Conception of a conical splitter for wood
Stejskal, Jan ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Hloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis consists of an introductory research part and a structural draft of a conical wood splitter with typed technical parameters and maximal log length and width. The thesis contains computing and strength examination of chosen components and final evaluation of designed construction from the law standards viewpoint.
Analysis and Data Extraction from a Set of Documents Merged Together
Jarolím, Jordán ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis deals with mining of relevant information from documents and automatic splitting of multiple documents merged together. Moreover, it describes the design and implementation of software for data mining from documents and for automatic splitting of multiple documents. Methods for acquiring textual data from scanned documents, named entity recognition, document clustering, their supportive algorithms and metrics for automatic splitting of documents are described in this thesis. Furthermore, an algorithm of implemented software is explained and tools and techniques used by this software are described. Lastly, the success rate of the implemented software is evaluated. In conclusion, possible extensions and further development of this thesis are discussed at the end.
Accumulating energy wood head
Pokorný, Radek ; Hloušek, David (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and custom concept of a cutting head for the removal of small seeding trees located on the loading crane of a forestry machine. The device is designed as an extension of the service machine while the loading crane with the cutting head is part of lumber mining machinery or a forwarder. The work is focused on the design of the selected unit.
On Sense Division in a Bilingual Dictionary
Hagenhoferová, Lucie ; Vachková, Marie (advisor) ; Šemelík, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with the dividing the dictionary entry into several "sub-meanings", i.e. with the sense division, and with the closely related ordering of these "sub-meanings", i.e. with the sense ordering, with the bilingual passive German-Czech dictionary in the centre of interest. This thesis deals shortly also with the discriminating the senses by different means, i.e. with the sense discrimination. With these three subjects chronologically following the lexicographic decisions the matter of equivalence and the understanding of the term of meaning are correlated. In the theoretical part of this thesis the specifics of the sense division and the sense ordering in the monolingual and in the bilingual lexicography are introduced, in the practical part of this thesis the possibilities of the sense division and the sense ordering are exemplified with ten chosen substantive lemmas prepared for the Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary in progress. For every lemma the most suitable arrangement of the lemma is suggested, which is then compared with the corresponding dictionary entry in the source dictionary Duden - Deutsches Universalwörterbuch. The differences between the arrangements of the microstructure illustrate the necessity of the revision and eventual modification of the adopted structure...
Habitat dependence of persistence of clonal connection in plants
Martincová, Nina ; Weiser, Martin (advisor) ; Koubek, Tomáš (referee)
The review is about the role of environment to the longevity of connection in clonal plants. The first part is dealing with theoretical models, which describe the interaction of plants with different strategies in longevity of clonal connection in a model habitat. Subsequently, it analyses concrete attributes of the environment - heterogeneity, carrying capacity, amount of disturbances and competition. This part focuses more thoroughly on their impact on persistence of clonal connection and strategy of clonal reproduction in general. The last part refers to some other phenomena which could influence the length of persistence of a clonal connection.
Splitting and Dissociation in Schizophrenia
Pěč, Ondřej ; Raboch, Jiří (advisor) ; Šípek, Jiří (referee) ; Kocourková, Jana (referee)
The term splitting is defined as a process of formation of mental aggregates linked incompatible experiences producing numerous divisions in mental apparatus. Current findings indicate that psychological splitting in schizophrenia is likely specifically presented on a neural level as disrupted organization in neural communication. This disrupted neural communication likely underlies deficits in mental processing described by various neuroscientific concepts such as theories of disturbed connectivity, corollary discharges and dynamic complexity. In this context, a purpose of the theoretical part of the dissertation is to describe basic neuroscience theories that complementarily reflect interrelated processes between mind and brain underlying disturbances of mental integration that likely present a neural representation of the splitting. A purpose of the first part of the empirical research was to examine relationships between psychological process of splitting and disturbed cognitive and affective functions in schizophrenia. A sample of patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD) was used as a control group in this study. Methods: In the clinical study, we have assessed 30 patients with schizophrenia and 35 patients with BPD. The symptoms of splitting were measured using self- reported...
The Economic Importance of Splitting the European Monetary Union
Peľak, Branislav ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Neumann, Pavel (referee)
From recent research on optimum currency areas it is clear that the European Monetary Union does not represent an optimum currency area. Since 2008 the countries of southern part of the eurozone have found themselves in a financial, economic and debt crisis. Therefore a question about the economic importance of splitting the European Monetary Union arises. The aim of this thesis is to give answer to the question of how to divide the eurozone so that the newly formed monetary unions could be considered optimum currency unions, alternatively, so that the newly formed monetary unions are more optimal than currently the eurozone is. Using the method of analysis and synthesis we have reached a decision to divide the eurozone into two parts. One part comprising the southern countries -- Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus and the other part comprising the rest of the eurozone.
Citizens on Splitting of Health Care into "Standard" and "Above-Standard"
Červenka, Jan
According to June survey of Public Opinion Research Centre, 35% of Czechs approve the government's plan to split the health care into "standard" health care, which would remain free (or more precisely paid from existing compulsory public health insurance), and "above-standard", which would be paid directly by patients, 60% oppose it.
