Mentoring novice teachers in Finland

This thesis introduces a topic of mentoring of novice teachers in Finland. The main goal is to analyse a novice teachers peer-group mentoring model as a case study of project Paedeia Café and evaluate its advantages and disadvantages in comparison to dyadic form of mentoring. Further, to bring ideas for implementation of Finnish experiences into Czech context. In theoretical part, we define mentoring in teaching profession, then we briefly introduce specifics of Finnish education system, peer-group mentoring and Paedeia Café. The research part analyses interview with mentors, novice teachers and manager of the project as well as participating observations. The results of the study show that Paedeia Café is a project which connects experienced teachers and students in last years of their studies. The advantages of the project are financial savings and creation of a space for discussion about professional issues. Disadvantages are more difficult structure, confusion of mentor's roles and low support in academic literature. In the Czech Republic, we can be inspired by a connection of experienced teachers and students, also by a space for sharing teaching profession experience in informal atmosphere. The phenomenon of instructors - just a worker or a personality?

The bachelor thesis is focusing on the phenomenon of instructory according to different points of view. The main object is to chart organisation requirements towards elev traitor and leading mentor with their own perception of themselves in the role and them being aware of a possible progress. Then the thesis focuses on the conditions for choosing team members by the leading mentor. Another researched fact is difference between an instructor as a worker and an instructor with a personality. In the first part the theme is dealt in the teoretical context. The second part is a practical investigation. For the research the author uses half structured interview with instructors of three organisations, representing all the three positions elev traitor, mentor and leading mentor. The results complete the theoretical part.
Possibilities of using mentoring in education and development emplyees in an organization

This bachelor's thesis provides insight into the possibilities of mentoring in the education and development of employees in an organization, and it specifies the situations in which the use of mentoring can be defined as effective. The thesis includes identification of these possibilities on the basis of an analysis of the education and development of the employees in an organization. First, the main concepts are defined, objectives, forms, and methods of education and development in an organization are specified, and the possibilities of education and development of the employees in an organisation are specified in more details. Another source of information for identification of the possibilities of using mentoring is the definition of mentoring, its essential principles and characteristics, stages, and forms used in an organization. Benefits and limits of mentoring are also defined. On this basis, the possibilities of education and development of the employees in an organization for whom mentoring is a suitable and effective method are defined. Online world - Content Creators Business Model through the Eyes of a Concrete Community of Online Entrepreneurs

The Bachelor thesis is dealing with description of online business, concretely of the Content creators business model. The description is based on a community of online businessmen. The crucial part of the thesis is dedicated to an analysis of observations and interviews with members of the community. The goal of the paper is to reveal the functioning of the community of online businessmen within The Content creators business model in a constantly growing online world about which there is still not enough comprehensive information. The paper provides an analysis of relations in community, accepting of new members, interactions, competition and women position in the online business world etc. The goal is to find out about the success influencing factors. In addition, the paper is trying to define patterns in behavior which may lead to earlier success. The analysis showed that in the community may exist an artificial identity based on requirements for a so called good businessman which majority of the community is trying to embody. Mentoring in a period of professional adaptation of teachers in the secondary schools

The thesis is focused on the process of mentoring and its application in the process of professional adaptation of teachers in secondary schools. The aim of the work is based on a literature review of available literature and the results of the research to describe and analyze the process of mentoring in a period of professional adaptation of secondary school teachers. In the theoretical part are explained the basic concepts related to the topic, are described the process of adaptation of teachers, characteristic of mentoring, role of mentor, mentoring relationship, further characteristic of mentor, forms, strategies, risks and benefits of mentoring. In the empirical part are described the implementation and results of quantitative research by the semistructured interview with the directors of the secondary schools, which focused on the way, how the process of mentoring in a period of professional adaptation of teachers in the secondary schools works and what specific ways of support are in the process of mentoring in a period of professional adaptation of teachers in the secondary school applied. Mentoring in the Nursery School as a Way to the Learning Organization

The theoretical part of the thesis consists of literary research focused on mentoring, mentoring relationship, goals and importance of mentoring, kinds and phases of mentoring, mentoring at the beginning of a teacher's career, mentoring in the course of his / her career, giving examples of implemented projects which were aimed at mentoring, and the relationship between the mentor and the learning organization. The main goal of the empirical part is to elaborate a model example for effective use of mentoring in nursery schools as a potential tool leading to the learning organization. Some necessary requirements and ideal conditions for implementing the internal mentoring in the nursery school are stated, the time schedule for implementing the internal mentoring has been elaborated, and both formal and content part for its implementation has been suggested, including some advice and recommendations. The diploma thesis deals with one of the professional support - mentoring, its use in education and its models and consequently its risks. The aim of this work is to determine what barriers both general and specific type appear in the use of mentoring programs in schools and to create overview. The need for a comprehensive view were approached respondents who are most often confronted with mentoring or experiencing a particular experience. They are mentors, mentoring, along with school principals. The combination of these perspectives creates expert insight on the themes explored. Mentoring opens new horizons in education, the theoretical part of us familiar with the development and insights into this unique professional support. It refers to the introduction of this phenomenon difficult to practice, supported by mistrust and low awareness by teaching the public.
