Title: Screening of musculoskeletal system and level of physical activity in children of younger school age Objectives: The aim of the study is to asseess physical activity of school age in primary school in Dolní Břežany and try to find the most common risk factors for motor development of children in school age. Another aim of the study is to find statistical context between flat foot and age, gender, hypermobility, shortened hamstring muscles, lumbar hyperlordosis, level of core muscles and overweight and between winged scapula and age, gender, hypermobility, shortened m. trapezius and mm. pectorales and level of core muscles. Methods: The research was carried out by using non-standardized questionnaire to assess physical activity. Level of motor development was evaluated by group of physiotherapists. The research population was chosen purposefully by contractual research which consisted of 298 children who study on primary school in Dolní Břežany. For statistical analysis of all measured was used Microsoft Excel software. These data were evaluated by Chi - squared test and logistic regression. Results: It was found that the largest number of children does sports 2-4 hours a week. The most common risk factor of motor development of children is winged scapula and shortened hamstring muscles....
Clinical evaluation of ROM of shoulder joint in cadet and junior category players of so-called overhead sports
Benda, Petr ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
The title of the master thesis: Clinical evaluation of ROM of shoulder joint in cadet and junior category players of so-called overhead sports Abstract in English language: The goal of this thesis is to elucidate whether the "overhead" athletes like handballers and volleyballers suffer from extension changes and local hypermobility in their shoulder joints. These changes are going to be described by trigonometric measurements and hypermobility tests by Sachse. It is going to be determined which "overhead" athletes are affected the most. Their sex is going to be taken into consideration. The theoretical part of the thesis describes selected "overhead" sports and their strain on a human body from a kinesiologic point of view. Especially the impact of offensive blows in volleyball and throws in handball on shoulder joints are going to be examined. The thesis is going to examine a shoulder girdle from an anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, and physiology point of view. A chapter focused on hypermobility and it is classification is included too. 95 people without a prior injury of a shoulder joint in the age from 16 to 19 years old including 73 "overhead" athletes were tested. There were 30 men, 40 women, 34 handballers, and 39 volleyballers. In the control group, there were 22 people, of which 11 men and 11...

Sílová, Markéta ; Žáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the strength of selected muscle groups and the range of motion in sport aerobics athletes Objective: Sport aerobics belongs to group of sport gymnastics, which brings increased demands especially on joint mobility, muscle strength and coordination of movement. Athletes are selected according to these prerequisites the development of which is still supported by training. The thesis follow up the physical measurement of these attributes. The Aim: Evaluation of joint mobility and muscle strength of 12-16 year old sport aerobic athletes and their correlations. Furthermore, the comparison together with the level of the performance group. Method: Measurement of joint mobility using goniometry, hypermobility evaluation using Beighton score, measurement of the muscle strength using HUMAC isokinetic dynamometer. Comparison of measured results with performance group level. Results: During measurement of the joint range using the method goniometry was found, that in flexion of the hip joint had 100 % of the athletes increased joint motion. In hip extension, the joint range wasn't increased at all. Beighton score showed, that 90 % of athletes were constitutionally hypermobile. The relationship between joint range and the values of the muscle strength - peak torque has not been proven. Key...
The effect of hypermobile elbow joint position on hand position in yoga poses.
Wanke, Ondřej ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Králová, Aneta (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of elbow joint position on the position of hand in selected yoga poses (cat pose, downward facing dog pose, upward facing dog pose). Then evaluate the suitability of verbal correction of elbow joint - that is often used in yoga classes. The theoretical part includes information about yoga, hypermobility, anatomy and kinesiology of elbow joint and hand and their mutual relationship. We include literature review of different views on the correct position of hand in poses where the upper limb is in supporting function. In 11 probands (10 females and 1 male) was measured the hyperextension (20.91 ± 4.68 degrees) of elbow joint on the dominant limb. Probands were at age of 27.6 ± 11.1 years. 3 of them regularly practice yoga, another 4 have met with yoga at least once. To evaluate the effect of elbow joint position on the position of hand we used pressure scan PEDIKOM to measure pressure distribution on palm. We also measured the angle of elbow joint before and after the correction using the goniometer. To evaluate palmar pressure changes we made a new evaluating scale. Hyperextended position was significant in cat pose (p < 0,05), in other two poses it was not (p > 0,05). The change of elbow joint position after correction was significant in all three...
Selected characteristics of the mobility in adults (age category 50,0-59,9 y.)
DOUCHOVÁ, Kristýna
The aim of the bachelor´s thesis was to evaluate the mobility of the spine, the condition of flat feet and the basic anthropological characteristics of fifty-years-old adults. There were measured 36 women and 36 men living in small villages of the Vysocina Region. These adults were voluntary firefighters and were involved in firefighting sport. Part of the thesis was to make a research of accessible Czech and foreign literature, which is focused on this subject. From the measured values were selected basic somatic dimensions, such as body height, body weight, circumference of right arm, hips, abdomen and thigh. Values of skin thickness were measured above the biceps, triceps, scapula, above the hip and thigh. The detected results were compared to results of previous research studies. Statistically significant were differences of skin thickness compared to the Czechoslovak Spartakiad in 1985. The average values of skin thickness are increasing compared to the 1985 data. According to the WHR index the distribution of fat was detected as risky in case of men and peripheral in case of women. There were performed tests of the mobility of spine, test of Thomayer, test of Čepoj, test of Stibor, test of Schober and test of Otto. From the tests, which evaluate the hypermobility, there were the lateral flexion test and the scarf test. The mobility evaluated by functional tests was the same as the recommended values for the adult population in case of Stibor, Otto and Čepoj tests or slightly higher in case of Thomayer test and scarf test. In the case of functional tests was found that the volunteer firefighters both men and women, ranging in age from 50 to 60 years have a good mobility of the spine. The footprint was detected by the plantogram method. In a relatively high percentage was detected the occurrence of flat feet, in case of women in sixty percent. The distribution of fat was detected as risky in case of men and peripheral in case of women.
Possibility influencing of hypermobility old school childrens.
PILOUSEK, Miloš
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is hypermobility. The theoretical part is dealing with hypermobility in general. On the other hand the practical part is focused on constitutional hypermobility affecting older school age children. The theoretical part describes the musculoskeletal system followed by a definition of hypermobility and hypermobility syndrome. Next section divides hypermobility into groups and is further dealing with examination and influencing hypermobility. The last section of the theoretical part is dedicated to viable physiotherapeutic methods and concepts which can be applied to treat hypermobile individuals. The aim of the theoretical part was to piece together a text that would manage to complexly summarize information about hypermobility. Both czech and english-written literary sources were used. The practical part focused on two hypermobile probands of older school age. It attempted to reduce the risk of the probands developing functional disorders in the future by selecting and applying appropriate therapy and education. Each of the two probands underwent eight individual therapies. Therapeutic methods of hypermobility syndrome treatment were used. The result was a notable improvement of overall condition of the probands. This was confirmed during final examination. It was also confirmed that hypermobility cannot be directly therapeutically influenced. Both probands agreed the therapy was beneficial and raised their awareness of hypermobility. Objectively speaking it is complicated to evaluate the end results. It would require a long-term research to obtain data proving the benefit of such therapy. This work could be followed up by researching whether preventive physiotherapeutical therapy of older school age children actually diminishes the risk of future development of functional disorders associated with hypermobility.

Sahánková, Ivana ; Rašev, Eugen (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Ankle joint hypermobility in relation to the postural stability evaluated by the postural somatooscillography method Objectives: The aim of this dissertation is to assess the influence of the local joint hypermobility on the postural stabilization measured by postural somatooscilography. It also compares the postural stabilization ability in case of local ankle joint hypermobility to the constitutional hypermobility on the lower limb including acre. Methods: This thesis has been composed by means of descriptive-associative method using the quantitative research comparing two groups of twelve subjects. The research part was evaluated under standard conditions using the monopedal postural provocation test "3 steps - standing on one leg" which was measured on the instable platform "Posturomed". The test results were logged in application Microswing 6. The recorded data was exported and evaluated by "Posturomed Commander" software. Results: The research has not proved a significant statistical difference between the group with local ankle joint hypermobility and constitutional hypermobility. However, the group with local ankle joint hypermobility was found to have slightly worse results, primarily in the ability of long-term stabilization. Keywords: postural stability, Posturomed, ankle joint,...

Roubková, Leona ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: The Assessment of the Impact of the Sports Aerobics on the Postural Stabilization of the girls aged 8 to 10 years Definition of the problem: This thesis deals with testing of the postural stabilization and also deals with detection of the occurrence of hypermobility in two groups of girls aged 8-10 years. The first group consist of girls that do sports aerobics and second group consist of girls that do not do any sport. Objectives: In the theoretical part I will devote a summary of findings on the development of postural security, with motor development and motor learning and also very briefly the hypermobility. The aim is to verify if the sports aerobics has a formative influence on postural stabilization of girls at a school age. I examine if the high training load at this early age leads to changes in postural motor skills in terms of its positive or negative influence. Furthermore, the research confirms the higher incidence of hypermobility among athletes. Methods: Selection of the research group on a voluntary basis and according to predetermined criteria. Practical testing of children assembled using two test batteries. Statistical data processing (Student's t-test, Spearman's correlation coefficient). Comparing the results between the two groups of girls. Results: Two test sets...

Kupková, Monika ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Compensatory exercise for women artistic gymnasts Objectives: Aim of the thesis was to discover deviations from correct posture and to verify efficiency of suggested compensatory exercise for women artistic gymnasts. Used methods: Study involved 9 girls (average age: 12 ± 0,7 years) who have been training gymnastics for 6,22 years in average. Individual subjects were tested for correct posture, tight muscles and hypermobility. Afterwards, an exercise plan stretched into five months was applied (21 lessons common for all the subjects, 14 lessons under a trainer's supervision for each subject individually and 59 at-home lessons). After completing the exercise plan, second testing was run. Results: Majority of the tested group was detected with hypermobility. At the beginning of the study, all the subjects had mild muscle tightness at least on one of the tested muscles (most often hip flexors). Having applying the exercise plan, status of three subjects (33,33 % of the group) has been compensated. Five subjects (55,55 %) have improved the status of at least one tight muscle. Key words: Diagnosis, gymnastics, compensatory exercise, muscular system, posture, hypermobility, tight muscles.
