Educational needs of headmasters at various school levels

The master's thesis "Educational needs of headmasters at various school levels" deals with education of headmasters of various school levels. In particular, it deals with educational needs of headmasters at kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools. The aim of the thesis is to find differences among educational needs of headmasters of various school levels and its mutual comparison. Theoretical part works with resources for identifying and comparison of educational needs. Those educational needs are in this thesis identified through "Competency model of the headmaster of the school". Headmasters of mentioned school levels specify required level of partial competencies and evaluate its real situation. Headmasters also have the possibility to bring their own proposal for type of educational need and provide also their recommendation for supplementation of current offer in the field of education. Research was realized through the form of questionnaire. Findings of the research brought, that educational needs of headmasters of secondary schools differ a lot from needs of headmasters of kindergartens and primary schools. Criteria for selecting the director Art School in the Pilsen region

THE SUMMARY: This bachelor thesis deals with the survey and comparisons of the criteria often used by the founders of Primary Art Schools for the selection of headmasters in Plzen region. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to confirm or disclaim the research hypothesis whether the founders have predetermined criteria for the selection of headmasters. One of the partial aims was to find out if the questioned founders took a set of concrete legislative frame of required criteria for the selection of the headmasters into account. The second partial aim describes the founder's opinion of the issue considering the headmaster's requirements to obtain manager education before their office ingression in the region. The next part deals with the comparison of research results between the regional and municipal founders. The thesis is based on the theoretical part of the human resources management, the founder's authority and the headmaster's authority model. The empirical part displays the research outcomes, which are based on a questionnaire survey and additional interviews. Legal personality of kindergarten and its impact on school management in a historical comparison years 1993 - 2013

In this thesis I deal with legal personality of nursery schools. I define the concept of legal personality, describe its influence on school management, present the extent of legal personality of Czech nursery schools in a historical comparison, and briefly also in an international comparison with other European countries. The topic of the thesis directly addresses the field of legal status of schools. In the theoretical section, I describe the current situation, explain relevant terms, and the needs preceding the necessity to establish the legal personality of schools. Furthermore, I present the history and legal terms of legal personality of schools in the time frame of the 1990s when all types of schools gradually gained their legal personality. In a separate chapter, I discuss management of the school as a legal entity. In the research section of the thesis, I show the present extent of legal personality of Czech public nursery schools. The aim of the thesis is to help create a comprehensive view of how legal personality affects school management and the authority of the headmaster as an executive of an organization with legal personality.
Selection procedure for the position of school director from the point of view of Czech teachers and headmasters

This master's thesis deals with various views of potential school directors and headmasters of the school director selection procedure. The work is divided into the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part analyses the legislation relevant to the selection procedure for the school director, i.e. The School Law and law No. 82/2005. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the ideas of potential school directors and headmasters of the selection procedure and of The School Law novelisation. The goal of this thesis is to find how differs these ideas. The conclusions of this work can be used for the improvement of the school director selection procedure in the Czech Republic. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 115 potential school directors and 13 headmasters. It is based on the legal requirements for the performance of the headmaster and his managerial role required for the management of the school, which he has to manage. It describes an initial period of headmaster's dutin and it solves an subsequent phases of business. It highlights the influence of the length of time in managing activities in shaping the attitudes and improving the quality of school management. It describes the facts that brings the ever-changing conditions in the educational legislativ for the exercise of the headmaster, which significantly affect its access to the profession and life perspective.
Management activities of authorities providing common part of school -leaving examination in the initial phase in 2011

Graduation exam from 2011 consists of two parts - a common (state) and profile (school). The first plan to hold this form of school-leaving examination appeared for the first government of Vaclav Klaus (Minister of Education Pilip) in 1994. The other nine governments have failed to agree on the form and implementation of school-leaving examination. The agreement was successful in August 2010 during the government of Peter Necas and Education Minister Josef Dobes. The aim was to evaluate the opinions of directors and commissioners of secondary schools of the Středočeský kraj for management activities associated with the common part of school- leaving examination in the initial phase in 2011 and assess whether there are critical points of sub-management activities, and may propose their modification.
Legal analysis of the process of adopting children under three years of pre-school education in nursary school

Legislative modification of admitting children under three years to pre - school education in nursery schools has been indefinite up to the present. If the norms of the law are carefully analysed, it is possible to come to the conclusion that under some circumstances the children under three years can be enroled in nursery school A lot of long - term researches have been done and legislatively treated but the motion has not been discussed because of the political situation ( Shortening of the session of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parlament). This work pays attention to the opinions of our ombudsman, to those that concern with criterious of the process of admitting children to pre - schoul education in nursery schools. The criterious help to determine an order of admission to nursery schools. Our contemporary state of admitting children under three years to pre- school education is very complicated in all respects, but solvable. It is necessary to know all obligatory regulations, observe them and apply them in practice. Legal analysis in this work was executed after thorough study of relevant regulations and ofter conultations contraversial quessions with lawyers working at education law. Relationship between school headmaster and municipality as it's founder

The subject of the thesis is the relationship between the director of the school and local authority as its founder. The thesis explains the concepts that defines this relationship and influence this relationship the most. The aim was to use empirical research, mapping and analysis of problem areas of relationship from the view of both sides, the directors and founders. And to use synthesi sof thein views to find the most suitable solution. The questionnaire survey of two groups of respondents, directors and founders confirmed most problematic area in the field of relationship between headmaster and founder. The conclusion contains suggestions for possible solutions to improve the relationship with the director and founder.
