Specifics and current challenges of school counseling at Charles University and Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague from the perspective of students

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of counselling in the university environment. Specifically, it focuses on the counselling provided at Charles University and the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague from the perspective of students. The topic of counselling for university students is a very key issue. These services help students to overcome academic and personal obstacles that can make it difficult to complete their studies and thus close students possible entry into the labor market. The topics of the theoretical part of this thesis are the characteristics and background of counselling, the types of counselling services provided, and, in particular, research and comparison of counselling services provided at selected universities. The thesis aims to describe the current situation of counselling at each university using the students' opinions and thus identify the aspects influencing the awareness and overall usability of counselling services. The resultant data of the survey points to the fact that students are rather uninterested in counselling. The diploma thesis focuses on informal education in the Existential hagiotherapy course. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis and analysis of professional literature in the field of lifelong and informal adult education and existential hagiotherapy. It presents strategic documents in the field of non-formal education, religious and spiritual literature as well as existential hagiotherapy. Based on this analysis, basic terms are defined and elements of spiritual education of adults are specified, which enable better orientation in the text of the diploma thesis. Motivation of students of career counselling to the profession of a career counsellor

The diploma thesis focuses on the field of career counselling in its entirety. The theoretical part defines concepts such as motivation and career and describes the most well-known career typologies. It presents the sectors where career counsellor can be found, including the definition of target groups that most often seek the career counsellors help. It comprehensively introduces the services, forms, methods and tools used by career counsellors, including his or her competences according to the National Occupation Classification System. It deals with the education of career counsellors, including the standards of the National Qualification System. The empirical part focuses on the motivation of students in career counselling to pursue the profession of career counsellor. The thesis aimed to identify the reasons for studying the chosen field and the cocerns that respondents perceive in connection with their future career. It monitors the development of personnel work over time and changes in the approach and management of human resources. The diploma thesis focuses on the application of educational and counseling activities in the practice of probation officers. Probation is viewed as a tool of social andragogy, the practical application of which can be found in institutions that focus, among other things, on the socialization and resocialization of individuals such as criminals. The aim of the work is to analyze and characterize the educational and counseling activities that selected probation officers use in their work with persons released from imprisonment and to identify barriers to their use. A secondary aim of the research findings is to determine which activities are considered most effective in the process of integrating these persons into society according to the selected probation officers. The diploma thesis analyses the work and contribution of clergymen in the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the role of the chaplains in the prison environment, it also deals with its historical development and key moments in history that have influenced the contemporary form of spiritual care of convicts. The theoretical part also presents an enumeration of the possibilities and specifics of development and education of convicts in the prison care system and the system of functioning of the educational and developmental system available to convicts during their sentence. It is within this spectrum of activities and activities that the role of spiritual care is further embedded in the theoretical part. Further, the theory articulates the impact of spiritual care on the lives of convicts and the experience of punishment. Acquisition and development of professional competencies of attorneys

Due to the nature of their work, attorneys, as professional legal representatives of natural and legal persons, must possess a variety of professional, digital and soft skills. The aim of the thesis is to analyse and identify the professional competences possessed by attorneys, and to determine how professional competences can be acquired and developed. The theoretical part, based on a literature review, introduced the lawyer as a profession providing legal services. Furthermore, the general concept of competences and competency models were presented. The research methodology used is qualitative. The research (empirical) part is based on the technique of semi-structured in-depth interviews with attorneys, which allowed a more detailed evaluation of the relationship of attorneys to individual professional competences, including the way they are acquired and developed in their working life. Based on the qualitative analysis of the research findings, which was conducted using an inductive method, it was found that attorneys generalise professional competences into 4 groups. The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and educational needs of teaching staff, specifically primary school teachers, within the framework of continuing professional education courses. The work also deals with the barriers to further education experienced by these workers. Further education of teaching staff enables teaching staff to deepen or expand their qualifications, which is essential for the further performance of their profession. Factors influencing the motivation for such education can be quite diverse and result from the individual educational needs and attitudes of specific individuals. The thesis deals with new possibilities and approaches in the field of education and resocialization of individuals in prison. The process of treatment of prisoners in the prison system is carried out by systematic and professional methods of treatment. At present, according to the current strategic document, the Concept of the Prison System until 2025, the main focus is on education and employment of persons in prison. The issue of resocialisation and further education of convicts is developed within the framework of social andragogy. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the career path and the survey of the opinions of primary school teachers on the introduction of career regulations. In the theoretical part, it defines pedagogical practice, further education, and professional development of pedagogical workers and the career growth of teachers. The main objective of the empirical part was to describe the opinion of pedagogical workers on the introduction of the proposed career order and to identify the current social influences that influence pedagogical workers when implementing the career order in practice. The secondary objectives were to describe how the professional career of a primary school teacher proceeds and to identify differences in the professional career of teachers in the context of their experience and age. The research investigation was based on a qualitative approach and a semi-structured interview method was used to collect data.
