In the process
Volková, Markéta ; Velická, Erika (referee) ; Korbička, Pavel (advisor)
My bachelor's thesis is an object responding to the space that surrounds it. It points out the contradiction between organic and austere form. In my work, I materialize abstract experiences through metonymically selected building elements related to the places in which I have these experiences. As an extraction of elements appearing in the architecture of the Southern Mediterranean, a form of ornament appears in the work, which is understood by a figurative comparison to the experience of travelling on holiday. Another element, representing a figurative experience of returning "to reality", are the lux spheres. Their character is linked to the architecture of Central Europe. I explore the relationship between the different types of buildings, which I then freely develop. My perception of reality enhances the recognition of the new with the already known. I let the objects represent and capture these two opposing perceptions with implications and emphasis on their differences. In this way, I come to find in my work a similarity between geometric austerity, which signifies perfectionism, and the intuitive unfolding of ornament, which inserts the theme of organicity into the object. An important aspect of the thesis is processuality. I understand my work as a border between conceptual and intuitive process.

Hanušová, Nikola ; Preiss, Marek (advisor) ; Klusák, Miroslav (referee)
In my master's thesis, I investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on patients with anxiety disorders, with a specific focus on the area of intimacy. I examine changes in personality functioning, differences between the control and experimental groups, the influence of program completion under different conditions, and the impact of socio-demographic variables. The pilot study subjects are patients who completed the program in Ward 1 or attended the day clinic at the National Institute of Mental Health. The patients underwent a six- week cognitive-behavioral therapy program with elements that focus on intimacy. Interviews were conducted with patients at the beginning and end of the program to monitor changes in personality functioning. The research tools STiP 5.1 and LPFS-BF 2.0 were used for measurement. The results were subsequently compared with respondents from the intact population (currently not undergoing any psychotherapeutic or psychiatric treatment) who underwent interviews at the same time intervals. It was found that it is possible to measure disruptions in personality functioning of anxious patients based on STiP 5.1 and LPFS-BF 2.0, which differ from the personality functioning of the intact population. Based on the comparison of the first and second assessments of...

Patient intimacy in the Emergency department
KUBÍNOVÁ, Jitka
This bachelor's thesis, named "Patient's intimacy at an emergency department", focuses on patient's intimacy, privacy, and human dignity during his treatment at the emergency department. We live in modern times, everything focuses on innovations, researches and mainly time demands. So, it is in the health service, the medical part is more interesting from the perspective of treatment methods and resources. The intimacy and human dignity topic lag behind the medical one but not so much as before. It is getting more and more into public awareness. In the intensive medicine, this topic is complicated. Hall type care system is developing even in emergency department and keeping patient's intimacy is being disturbed by many circumstances and factors. The theoretical part describes the development of the intensive medicine and emergency departments abroad as well as in the Czech Republic. Then there are being described fields such as intimacy, privacy, human dignity, holism, communication, patient's needs as well as patients' rights and their enforceability. In the practical part, the research was processed by a qualitative method using an interview and participating hidden observation. Interviews and observations took place in March 2021, in a selected emergency medical facility. A research cohort was formed by 10 paramedical workers. The practical part was purposely focused on paramedical staff. The goal was to find out their perception and respecting of intimacy. The results of the research showed that the medical staff at the emergency department have some theoretical knowledge about intimacy and human dignity but are not always able to demonstrate practice. This is a topic that every healthcare professional should work on a lot.
Side Effect / This could be us
Masevnina, Polina ; Pustaiová,, Zuzana (referee) ; Klodová, Lenka (advisor)
My bachelor thesis Side Effect / This could be us consists of a series of photographs and the texts in the form of a visual intimate diary and focuses mainly on self-reflection. As in my previous works, I reflect on romantic and sexual relationships, changes in my mental and physical condition, whether caused by love affairs, any kind of addiction, or by taking anti- depressants. The side effect of medical psychotherapy affecting sexuality is one of the top- ics I reveal in my project. By creating my self-portraits and writing explicit notes, I satisfy the obsessive need to share my intimate life - digital exhibitionism has a therapeutic meaning in this case, it helps to ex- perience and cope with my current state. I interpret intimacy from the perspective of sharing a personal space. I explore the physical and symbolic nature of the text as the way of ex- pression and my own body as a tool for preserving and living memories. Focusing on the body I materialise it as the map of touches, I turn my experiences into a physical form.

Proboštová, Jana ; Martinová, Marta (advisor) ; Kotík, Michal (referee)
My bachelor's thesis is focused on qualitative research of attitude to forms of relationships of believing and non-believing girls. The text is an attempt to determine the meaning of intimacy for these two groups and the difference between them. In the part regarding theoretical bases is the accent put on introducing the problems of intimacy, love and sexuality in their conceptual frame and further are described some aspects of relationships between Catholics and non-believing part of contemporary Czech society. This part has an explanatory trait. The fundamental of my research is a hypothesis that with an assistance of questions, regarding ideas of both groups, I can determine how they see the meaning of intimacy and in what ways their approach differs. In analytic part is my work divided into several areas regarding components of my research - relationship, partner, family, physical relationship and reflexion of relationship between group of believing and non-believing girls. The difference of meaning of intimacy is defined on the basis of the first four categories. The fifth category stands independently and shows the image of the main problems that non-believing girls have with the catholic girls.
