Blišťan, Adam ; Vinš, Marek (advisor) ; Mervart, Michal (referee)
The goal of this bachelor essay is to compare trains RegioJet and Pendolino from the perspective of customers and their satisfaction. The theory part is focused on the origin and the history of the train transportation in the Czech Republic, mainly the route from Prague to Ostrava. Next, I describe the current situation of the railway and there is also a mention of the four railway corridors, which is the result of the railway network modernization. The practical part compares RegioJet and Pendolino from the perspective of offered services and the quality of transportation. The outcome is not definite, each train has their own advantages and both of the companies have plans to improve their trains, so it's expected that they will practically offer the same service by the end of the year 2012. Even the results of the questionnaire offered to travelers were very equable. RegioJet research showed more satisfied customers but at the same time several customers evaluated their service as the worst one, which hasn't happened with Pendolino research. RegioJet offers lower price tickets but the service is exactly the same as the service of Pendolino.
