Neuromarketing and its use in a selected international company

Neuromarketing is a relatively new discipline at the intersection of neuroscience and psychology that aims to use the knowledge about the brain and its functioning to more efficient marketing strategies. The purpose of the thesis is to familiarize with the term neuromarketing and introduce its application on a specific example, an international company, Henkel. Since the companys existence, Henkel has built a strong position in the market and its products are known to all of us.
Detection of aggresive emotions in EEG signal during game computer game playing.

The presented thesis deals with an influence of playing aggressive computer games with the following emotional perception of visual - affective stimuli from NAPS database. The theoretical part is focused on the electroencephalogram, emotions, aggression, event related potentials and media and violence. The practical part is focused on methodology and interpretation of results obtained from experiment. The experiment uses 4 groups of participants. Two of them were groups of computer games players. The first group was playing original version of Counter Strike the second one was playing modified non violent version of Counter Strike. The other two groups were groups of non players of computer games and for them were used the same gaming stimulation. All 4 groups were exposure to visual - affective stimuli before and after play and their event related potentials are examined. The thesis is methodologically based on Analysis of variance and paired T test. For data processing and analysis was used EEGlab which is toolbox of Matlab. The results from statistical analysis have not shown any statistically significant differences in visual affective stimuli between groups.
The effect of relaxation on affective stimuli processing

The main issue of this thesis is to analyze the effect of relaxation on visual affective stimuli. Relaxation influences emotional processing and related EEG response of the individual person. The thesis is divided into two thematic parts: the first on eis theoretical part and the second on eis empirical part. The first part deals with emotions as complex phenomenona. It describes topics as Affective events and Physiology and Regulation of emotions. Important chapter is devoted to the description of Relaxation techniques with focus on Imagination which is used in the experimental part of the thesis. The first empirical part of the thesis deals with experimental verification of the possibility to use relaxation in the unusual settings of a cognitive laboratory. The subsequent part describes EEG measure of brain activity related to processing of visual affective stimuli before and after relaxation. The data were statistically analysed using T-test with multiple FDR comparison. The data were suitable for ERPs - event related potencial analysis. The results of the study were compared with current neuropsychology knowledge.
Psychological manipulation in interpersonal relationships

This work addresses psychological manipulation, which influences interpersonal relationships in negative way. The work consists of three main chapters. The first chapter offers basic information about the phenomenon of psychological manipulation in interpersonal relationships and introduces the reader to its history, the definition of the term and the classification of manipulations. The second chapter is focused on the personality of the psychological manipulator; it is the crucial part of the work. The third and at the same time last chapter is concerned with the possibilities of defence against manipulative conduct. Psychological manipulation appears in any social environment and in many cases it is hard to recognize. Therefore it is necessary to realize what kind of weapons and strategy psychological manipulators use and how can one defend himself against their psychological pressure.
Psychological Aspects of Advertising

The thesis deals with the topic of advertisement and advertising campaigns from the perspective of psychology. It firstly tries to explain the basic psychological concepts relating to advertisement. Then the thesis tries to describe the most common elements used in advertisement. These findings are applied in the practical part to a specific campaign with the purpose of creating hypotheses about impact of advertisement on customer. The aim of the practical part is using the results of the survey to assess validity of hypotheses.
Emotions and artificial intelligence

This thesis is focused on emotions in biological organisms and its use in subject field of artificial intelligence. First chapter describes emergence of emotion in single organism and its relation to motivation and other cognitive abilities such as learning, memory. Second chapter provides description of currently existing artificial systems working with emotions and compares effectiveness of such systems with humans. Last chapter is focused on creating theoretical basis for system that is able to analyze and influence emotional states in its operators. The objective of this thesis is a disquisition on utilization of emotions in artificial systems.
Influence of Emotional Experience in Decision-making Processes

This bachelor thesis deals with an exploration of emotional experience influence on individuals' decision-making proces in particular companies where managerial posts are occupied by these individuals. The main purpose of this thesis is to find out whether the emotional characteristic affects some individual's decisions in emotionally burdensome situations and what impact these decisions could be on a company situation as a whole. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with a general and a theoretical knowledge about emotions, emotional experience, emotional expressions and influence of emotions on cognitive and psychological function of an individual. It also pays attention to finding and solving of the problem and decision-making processes. The substantial part of this section creates an analysis of emotion influence on individual decision-making processes. The second part of the bachelor thesis pays attention to detecting and processing the data of the selected companies. The analysis of the collected data finds out an emotional characteristics of selected persons occupying managerial posts. This part investigates a proces of decision associated with higher rate of an emotional burden, behaviour of selected persons in emotionally burdensome situations and a possible impact of these persons' decisions on a company situation as a whole.

Neuromarketing is one of the marketing research methods and it represents the combination of neuroscience and marketing. This Bachelor's Thesis aims to analyse the use of neuromarketing methods in marketing communication based on the psychophysiological research which measures responses of respondents and emotional system Limbic. The Thesis is based on certain neuromarketing research output. The data employed in the thesis are collected by participating on a research in a company eMerite, survey and further research made by the author.

This Bachelor's Thesis on "The influence of controversial advertising campaigns of United Colors of Benetton on the emotions of consumers in selected countries" discusses the controversial advertising campaigns of the company United Colors of Benetton and the emotions felt by consumers in response to these campaigns. The theoretical section describes the aspects, which can influence the decision-making of the consumers. The aim of the practical section was to find out the general public opinion on controversy in advertisements in the selected countries and how strong emotions this United Colors of Benetton controversial campaign aroused in consumers from the selected countries.
Use of musical and non-musical sound elements of an audiovisual work in order to attain specific emotion in the audience

In this thesis, the relation between the acoustic component of an audiovisual work and human perception is examined. It discusses the issues of auditive impulses and their impact on one's mental process. The practical part of the thesis applies to a process of a concept design of sound addition and sound dramaturgy for a specific audiovisual work, considering the intended messages to the viewer, both informative and emotional.
