Výuka angličtiny pro zvláštní účely a příprava kurzů angličtiny pro studenty výpočetní techniky
CARBOVÁ, Anna
The subject of this diploma thesis is to design an ESP course for a group of bachelor Information Technology students in their first year of study at University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Pedagogical Faculty. After researching professional literature, creating and processing a needs analysis questionnaire and making interviews with future employers and subject teachers, a synthesis of the needs analysis is carried out and a two-semestral course is designed. Every week{\crq}s material contains a topic and a list of skills, subskills and activities. In the next part, two lessons are presented with step-by-step methodical instructions for the teacher and a handout material for the students.
Risk Analysis of Self-Driven Vehicles
Weigel, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to design and implement system for risk analysis in self-driving cars. This thesis focused on design and implementation of system for risk analysis in models. One of the requirements for the system was to be flexible and robust. Design of the risk analysis was presented at theoretical level and then implemented in models of ABS and ESP systems in UPPAAL environment. The system was then tested via multiple experiments. The experiments were beneficial and the system for risk analysis correctly evaluated failure scenarios with adequate response to the rising level of risk. Experiment outputs were then presented at graphs with comment to each failure scenario.
Weight sensing of beehives with IoT connectivity
Havránek, Daniel ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Kufa, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to make a device that can measure some beehive parameters, that can inform you about the conditions in a beehive. These parameters are beehive weight, inner and ambient temperature, inner and ambient humidity and air pressure. The device allows to send the measured data wirelessly through the 2G network and interpret the results in appropriate way. Low power consumption is desirable due to working without the reach of the distribution network.
ESP - Developing a Course for Aviation English
Košková, Magdaléna ; Žďárek, Karel (advisor) ; Uličná, Klára (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the development of an ESP (English for specific purpose) course for aviation English. The theoretical part introduces the methodology for ESP course development, the demands on the teacher and other specifics associated with ESP; the practical part focuses on the contents of the course and its evaluation based on the feedback provided by the teacher and the students. In the conclusion the results of the feedback are discussed and the possible solutions suggested.
Language and content integration models in ELT
Synková, Blanka ; Gráf, Tomáš (advisor) ; Klégr, Aleš (referee)
The thesis focuses on the topic of language and content integration in ELT in a broad sense, i.e. it discusses not only CLIL but also other models of content-based teaching, viz. ESP (English for Specific Purposes), EAP (English for Academic Purposes), and EMI (English-medium Instruction). In the theoretical part of the thesis, these models are described as regards their history, typical features, teachers, learners, as well as benefits and negatives. The empirical part of the thesis explores the current practice of language and content integration at Czech general secondary schools ("grammar schools"). The research is based on case studies of five teachers who teach various courses belonging to this category. The preliminary research investigated what courses are currently being offered at grammar schools in Prague; they are mostly elective courses. Our research findings suggest that language and content integration in the form of elective courses is a rather common practice, although often unconscious. Teachers tend to act on the basis of their intuition rather than their knowledge of theory and practice of language and content integration. Generally, it seems that more emphasis is put on content than language in these lessons. Content-based English lessons may be beneficial for learners for...
Dynamic verticalization
Ladický, Milan ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the design and construction of a tilt sensor of a dynamic verticalizer. The work contains a description of the verticalizer, sensing components and programmable boards, which are used to communicate with the computer and peripherals. The principle of connection between the verticalizer and the test application, the principle of sensing the patient's movements and the principle of EMG measurement is explained here.
Supervision and Control System for a Hotel Implemented by IoT Means
Hockicko, Matej ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This work solves the design and prototype implementation of supervision and control system for a hotel implemented by IoT means. The solution is based on ESP microcontrollers, which control the connected sensors and actuators. ESP devices are futher grouped and connected to central point within range. Using this point, MQTT communication is futher transmitted to the cloud. The cloud runs the IoT Core service, which allows to control and store the status of devices. There is also a Node-RED developmnet tool, in which a graphical interface was created for this system. The result of this work allows remote monitoring and control of the hotel using sensors and actuators connected to this network.
LED display for conveyor for testbed I4.0
Rázek, Stanislav ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Sýkora, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of hardware and the creation of software for a matrix LED display, which will then be used in the bartender project. The LED display is controlled by a microcontroller. It is attached between the aluminum profiles forming its frame. Its function is to display information and create a graphical user interface for the dispensing conveyor belt

Attendance System - Complete Solution with ESP and Raspberry Pi Modules
Křehlík, Petr ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement an attendance system based on the Arduino, ESP and RaspberryPi platforms, which communicate with each other using a WiFi network. The access station provides users access using RFID tokens and a central unit information system for managing the entire system in the form of a web interface.
