Vejmělková, Lada ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Horvátová, Eva (referee) ; Łapińska, Justyna (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
This dissertation presents research results on the identification of internal and external factors affecting angel investors’ decision to exit the venture capital market in the Czech Republic. The research is based on semi-structured interviews and questionnaire surveys with 25 angel investors. Content analysis of qualitative and quantitative data serves as the main tool of data processing. The data contained in the resulting data matrix is subjected to statistical analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results indicate that the main form of exit of angel investors includes business sales, which, given the evolution of internal and external factors, is timed to maximize the return on investment. Moreover, exit is usually the result of an opportunistic approach to exit planning. The research results further suggest that the most important internal factors affecting angel investors’ exit include confidence, qualitative criteria for the evaluation of the investment by the angel investor, level of technological innovation, and contractual arrangements for the exit. In the case of external factors, the most important for an angel investor are the change and level of future demand for the the target company, geopolitical developments, or the tax system. The research results are used to formulate a multi-criteria decision model that serves as a decision support tool for angel investors exit decision.
Determinants of football players' market value during the season: Discrepancies between TOP 5 and the rest of the leagues
Chalupa, Vojtěch ; Kurka, Josef (advisor) ; Bajgar, Matěj (referee)
Football is a global phenomenon, primarily driven by clubs acquiring players who perform on their behalf on the pitch. The valuation of footballers during transfer negotiations is influenced by numerous factors. This thesis expands upon existing research by examining the discrepancies in the mechanisms of player market value formation between the top 5 European leagues and other competitions, using values from Transfermarkt.com together with the data from the 2022/23 season. Employing the Ordinary Least Squares method, we dis- cover that the substantial enhancement in the total price tags of players in the elite leagues is accompanied by variations in the factors a ecting these values. Notably, the analysis reveals significant disparities in the influence of ball possession-related statistics such as successful passes, dribbles, and the xG indicator, which tend to positively a ect player values only in less presti- gious leagues. Common significant factors with strong e ects in both groups include pre-season player's worth, number of minutes played, goals scored, and statistics reflecting team success. Contrary to previous studies, this research identified that age consistently impacts all players negatively. Further analysis also explores di erences between individual positions on the pitch and within...

This master thesis focuses on uncovering the determinants of growth in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into a theoretical basis, which is devoted to economic growth and the determinants that can affect it, and an analytical part, where the dependence of selected determinants on economic growth is examined. The results of the individual analyses are compared with each other. At the end of this thesis, the results are discussed and recommendations are formulated for the top institutions of the selected countries.
Matrices, Determinant and Body Volume
Šomplák, Radovan ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vašík, Petr (advisor)
In his thesis describes the basic properties of matrices, determinants and their use in display issues between vector spaces. In the final chapters devoted to determinants and its applications, which indicates the relation between determinants and calculation of volume. Subsequently determinanti describes how to use in calculating the elements using multiple integrals. Another possible application is the so-called Cramerovo rule which allows us to solving systems of linear equations.
Fast Ray-Triangle Intersection

Relationships of People With Multiple Disabilities
Ramseidlová, Dana ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the topic of partner relationships of people with multiple disabilities. The academic literature does not pay enough attention to this issue. However, knowledge in this area is essential for the proper integration of individuals into society and for ensuring their opportunities to develop social relationships comparable to those seen in mainstream intact society. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to identify the characteristics of partnership cohabitation of people with combined disabilities. To this end, a qualitative research investigation was conducted in the form of structured interviews. The research sample consisted of a total of 13 respondents, 11 persons with combined disabilities and 2 senior staff members of the Jedlička Institute. The thesis provides a detailed insight into the formation and functioning of partnership relationships and identifies the determinants that influence these relationships through the open coding method. The main finding of the analysis is the negative connotation of the identified determinants, which thus represent rather barriers preventing the formation of relationships. This finding represents a challenge not only for social service workers but also for individuals with disabilities to find ways to overcome these barriers. KEYWORDS...
Príliv priamych zahraničných investíciíc do krajín V4
Chovanec, Miloslav
Chovanec, M. Determinants of foreign direct investments to the V4 countries. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2020. The aim of this thesis is to identify the determinants of foreign direct investment to the V4 countries. The aim of the thesis is fulfilled through regression analysis of time data of selected variables in the period 1997 to 2019. The work also describes and evaluates the development of foreign direct investment inflows to individual countries. The identified indicators point to the diversity of results within the V4 countries. In the Slovak Republic, the most significant factors influencing the inflow of foreign direct investment are the factors inflation and infrastructure. For Czech Republic the main factor is infrastructure and corporate tax factor for Poland. For Hungary, no factor was found to be significant at the 1 % level of significance, but some factors are identified that affect the inflow of foreign direct investment to Hungary at 5 and 10 % of the level of significance, namely GDP per hour factor, inflation and action factor elections in a given year.
Work determinants of nurses in homes for the elderly people.
KUBALOVÁ, Daniela
The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the issue of the determinants of the work of nurses in homes for the elderly. Determinants are factors that affect the mental and physical burden of nurses when caring for the elderly in a residential facility. A home for the elderly is a residential facility intended for seniors with reduced self-sufficiency. Here, seniors require regular help from another person to provide for their needs. The nurse is an indispensable part of the medical team that cares for the elderly in these facilities. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to map the most frequent determinants of the work of nurses in homes for the elderly. The practical part was processed using a qualitative research survey. The research sample consisted of 10 general nurses working in a given home for the elderly in a standard ward and a ward with a special regime. Data for the work were obtained using semi-structured interviews. The results of the research showed that the interviewed nurses are influenced by a whole range of determinants, where some determinants have a negative and some positive effect. Nurses consider the work team, motivation and work environment to be the determinants that influence them the most. A positive finding was that the work in the home fulfills the nurses, and the care of the elderly is satisfying. Nurses perceive frequent overwork of the staff as a negative. These findings can be used by the management of individual facilities to sufficiently motivate existing general nurses.
