Wireless Signal Transmission of DMX512 Interface
Polóni, Pavol ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with design and implementation of a system for wireless transmission of DMX signal 512, which is primarily designed for the management of lighting effects. Its electrical specification is based on the EIA485 standard. Text of the work describes the design stage. First is the issue of implied actual protocol DMX 512 or EIA485. Next sign on selecting a suitable architecture for wireless transmission, management and compilation of the block diagrams. Describes the operation of the component selection and circuit implementation of the scheme, which is using the DPS Eagle compiled. In conclusion, this work is to evaluate the results of the proposed system and showing the way to its further development so that it can be realistically implemented in practice.
IPv6 Communication Library
Pecháček, Václav ; Slaný, Karel (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
Thesis deals with IPv6-based network communication. The aim was to create a library enabling FITkit development board equipped with Ethernet extension module to act as an IPv6 node. Project includes application to demonstrate available functionality. The library is written in ANSI C.
Profiler for Generic Simulators of Microprocessors
Wilczák, Milan ; Přikryl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Masařík, Karel (advisor)
This thesis presents design and implementation of profiling tool for newly created microprocessors. For microprocessor description specialized language ISAC is used which describes processor resources, instruction set and behavior. Final profiler is an extension to existing simulator and can be used for optimizing of both processor and its applications. Principle of the profiler is generating events by simulator and processing these events into statistics.
The FITkit3 Tester
Stehlík, Petr ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
This work solves the problem of testing a certain set of ARM Kinetis Cortex-M4 \newline (MK60DN512ZVMD10) microcontroller modules on the FITkit3 learning platform (also known as Minerva). Specifically, it deals with the design of test firmware in the C programming language for automated testing, the design of a hardware module for testing platform input/output interfaces using the MCP23S17 integrated circuit and the design of a software with text-based user interface in Python3 for the testing control from a PC. The selected test set of modules are Periodic interrupt timers (PIT), Low-power timer (LPTMR) and Real time clock (RTC), further modules for serial data transmission via UART and SPI interfaces, speaker and GPIO ports. The created solution provides a comprehensive tool for analysing the functionality of frequently used modules on FITkit3, which automates the analysis process almost completely. The main benefit of this work is the facilitation of testing and a rapid detection of errors in a large number of kits.
Ethernet Interface for Teaching HW/SW Platform FITKit
Kolařík, René ; Tobola, Jiří (referee) ; Fučík, Otto (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with extending of the teaching platform FITKit with the ethernet interface and choosing appropriate concept for this purpose. Further deals with hardware and software implementation of the chosen module and some of the basic network protocols.
Design of embedded system for control of educational model of rotary pendulum
Jajtner, Jan ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The basic aim of this work is to improve existing model of rotational inverted pendulum by adding new mechanical features, implement the control algorithm to dsPIC microcontroller and develop related control electronics thus extending the functionality of current model while making it more compact. The work contains derivation of dynamic equations both by means of analytical methods and multi-body formalism of SimMechanics. These are used to design a state controller stabilizing the pendulum in inverse position. In addition, parameters of the system are being estimated experimentally. Swing-up controller is developed to drive the pendulum to unstable position. Various state estimators are added to controller to improve the control process while comparing their overall performance. The last point is devoted to development of superior state-automaton designed to switch between different regulating modes including fail-detection algorithms providing smooth operation of the model.
Thermostat on LinkIt Smart Platform
Bartoň, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the automation of heating regulation in the household. The goal is to design and implement a prototype of a embedded system to enable the automation of the heating control process with the emphasis on low acquisition costs. The proposed system is used to control the eQ-3 MAX! wireless radiator thermostats. The user interface of the system is the touch screen. As well as iOS mobile application that allow remote control of the system. A prototype of a Wi-Fi sensor is designed and implemented to measure temperature. The work includes hardware and software design of individual parts of the system and their implementation. The resulting system is a good basis for a low-cost system for comprehensive home automation.
USB Keylogger
Lojda, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and practical implementation of USB keylogger. The theoretical part is devoted to the USB bus and the description of SD cards. It also describes the selected MCU Vinculum VNC2 and available drivers. The next part analyzes the design and implementation of such device, including the final throughput measurement and identification of the weakest points of the proposed solution. Next part mentions the making of PCB. The thesis includes a CD with full source code, schematic and PCB layout in Eagle, part list and photographs of the finished keylogger.
Configurable Embedded Photo/Video Trap with Storing Data and Self Adaptation to Surroundings
Výborný, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design and construction of an embeded camera trap with a video recording and night vision support, which is able to self adapt to surroundings. The device is based on the Raspberry Pi platform and configurable by touch screen control with a user-friendly graphical interface. Also the web-application for easy remote administration was developed in Ruby On Rails framework. The camera trap was built and successfully tested under the real conditions. There are also typical application cases and requirements for camera trap construction described in this thesis.
Temperature Measuring in Wellness
Gábriš, Michal ; Žaloudek, Luděk (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with creation of operation program for digitally calibrated thermometer measuring two temperatures, which can be used in wellness centers. The thermometer operates in two modes, the mode of measuring and displaying of water temperature, and the mode of linear digital calibration, in which the temperature sensors are set. The Bachelor thesis contains both the description of used hardware components, and software solution implemented in assembly language. This device is already in commercial use.
