Data evaluation was carried out using the keys of each questionnaire, which include procedures for calculating scores. Descriptive statistics...
The effect of incorporating music into a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation programme on balance, gait, self-sufficiency and psyche: an experimental non-randomised study
Vokáčová, Zuzana ; Hlinovská, Jana (advisor) ; Řasová, Kamila (referee)
The main objective: To empirically assess the impact of integrating therapy incorporating elements of music and dance into a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for neurological patients, with a focus on its effects on their balance, gait, self- reliance, and psychological well-being compared to a control group. Methods: In a non-randomized experimental study, two groups will experience a comprehensive neurological program following the standard protocol of FTN in Prague. The experimental group will receive additional therapy incorporating music and dance elements (2-3 times a week, 8 sessions over 4 weeks, each lasting 40 minutes). Participants will undergo pre - and post-program testing, with analysis comparing results between groups using a two-sample t-test, and within-group changes using a paired t-test. Results: Improvements in balance and gait in Tinetti test were seen in both groups, but the differences weren't statistically significant, making it unclear which group improved more. Other gait tests (TUG test and 6 MWT) showed no significant changes. Both groups saw significant improvement in self-efficacy measured by the FIM scale, with the control group showing a superior improvement. Psychological evaluation also improved in SF-36 in both groups, but without statistical significance. Thus,...

Author: Zuzana Košatková Title: Relation of depression, stress and anxiety levels and current mood state with the size of the complex response during stimulation of reflex turning according to Vojta. Aims: The main aim of the thesis is to clarify whether there is a relationship between the level of depression, anxiety and stress levels and current mood state with the size of the complex response during the stimulation of reflex turning according to Vojta (VRL). Other aim is to find out whether reflexive turning according to Vojta has an effect on current mood state. Methods: The study was conducted on 27 healthy women aged 19-25 years. At the beginning of the research participants completed the DASS-42 and POMS-SF questionnaire. Then, a 10-minute placebo stimulation of reflex turning ("chest zone" between the 2nd and 3rd ribs) was performed. During the 10-minute break, probands again completed the POMS-SF questionnaire. This was followed by 10-minute of reflex turning stimulation by Vojta from thesupine position from the thoracic zone between the 6th and 7th ribs. At the end of the session, participants completed the POMS-SF questionnaire for the last time. Non-parametric repeated measures ANOVA, post-hoc Durbin-Conover test and correlation matrix with Kendall's Tau B correlation coefficient were...
The effect of play therapy on the child's psychological well-being during hospitalization
ARBELOVSKÁ, Natálie
Current status: The course of hospitalization can be a very stressful situation for a child that he or she may not have encountered before. The child may experience fear of the unknown, loneliness and separation from peers. Play therapy is a therapeutic method that helps to ease the child's hospitalization. This play can be used as a tool and motivation for hospitalized children. The objective of this thesis is to map the effects of a hospital stay on the child's psyche. Another aim is to determine the effect of play therapy on the psychological well-being of the hospitalized child. Methodology: A qualitative research strategy was chosen for the research part. Semi-structured interview technique and observation technique were chosen for data collection. The sampled population that were interviewed, consisted of parents and their children who were admitted to a pediatric ward. The results: The result of the analysis of the responses to the research questions revealed, that the use of play therapy in the hospital has a significant positive effect on the psyche of the hospitalized child and on a better experience of the hospital environment. When examining the second objective, it was found that the majority of the children hospitalized in the pediatric ward did not show significant psychological sequelae due to their hospital stay, suggesting that this stay did not have a significant impact on their psychological state. Conclusion: The research investigation revealed that play therapy in hospital is an integral part of hospitalisation and helps children to relax and better experience their hospitalisation. It has a significant positive impact on their psyche. This bachelor thesis can serve as a study material for students dealing with this issue. Based on the results of the study, an educational leaflet "the use of play therapy in blood collection" was designed. The leaflet will serve, as an aid for nurses in the pediatric ward. Based on the results of the study, an educational plan "the use of play therapy during blood collection" was designed. The plan will serve as a tool for nurses in the children's ward.
Obstacles in life
Jedličková, Eliška ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis, I decided to devote my study to the field of sports, the personality of the athlete and especially his psyche. I am interested in connecting the inner feeling of the athlete and the given movement, which in my interpretation, is jumping over an obstacle. I don´t want to point out and portray the realistic, perfectly shaped body of the athlete, but I want to portray the inner feelings, dynamics, mechanicalness and disturbed concentration, which should be embodied by the individual segments.

Author: Bc. David Svoboda Title: Authentic experiences and recommendations from Olympic champions to build mental resilience and manage the psychological consequences of health problems Objectives: As there are not many surveys and publications dealing with psychological consequences caused by health problems in top- athletes' career, the main purpose of the research was to analyse authentic experience and recommendations, how the selected Olympic winners lived through these periods, what experience they have and what they would recommend to other athletes in this context from the viewpoint of their mental resistance. Furthermore, we will attempt to reveal possible consequences between the athletes' health and mental health. The following aim is to summarise this information into valid recommendations for other sportsmen. Methods: To obtain detailed information, a qualitative method through a structured interview with open questions (Hendl, 2005) was selected. The structured interview was conducted with nine Olympic winners and it contained 12 basic questions that were divided into three main sectors for clarity - a sector of athlete's mental resistance, a sector of athletes' health problems and their consequent reaction and the respondents' ideas and recommendations. The results were subjected to...
