development. It also contains the characterization of local action groups and the method LEADER. The second part presents the characterization of the local action group Podhorácko and the analysis of MAS region. The evaluation of funding grants for given territory is also included in this part. The last part suggests concrete measures and potential areas for MAS Podhorácko activity during the years 2014 - 2020. The thesis analyzes the territory of local action group and verifies two hypothesises: - MAS significantly contributes to the development of the rural areas of the given region - the utilization of funding grants is effective On the bases of the results of the statistical method and sociological survey the thesis defines problem areas impeding the future development.
The impact of the program LEADER in the region of LAG Království – Jestřebí hory, o.p.s.

First part of this theses deals with theoretical knowledge about local action group (LAG), their way of functioning, strategical documents and project management within the life cycle of LAG projects. On the other hand it introduces a theory about monitoring project, monitoring indicators and setting their in and out values. Second, practical, part of two the theses has also two spectrums. First part alleges from data collected during monitoring projects in LAG Království Jestřebí hory o.p.s. Data are focused at most on fulfilling monitoring indicators during last program period in between 2007 and 2013 and they are summed up as a recommendation for the new programming period. Programming period 2014 and 2020 has so far introduced a new method of setting up indicators, which is also described in this theses, including the restrictions that LAG has to deal with. Practical part is ended by commentary on setted values and their actual possibility of fullfillment in real life. The entire theses ends the final summery in which the author states her own reccomendations and tips regarding the setting or evaluation of monitoring indicators.
