The impact of selected external sources of feedback on activities of school principals

This bachelor's thesis is aimed to learn how particular external sources of feedback affect the work of a headmaster in particular schools of the Liberec Region. We paid attention primarily to the external sources of feedback that may affect educational process. So we paid the most attention not only to the external sources providing external evaluation, such as the Czech School Inspectorate, school authorities, but also to sources providing information from national and international examinations in the measurement of students' education outcomes, or external sources providing results of unified entrance exams and school leaving exams. Research investigation had the character of qualitative research the main method of which was an interview which was subsequently transcribed into protocols and which was further analyzed, interpreted, and evaluated. The total of five school principals from the Liberec Region were addressed of whom two school principals were from public schools, two school principals from private schools and one school principal from a religious school. Pre-school education and tendence of its development

The thesis deals with the development of pre-school education in the Czech Republic with a focus on the time period of school years 2005/2006 - 2015/2016. This period was chosen because the author's intention was to assess a longer period of time based on data in the CSI Annual Reports. The annual report for the last school year was available at the time of writing. The aim is to identify and evaluate tendencies in pre-school education within a given time frame. The text is divided into several parts, dealing with pre-school education in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part outlines the development of pre-school institutions and the external conditions of pre-school education. It describes the status of individual segments that are part of pre-school education. It brings the analysis of curriculum documents, mentions the current situation in the training of pre-school teachers and gives a tendency in this area. Another area is devoted to view of pre-school education in some European countries. Professional Qualification of Pedagogical Staff of Elementary and Secondary Schools in relation to the Long-term Plan for Education and Development of the Educational System of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with current qualifying requirements on pedagogical workers working at primary and secondary schools in context of component goals achievement given by Education Policy Strategy 2020. It is devided into two parts. The teoretical part is devoted to amendments to Act n. 563/2004 (Act on Educational Workers) from the perspective of legal claims to professional qualification of pedagogical workers and searches connects with component goals defined in Education Policy Strategy 2020 and other curricural documents. It captures possible pitfalls of providing skilled pedagogical workers that follow from regional situation on the labor market and describes possibilities of their solutions includinng opinions of control members especially Czech School Inspection. It defines goverment priorities in relation to the teaching profession. The research part compares availability of skilled pedagogical workers in parts of two Czech Republic regions where there is assumption of different potential on labor market. School Board and its participation in School Management

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of setting up school councils in elementary schools. Respondents of empirical research were directors of complete primary schools in the Hradec Králové Region. In particular, the results of the survey can be used to find possibilities for cooperation between the principal and the school council, so that its activities can help to the overall development of the educational process in the given school. As a basis for reflection, it can serve all stakeholders, i.e. school management, pedagogical staff, founders, and last but not least parents. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out to what extent and in what areas the school council influences the management of the principal. The partial aim was to specify the problematic areas of the relationship from the point of view of the principal and to suggest how to mitigate or eliminate their effects. Respondents of the empirical research were founders' deputies of complete primary schools in Hradec Kralove Region and chairpeople of their school council.In particular, the results of the survey can be used to find possibilities for cooperation between the principal and the school council, so that its activities can help to the overall development of the educational process in the given school. As a basis for reflection, it can serve all stakeholders, i.e. school management, pedagogical staff, founders, and last but not least parents. The aim of this thesis is to find out which with the law given competencies of school councils the founders concider to be the most important and the most useful during keeping and managing their schools. The partial aim wants to verify if the founders' opinion is the same with chairpeople's opinion in the school council.
