Building a 3D Printer
Škop, Martin ; Klepárník, Petr (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to analyse available options for 3D printing using FDM technology according to requests of cooperating company, to propose several drafts of electronical and software parts of 3D printers. This also includes their connection, functionality testing and implementation of one chosen draft. The core of this Bachelor thesis was to document the progress in building the 3D printer and also to solve arisen problems. The result of this Bachelor thesis is practical realisation of electronic part of 3D printer including basical tests. Secondary benefit of this Bachelor thesis is to explain the issue of 3D printing with the option of building custom 3D printer from PiBot components.

Control of the 3D printer using Raspberry Pi
Lokajíček, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor project deals with the possibility of solution to control 3D printer type RepRap using single-board computer Raspberry Pi. The theoretical part of semester project contains 3D printing theory focused on 3D printer built at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Technology. The last part of bachelor project is devoted to practical design of compact interface that assure communication between 3D printer and controlling software using Raspberry Pi.

Shared Memory Objects Library
Dudka, Kamil ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis considers problems of IPC (Inter Process Comunication) in modern operating systems. It is concentrated on usage of shared memory as IPC in object-oriented language C++. Thesis includes design and implementation of library, which provides easy end effective usage of shared memory. The library makes possible to share C++ language's objects between processes. Furthermore it creates platform-independent interface for work with shared memory on operating systems Linux and Microsoft Windows. Effectivity of shared memory usage as kind of ICP is evaluated in the conclusion of the thesis.

Application of the Simatic control system for the packaging machine control
Urbánek, Tomáš ; Mišinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
Masters thesis deals with the SIMATIC, which is the process control system from Siemens. Simatic belongs to the group of so-called programmable logic controllers (English Programmable Logic Controller). It is a microcomputer that processes the instructions in real time. I have designed a control algorithm and HMI visualization in my Masterś thesis. Moreover,my attention is focused on PLC S7 - 300. The S7-313C is used for implementations. The proposed solution has been tested and operated in real conditions

Design and construction of automatic galvanic line
Vondruš, Jiří ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Melichar, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of automated system of electroplating. The first part is centered on designing the technological process for this electroplating and the setout of operating vats. It also deals with the project of mechanical construction, electrical system, with the computing procedure and the optimum choice of gear for galvanic line model. The work includes the design of a DC motor controller, the computing procedure and the construction of heating element for vats heater simulation. The last part of this thesis offers an insight to the control system and the assembled program. In the addendum, the photo of the realized model, the wiring scheme, and the programme transcript for control galvanic line model can be found.

Overview of rapid prototyping technology for metallic parts
Žaba, Tomáš ; Nevrlý, Josef (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor paper is to make a survey of Rapid Prototyping methods which enable workability of metal materials. It explains the principles of older methods as well as the latest ones including Selective Laser Sintering, Direct Metal Laser Sintering, and Laser Engineered Net Shaping, Direct Metal Deposition and Electron Beam Melting. The paper presents the examples of practical applications on component parts. The latest equipment and machinery available on present market and their technical specification are listed at the end of the description of individual methods. The paper is completed with visual documentation. The final part of the paper contains the analysis of gained pieces of knowledge and future possible development is outlined.
