Work in the late capitalistic society as a philosophical problem
Landa, Jindřich ; Hauser, Michael (advisor) ; Lánský, Ondřej (referee) ; Maialeh, Robin (referee)
Title: Work in the late capitalistic society as a philosophical problem Author: Jindřich Landa Department: Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy Supervisor: doc. Mgr. Michael Hauser, Ph.D. Abstract: There is no doubt that work is an important part of human existence and our lives, but it seems that now we are working more than ever before. Just a quick look on our everyday routine will confirm the following statement: work is invading all parts of our lives. Everything is somehow connected to work: we are working on ourselves, on our bodies, on our relationships and it significantly affects our perception of the world. The definition of work and what it implies has dramatically changed in the course of time and hence new challenges have appeared. In this paper I focus on some of these challenges such as the phenomenon of precariat, bullshit jobs, idleness at work, work as a center of human life and new anti- work movements. I am also trying to describe how these problems affects human beings, society and self-presentation of individuals. I also tried to problematize widely accepted idea about the importance of work in the contemporary late capitalistic society and also suggest few ideas how to improve work conditions and life of workers. Key words: existence, work, neoliberalism, capitalism,...
East and West and Cognition
Koláček, Luboš
of rigorous work Mgr. Luboš Koláček, Ph. D. The work is a specific approximation of the European author to the thought of the West with the East, based on the thinkers he selected on both sides. It presents a reflection of ontological, epistemological, ethical and psychological, sociological and other questions and answers to the problem, indicated by the name itself. It is a kaleidoscopic thinking that, by multiplying the contents in the reflections of the others and the others in the third thinkers, intertwines and unfolds into a huge breadth of ideas. In the work, intentionality is contained in the appropriate network of connections, which represents the West as thinking of explicit meanings and the East as thinking of implicit meanings. The point is to present to the reader not only ready-made statements, but the reader is invited by questions to cooperate in uncovering the unconcealed, i.e. aletheia. It is a hermeneutic method that starts from ready-made answers and only then comes to the questions that are at the same time the background from which the answer arose. It is a special dialogical method that does not want to juxtapose ready-made judgments, but requires the reader to go through this challenge as a co-solver of the question that is to come to the difference between the West and the...
East and West and Cognition
Koláček, Luboš ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee) ; Kalábová, Helena (referee)
The work is a philosophical and necessarily also historical-philosophical comparative analysis of mutually corresponding accents of the issue spanning the period from the 8th century BC to the present, with regard to the "axial period" of cultural "miracle" similarly prosperous cultures and philosophies in the relatively severed countries of East and West. It then deals in more detail with some important and fundamental philosophers and spiritual teachers, related scholars or artists of various disciplines, but also lesser-known personalities, based on general inputs into the deepest depths of thought of these thinkers, all in a relatively intuitive connection, because the scope of work does not allow for a more detailed continuous interpretation of such a wide range of issues. In the end, the author emphasizes, philosophically analyzes and evaluates the most pressing issues of contemporary society. The work should primarily show the Way, not lead, but it is up to the reader / researcher to decide how to approach the text. There is always "some" Enlightenment at the end.
Info(VR)architecture
Ponomarevová, Daniela ; Janoščík,, Václav (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis, which I called Info(VR)architecture, I base on my previous projects, in which I have developed through symbolic-dystopian narratives a reflection about human mortality and the fear of losing control, and the influence and power of information of the internet on the state of our shared reality. I deconstruct and reunite these into new constellations in which I explore the relationship between virtual and physical reality and the human being.
Periodic problem for the Duffing equation
V této práci je provedena analýza řešení a existence řešení v autonomních a neautonomních případech uvažované Duffingovy rovnice s podporou simulací v MATLAB.
Figural painting in hanging picture
Kroutil, Jan ; Hůla, Zdenek (advisor) ; Velíšek, Martin (referee)
A content of the bachelor thesis is a theoretical reflection about possibilities of a painted depiction of a human figure and a phenomenon of a hanging picture. The theme of the figural painting is further applied to an educationally-therapeutic practice as an art activity subject for people with mental retardation. The work also contains a documentation of the author's own painting and its reflection. Key words: painting, human figure, stylization, expression, hanging picture, education, mental retardation Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Grospičová, Simona ; Pelcová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee)
TITLE: The Problem of Freedom in Existential Philosophy AUTHOR: Bc. Simona Grospičová DEPARTMENT: Social Sciences and Philosophy Department SUPERVISOR: doc. PhDr. Naděžda Pelcová, CSc. ABSTRACT: The main theme of this dissertation is the concept of freedom in the philosophy of Jean Paul Sarte and Søren Kierkegaard. The aim of this paper is to interpret freedom from the point of view of two representative existential thinkers in order to compare them. The dissertation strives to show that freedom does not have to be seen only as an ethical value but it can also be approached as a fundamental part of ourselves. Freedom is connected with the notion of existence, choice, anxiety, absurdity, paradox and responsibility. The first chapter is dedicated to the theme of existentialism in general. In the second chapter are examined Sartre's atheistic and ontological themes. In the third chapter is Sartre's freedom depicted in relation to the project and choice. The forth chapter concentrates on absolute concept of freedom in J. P. Sartre's philosophy. In the fifth chapter is Sartre's freedom put into relation with absolute responsibility. In the sixth, the seventh and the eighth chapter is examined Kierkegaard's concept of existence and freedom. In the ninth chapter is drawn comparison between these two thinkers and...

Conception of the Other in the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre and Emmanuel Levinas
Tlapa, Tomáš ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a philosophical interpretation of the problem of intersubjectivity in the work of Jean-Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980) and Emmanuel Levinas (1906 - 1995). In the first part, it deals with the conception of the Other in the Jean-Paul Sartre's Being and Nothingness and analyzes (after a brief introduction to Sartre's philosophy) concrete aspects of Sartre's theory of intersubjectivity. This part ends with a critique of Sartre's theory, which enable us to interpret the Levinas's theory as an alternative conception of intersubjektivity. The analysis in the second part is based on the Levinas's book Totality and infinity. The final part sums up the main differences of both conceptions. Key words: intersubjectivity, the Other, existence, freedom, ethics, Sartre, Levinas
