HPLC and the Possibility of its Use in Teacher Education

This diploma thesis is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). This method is introduced as one of the most frequently used current analytical methods. The theoretical part of thesis is focused on instrumentation of HPLC and particular components of HPLC analytical system. The most often used mobile phases and static phases are described as well. Based on these theoretical aspects, laboratory exercise using HPLC for future teachers is designed. Caffeine is used as ideal model material for this exercise. Caffeine is well-known substance, because of its traditional usage for example in food-processing industry. Final part of this thesis is brief view on framework educational programmes for primary and secondary education. As appendix of this thesis, manual for referenced laboratory exercise is provided. The implementation process of accredited study programs into practice of a university (programs for English teachers)

The thesis examines the process of implementation of an accredited study program into practice. The theoretical part provides a brief excursion into the history of teacher education, which highlights the difficult journey in search of a suitable model of teacher education. The formation processes of teacher education are characterized by constant changes, which were not always properly thought out. These tendencies unfortunately do continue to the present day. Currently, the Czech education policy is largely influenced by European educational policy, which is aiming at unification. One of the unifying elements is the accreditation process, which should improve the quality of the study programs offered by European universities. Question is whether such standardization process leads to the improvement of teacher education or not, which is discussed in the second part of my theses where. I examined how two university departments implement Accreditation-Commission-approved program of study in practice. Based on the collected data I can state that the accreditation documents give the schools a framework, but the actual implementation depends largely on the strength of the management of the department and modus operandi of the individual members of the department. The professional development of teachers, which also includes the teacher's further education, is one of the main strategic objectives of the contemporary school system. This work examines which types and forms of further education are most frequently chosen. The work also investigates the processes of this kind of education at different types of schools - kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. The theoretical part of the work gradually focuses on the history and explanation of the basic terms and objectives of further education. In the following chapters the work concentrates on the legal background, the kinds and the forms of further education. The empirical part of the work makes statements on the basis of the research objectives. The text content analysis (of kindergarten annual reports and other records) is used in order to verify the statements. The research sample was randomly chosen from the representatives of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. On the basis of the above mentioned research it is stated that the heads of primary and secondary schools act accordingly to the school regulations: which means that the evaluation of teacher training and further education is included in the annual reports of the schools. World Englishes and English as a Lingua Franca: a reflection of global paradigmatic changes in the Czech Republic.

Introduction: Presently, there are more people who speak English as a second and foreign language than there are native speakers. This situation results, among others, in the fall of the native speaker model and subsequently in gradually changing attitudes to standard(s) and to language and teaching authorities in general. Present thesis reflects these current developments, which are sometimes referred to as 'a paradigmatic shift'. Objectives: The first goal of the thesis was to decipher the terminological pluralism pertinent to the domain. Next, this research set out to investigate, how familiar the phenomenon of English as a lingua franca (ELF) is in the Czech Republic, and consequently to raise awareness about it. Finally, it was our goal to conduct vast research exploring if and how the questions of language ideology are reflected in the teaching practice and in teacher training. Methodology: Both quantitative and qualitative research methods have been applied throughout the research process. The quantitative research included nine originally devised questionnaires. Vocational education of pedagogical workers in Czech republic - contemporary situation and posibilities of lifelong learning oriented to representative organisations

anglicky The work is focused on professional training of teachers in terms of the concept of lifelong learning. Notes the role and importance of universities in the context of modernization of the content ofteaching profession and its importance for the development of the whole society. Attention is focused on the specific activity of the implementation of programs of continuing professional education of teachers in further education at nine faculties in the Czech Republic. Through comparison and analysis of educational programs, information resources brings lifelong appreciation of the performance features of high schools as a contribution to the development of socially relevant competence and professional groups throughout the company. Specifies the notion of a European educational policy in the field of training and competence development of teachers and works with comparative approaches to the professional education of teachers in selected European countries (Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Poland). Bachelors work describes life style of student, which are studying teaching branch at the university in daily studying. This work studies aspects of their life style from the perspective of health science. It is worked on the assumption that future teachers will work in school institutions, they will have to develop all of aspects pupils´ personality and they will be models for them. In this work there are presented basic concepts, which are concerned of life style: health, life style, individual parts of life style, and defined roles of future teacher. Research section finds through a quantitative research strategies through a questionnaire what is the students life style and tries to answer the questions: "Is their life style healthy? Are students satisfied with their life style? What is their optimal thriving?" The final result of this work is description of discovered attitudes to life style.

The importance of hospital schools is justified by their many years of history. The establishment of a long-term stay for the child in a hospital bed and difficult integration of the child to school. There is a large group of educators who are very necessary, but also hard work. Their work is public enough to be recognised. There are many questions about the work of the special educators in hospitals. I'm aware of the imperfections of his work, but I tried on the exploration of the work of teachers in the hospital At Bulovka.
Training and development of educators

This Bachelor's Thesis deals with the training and development of teaching staff and its aim is to analyse the further education of teaching staff in primary schools and grammar schools, firstly to see whether it is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and then to discover how the further education of teachers is carried out in practice. This was investigated on a sample of primary schools and grammar schools. The current status of the further education of teaching staff was investigated by a questionnaire survey and the results of this investigation, including the identification of problems and proposals for possible improvements to the current situation, are given in the practical part. The conclusion is drawn about how the actual situation differs from the theoretical foundations anchored in the law.
Becoming a teacher - a female perspective

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe aspects related to the process of becoming a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts ? theoretical and research. In the theoretical part the thesis derives information from specialized publications dealing with teaching topics and discusses the history of teaching profession, teacher?s personality, competences and typology. It also analyses the prestige and the causes of feminization of the teaching profession. In the research part using a qualitative study it investigates aspects related to the process of becoming a teacher from the female perspective. The research is based on in-depth interviews with female primary school teachers in different periods of their teaching practise. Dealing with both parts the thesis summarises and generalizes the main aspects affecting the process of becoming a teacher. The thesis is completed with my short essay on a theme ?good teacher?.
The Role of the Teacher of Professional Training at a Secondary Vocational Schoul

I deal with the role of professional training teacher, all the elements that are necessary and important for carrying out this profession in this bachelor thesis. Above all, I point out a teacher and his/her role in the educational process. The theoretical part deals with a characterization od dialetics and its projection into the role of the professional training teacher. I outline the teacher's role, his/her skills and competencies. I also point out the organizational forms, teaching methods and teaching materials and aids. The focus of this bachelor thesis is its practical part which includes the course of the school day itself, teacher's self-evaluation and interviews with students to find out the quality of teaching day. This information can be used for teachers od special subjects to improve the quality of teaching days.
