Make Partizánska Ľupča great again!
Likavčanová, Lucia ; ArtD, Tomáš Boroš, (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
Proposal of an urban-architectural study for Partizánska Ľupča presents an idea of converting the village center and the Pergler Mill. The proposal responds to the weakening of connections between the public space and its users and aims to restore the interrupted continuity while respecting the unique historical context of the locality. The first part of the proposal deals with the story of the square, the transformation of its functional content over time, and the attempt to reintegrate it into the lives of the inhabitants through minor interventions and reorganization of spatial arrangement. It seeks to find an answer to the complex question of adapting the public space of Ľupča, which has undergone historical development from a pulsating market square of a significant medieval town to today’s form of an empty large paved area in the center of the village. The second part of the proposal is dedicated to the Pergler Mill located on the southwest edge of the square. The transformation of one of the most technically preserved mills in the territory of the Czech Republic and Slovakia aims to reintegrate it into the village’s structure. The last part of the proposal is dedicated to Ľupčianka, a stream that flows from the beginning to the end of the village. Once a significant part of the lives of the inhabitants, it is now an almost invisible element. The ambition of the interventions is not to restore its past use but to bring a new perspective on the potential of this forgotten part of public space. The interventions represent visions of how to complement these places and initiate new experiences and emotions.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Physical and Rehabilitation medicine: possibilities in the assessment of selected morphological changes of upper limb
Giannelli, Karolína ; Mezian, Kamal (advisor) ; Hrazdíra, Luboš (referee) ; Nedělka, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of ultrasound diagnostics and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures in selected pathological changes of the upper limb. Ultrasound examination directly in specialists' offices, including rehabilitation physicians, has been a worldwide trend in the last two decades. The main advantages include the possibility of assessing the pathological findings directly related to the clinical examination. The benefit is speeding up the establishment of an accurate diagnosis and initiating adequate treatment. Indirectly, the costs associated with examination by other imaging techniques and therapy are reduced. This thesis aims to present diagnostic and therapeutic options for selected morphological changes in the upper limb, including less common pathologies, such as case reports of intramuscular haemangiomas, whose diagnosis was significantly contributed by ultrasound examination. In addition to diagnosis, ultrasound is used to navigate interventions, increasing the safety and effectiveness of these procedures. The research part of this thesis is focused on identifying the optimal site of median nerve injection in carpal tunnel syndrome. This study is a prospective, randomized, blinded study with 46 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. We compared the effect of two...

Methods of working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
BÁRTOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods od working with children with autism spectrum disorder. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to analyze these methods and find out which methods are the most used. Furthermore, the bachelor's thesis focuses on which aids are most used for working with children with autism spectrum disorders. The practical part was processed using a qualitative research strategy. The qualitative research strategy was implemented through semi-structured interviews with therapists working with children with autism spectrum disorder in preschool age. The research results were processed using open coding and subsequent categorization. The empirical part describes what methods of work and what aids we can use when working with children with ASD and which of these methods and aids are the most suitable. The research revealed the O.T.A. (Open Therapy of Autism) as the most used method for working with children with ASD in preschool age, music therapy and art therapy are also very popular within the intervention. Another suitable intervention method is the structured learning method. In practice, various relaxation aids are used, such as relaxation music, or the projection of shapes on the wall; aids for motor skills or communication training; pictograms for orientation in everyday activities. Electronic devices are also widely used, especially the iPad. We will probably never be able to claim with certainty which method is the most suitable, but it is certain that if we look at the individuality, uniqueness of the child, we will try to understand him as much as possible and get to know him. The bachelor thesis can be used as a theoretical guide to how to work with children with autism spectrum disorder.

This background context assists with evaluating to what extent did the security sector evolve, and how did the lack of successful reform hinder the UN-led peace process. This research places its focus on the timeframe between 2011 to 2019, using a qualitative method of research. It aims at understanding the impact of the security sector on the Libyan peace process in terms of its contribution to insecurity, and the significance and relevance of having a successful implementation of SSR and DDR, due to the ongoing security fragmentation and state failure. This research finds that the security sector reform initiatives committed by international actors were unsuccessful due to several factors, including the evacuation of personnel due to deteriorating security conditions, and the exclusion of key actors from negotiations. Furthermore, initiatives at security sector reform by Libyan actors were...

Support for Insurgents as the Tool of the State Foregn Policy
Bahenský, Vojtěch ; Riegl, Martin (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
The primary concern of this thesis is the question, what risks and costs are associated with using support for insurgent groups as an instrument of state foreign policy. It attempts to connect various contemporary concepts and approaches and presents the concept of risks and costs based on existing literature. It offers examples of possible application of such concept, which simultaneously reveal insufficient theoretical understanding of other aspects of support for insurgent movements. These are inappropriately formulated for their use in the study of impacts of the support for insurgents on the supporting state. In conclusion the thesis offers several areas for future research that would help to address these shortages of contemporary literature.
