User Decision and the Paradox of Choice in WWW

This Bachelor thesis deals with the theory of decision making of web users. Therefore, it analyzes theories of phenomena such as the paradox of choice with closer focus on the concept of usability in applications. Based on previous theories, the work describes the selection, revision and testing of specific web application in context with term of the usability. The thesis also analyzes the methodology, procedures, measurement results and conclusions of testing. As a result, there were made few general recommendations for designers of internet applications that can help in the process of designing more usable systems.
Possibilities of value analysis utilization by selection of mortgage lender

The aim of this master’s thesis is to find the best type of mortgage loan for several kinds of borrowers. The first part describes personal housing financing, use of loans, use of mortgages in general. At the end of this theoretical part the value analysis is explained as a tool for mortgage lender (or the type of mortgage loan) selection and the way of reaching this goal is defined. Second part is a practical example of how to make decision and find the best choice. It selects the most important criteria and real cash flow is simulated to asset the price of each possibility. Using the discrimination method and efficiency rate the possibilities are ranked. Results are commented on and recommendations are set to every type of client. In conclusion, general method for selection before getting a mortgage is proposed.
Efficiency of social services funding

Diploma thesis deal with effectiveness of social service's funding. Its aim is to describe and to evaluate the system of social service's funding. Thesis focuses on two providers of subsidies - Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and regions. In theoretical part describes the method for allocating funds between social services. It is based largely on publicly available documents of regions and MLSA. In the practical part presentation development of social service's expenditures between 2007 - 2013. Diploma thesis subjects social service's expenditure to analysis based on 4E criteria. Fulfilling the criteria of effectiveness is examine by using the correlations method. On selection social services also apply the method of multi-criteria decision. To set criteria, indicators and their weights co-operate professionals from the relevant department of the Regional Authority. Thesis includes several theoretical concepts, on which basis are outlined possibilities of change in the way of social service's funding. This thesis also deal with legislative change that occurred during its processing. It describes also a new method for allocation of public resources between social services.
Non-financial motivation of workers in the education sector and the commercial sector

The aim of the bachelor thesis is "The comparison of non-financial motivation of workers in the education sector and the commercial sector." As a specific education representatives were chosen for comparison "Elementary Schools" and as a representatives for the commercial sector "business companies in the area of IT." The work is divided into several parts. The first part focuses on the definition of theoretical conceptions related to motivation, stimulation of human resources and also mentioned the main theories on motivation. Another "methodology" part is focused on the description of the research strategy and the process of gathering and processing of the obtained data. The next part "analytics" of which are evaluated results of research which was conducted in personally with questionnaire and with the option of additional questions in the context of semi-structured interview. The conclusion is conceived as a verbal summary of lessons learned derived from questionnaires and subsequent interviews, in terms of comparison of non-financial motivation of workers in the education sector and the commercial sector and offers a new perspective on the use of existing motivational tools in both spheres.

Flat and formalistic approach in law Many processes in law take place automatically and through inertial force, without admitting one's free will and without encompassing values important to man (freedom, dignity, justice). The bearers of the process of automation in law are Machines (or Automats), i.e. tools ensuring primary legal certainty. However, in addition to the subpage of legal certainty, law also consists of the subpage of justice and effectiveness, which is not controlled by Automats, because their algorithms do not often reflect this subjective dimension in law. The trend of automation in law undoubtedly contributes to a number of improvements, however, there appear risks as well. Since the human soul cannot be programmed by Automats, it cannot be assumed that their decision-making, i.e. their output, will be fair and effective in all circumstances. However, in traditional approach in law this output is considered equal to a binding legal norm. As an example of Automat in the field of mobility the traffic lights may serve, in the field of state administration there are automatic forms or formulas, in the judiciary Automat is represented by a judge acting as a robot (subsumption automat), and artificial intelligence may be seen as the most sophisticated Automat of all. The prototype should be constructed according to the attached technical documentation displaying final artistic design with a possible construction solution.

Problematika zadávání veřejných zakázek malého rozsahu

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou zadávání veřejných zakázek malého rozsahu a to se zaměřením na problémy, se kterými se musí potýkat zadavatelé 42. mechanizovaného praporu při zadávání veřejných zakázek malého rozsahu prostřednictvím elektronického tržiště Tendermarket a s problémy, které jsou spojeny s výběrem vhodného dodavatele. V teoretické části se seznámíme s pojmem veřejná zakázka malého rozsahu, jejím členěním a zmapujeme právní předpisy a nejdůležitější interní normativní akty (dále jen INA), které zkoumanou problematiku upravují v resortu MO ČR. Analytická část bude zaměřená na samotné problémy, se kterými se zadavatelé potýkají při zadávání a vyhodnocování veřejných zakázek malého rozsahu. Na jedné zakázce malého rozsahu bude vysvětlen postup zadávání zakázky v elektronickém tržišti Tendermarket. Následně budou vyhodnoceny problémy či nedostatky, které při tomto zadávání a vyhodnocení vznikly.

Bachelor thesis focuses on managing the quality of the products of a small engineering firm which produces custom metal work to order.The first part focuses on theory on a historical basis and the development of quality management. This section also analyses the norms of ISO 9000 and working towards the implementation of quality management systems within the organisation to achieve the standards of ISO 9001. The second part is devoted to analysing the systems of management and production quality before and after introducing the ISO9000 standard in this particular organisation. The conclusion of this work is to evaluate the company using SWOT analysis, which highlights opportunities for improvement.
