Virtual reality as a tool for diagnosis and therapy in medicine
Kadlec, Jiří ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The use of virtual reality (VR) in the diagnosis and treatment of severe neurodegenerative or neurodevelopmental diseases is a potential alternative to standard methods and is now the subject of many studies and research. One of the objectives of the thesis is a detailed research and analysis of this usage. Another objective is to research and analyze the options of developing VR applications. The main objective of the thesis is the design and implementation of VR application for therapy and diagnosis of patients with Parkinson's disease. The application contain an adaptive environment and three designed exercises based on existing methods for diagnosis and therapy of patients with PD. Among other things, the application also allow you to store exercise data (such as position and rotation data of controls etc.). The implementation was done in the Unity engine with C# as a programming language, with an emphasis on patient adaptation and minimizing the development of VR disease.
Design of a VR workshop
Veškrna, Filip ; Cejpek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with creating a program for virtual reality devices. The theoretical part analyzes available headsets and other accessories. Furthermore, the work deals with the description of available engines for creating VR applications. In the practical part of the thesis, an application for virtual reality is created in Unity, representing a simple workshop. The application contains a number of active and interactive elements in order to create the most convincing impression of a real workshop.
Model visualization in virtual reality
Cmajdálka, Ondřej ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with phenomenon called virtual reality, its historical development and nowadays used technologies. The next part is dedicated to game engines, their history and structure. In practical part a proposal and development of virtual reality environment is described. The proposed environment demonstrates selected features of the game engine that make it a suitable tool for developing virtual reality environments.
Market expansion of a Virtual Reality business into United Kingdom
Development and Implementation of Energy Savings and Energy Management Methodology in an Industrial Enterprise
Utilization of Virtual Reality Technology in Risk Analysis and Safety of Production Machines
Novotný, Tomáš ; Hajduk,, Mikuláš (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
The doctoral thesis introduces a study of possibilities for utilization of virtual reality technology in risk analysis and safety of production machines. The main goal of the thesis is to analyse and examine possible means of integrating visualization and interaction techniques of virtual reality into the risk identification process in the early stage of the production machine life cycle. The proposed work provides a methodological approach to the theoretical implementation of these techniques in the definition of dangerous areas of a machine, identification of sources of possible risks and verification of applied measures built-in in the machine structure. A system approach is used for forming and optimizing the introduced methodological procedures. The solution includes the design of the methodology for effective transfer of 3D design data into immersion virtual reality domain. This enables overcoming existing barriers in exploitation of virtual reality technologies in industrial applications. The next section introduces a procedure of implementation of real tools and equipment in immersion virtual reality domain, including an option for detection of collisions between the real tools and virtual objects. Experimental tests confirm its capability of practical utilization. The impact of the final practical contribution is shown by a decrease in the number of accidents during assembly work, due to its appropriate planning and thanks to training of the personnel on a virtual prototype, carried out already before the manufacturing of the actual machine. The result of the presented doctoral thesis contributes to further qualitative improvement of techniques and methods for preventive increase of safety and reliability of developed machines, particularly of machining centres, which will help increase their competitiveness. The properties of the designed procedures are documented and verified on real industrial cases.
Connectivity control system to virtual reality system
Holešovský, Jiří ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bradáč, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with options of connecting the real control system to the immersive virtual reality system. Options of moving an object in IC.IDO are mentioned in the first part of the thesis. The theoretical part deals with commercial types of gaining data from control systém Sinumerik 840D sl and with programmable types of gaining data which means that there is no need to buy other licenses or software. Two g-codes were made in the experimental part. The first one provides feed of the machine in x axis and the second one reads position of the x axis of the machine and actual times. A script for IC.IDO which moves a model in IC.IDO exactly as the machine moved was written.
Design of Virtual Reality Headset
Blunár, Jan ; John, David (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor thesis is the design of the virtual reality headset. The goal is to design a product that solves ergonomic and technical imperfections of currently existing products. Due to very fast development of the market it was important to follow new trends in this field. The solution I designed is the virtual reality headset with integrated wireless adapter, that enables the device to operate without the restrictions of cables. This gives the product unique selling proposition. Final design both meets ergonomic requirements and respects technical restrictions. At the same time, it uses the newest technology and approaches the solution with respect of fast development of the market.
