Antibody derivatives for the detection of human glutamatecarboxypeptidase II
Bělousová, Nikola ; Bařinka, Cyril (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Jiří (referee)
Prostate cancer is one of the most common human malignancies and, consequently it is critical to develop appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tools. Glutamate carboxypeptidase II (GCPII) is currently being considered one of the most important prostate cancer markers due to its tissue- specific expression. Whereas in healthy prostatic tissue the expression levels of GCPII are low, the transformation into the tumor is associated with the substantial increase of GCPII expression, with the highest levels observed in androgen-independent metastatic tumors. GCPII is thus considered a promising marker for early phase as well as advanced metastatic stages of prostate cancer. Current research is focused on the development of highly sensitive and specific reagents that allow detection of small amounts of GCPII, for example in early stages of cancer. Antibody derivatives are promising molecules for this purpose because they have high affinity and specificity and minimum negative side effects. Protein engineering is a prefered approach for preparation of various antibody molecules that differ in size, binding properties, stability, solubility, and production means. Different types of derivatives are being developed for medical needs such as in vitro diagnosis, therapy, and in vivo imagingSmall molecular...
Examination of the visual perception in children with visual impairment through an assessment procedure, called In-Sight
Janečková, Klára ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
This thesis focuses on the problematics of examination of visual perception in children with visual impairment. There are three parts to this thesis. The first part is dedicated to visual perception. It starts by describing the physiological development of eyesight and the examinations of it in childhood. It is followed by a description of visual functions and functional vision assessment. It also deals with individual parts of visual perception and the support of their development. The second part describes the In-Sight test in detail, including the instructions to its use. The third part introduces the research: the diagnostics of visual perception in children with sight impairment through In-Sight test. Its core method is a foreign standardised In-Sight test. This test is used to evaluate visual operations in children with visual impairment and to perform a screening of theirs higher visual abilities in relation to the process of education. The aim of this thesis is to describe the usefulness of this test in this target group. The research also attempted to find new ways to use the test. An observation was made as to which areas the children found most difficult and which they found non-problematic, what actions can be taken to support them based on the results and whether it is feasible to...
Disassembly Diagnosis of Diesel Engine
Válek, David ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this work is to summarize the possibilities of dismantling diagnostics of diesel engine defects and to explain them practically. The first part of the thesis is focused on description of individual components and used gauges. The reader will get acquainted with the basic concepts and principles of each part of the engine and their function. The second part deals with the real faults which can occur during the operation and their practical solutions.
Preventive maintenance of power equipment based on actual technical condition
Gabrys, Dominik ; Gaborčík, Michal (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on issue preventive maintance, diagnostics of high voltage cables and optimization for power distribution equipment. Thesis is divided in two parts, teoretical and practical. Teoretical part contains survey about reliability centered maintance, options of maintance and overview of czech distribution systems. Practical part contains diagnostics of high voltace cables and analysis data for create more efficient maintance.
Diagnostics of rotating electric machines
Soukup, Patrik ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The thesis Diagnostics of rotating electric machines deals with the theory of diagnostics of rotating machines, focusing especially on the diagnosis of asynchronous motors of high power. Due to the importance of maintaining the trouble-free condition of these machines with regard to serviceability, the importance of their diagnosis is growing. Due to inappropriate working conditions or for many other reasons, different types of malfunctions may occur in the machine. The list and the way of occurrence of possible failures are included and explained in this thesis. With the growing age of the machine, it is important to check the insulation status through insulation testing. These tests are performed in the practical part of the thesis and the results are presented. In the case of asynchronous machines, each anomaly leaves a signature in the form of an electrical, magnetic or vibrational signal. These signals are analyzed and evaluated using a specific measuring equipment with the intention of deciding on the current state of the machine. Motor current signature analysis (MCSA) is considered to be the main diagnostic method of asynchronous machines in this thesis. This method is described in detail in this paper and is being applied in electrical engineering.
Car Fault Diagnostics
Potocký, Matej ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This diploma work is targeting fault diagnostics of electronic systems and engines used in automobiles. Results and methods used to diagnose faults are analyzed within the work, using standard diagnostic methods and devices, results of which were captured measuring with multi-channel oscilloscope. Furthermore, suggestions of using methods optimized for cost and time difficulty factors are made.
The motorcycle diagnostic unit
Smola, Tomáš ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with problematics of air/fuel mixture diagnosis od older carburetor motors. Especially for motors with more than one cylinder. In this thesis are informations about commercial product for diagnosis, brief informations about function of CV caburetor and best setup of fuel mixture. The next step in this thesis will be design, construction and testing of device for the diagnosis air/fuel mixture in practical use. Device will be able to measure mixture and other values witch can be used for best carburetor setup.
Rework and Repair Procedures of Selected Components and LED on Various Types of PCBs.
Pospíšil, Tomáš ; Ondřej, Klemš (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with technology of rework and repairs of electronic soldering assemblies. The work is primarily focused on the rework and repairs of electronic soldering assemblies with the light emitting diode. The theoretical part describes the technological methods of soldering and reworking of electronic assemblies, their diagnostics, evaluation of their influence on reliability and functional properties. The practical part is focused on the real application of technological procedures of rework and repairs, their testing and evaluation. Furthermore there is described and tested the influence of thermal load during soldering on the properties of light emitting diodes.
Vyšetření včelstev na nosematózu
BRABENEC, Jiří
Nosematosis belongs to the intestinal disease of bees, which is widely spread both in the world and in the Czech Republic. It is caused by Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae. The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the occurrence of the Nosema dispute in the territory of ČSV Bystřice, to describe species variability and to assess the effect of the season on the occurrence of Nosema apis and Nosema ceranae. To detect infection of colonies, 5 bees from selected hives were examined under the microscope. In positive specimens on nosematosis, the species of Nosema spore was molecularly examined. In total, 93 samples from 15 breeders were examined. Samples were taken in the spring and summer of 2017. The sampling took place both for malachists and for farmers with more than 150 bee colonies. During the summer sampling more positive bees were found than in spring sampling. Beekeepers were further assessed by the number of hives. Following the analysis of the samples obtained using the PCR method, Nosema ceranae disputes were present in the vast majority of colonies.
