Development of pedagogical staff in relation to trends in secondary school management

The subject of the diploma thesis entitled Development of pedagogical staff in relation to trends in the management of secondary schools is the analysis of approaches in terms of national strategy, but also in terms of secondary schools themselves. The theoretical part presents the educational policy and educational system in the Czech Republic, the legislative concept and definition of education and a description of the control body, which is the Czech School Inspectorate. The work also contains a theoretical basis and theoretical background of the issues focused on the strategic management of human resources in general, but also in the concept of secondary education. The starting point of the research is the approach to strategic management of human resources in the field of education of teachers at secondary schools according to conceptual documents focusing on the quality of education and development of teachers in the Czech Republic and the use of funds offered by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Analysis of quality management in selected education organisation

The diploma thesis focuses on the area of quality management of a selected educational organization. The goal of the diploma thesis is to identify key areas of management of an educational organization and - based on an analysis of the current situation - to suggest possible improvements to ensure a long-term successful and competitive organization. The diploma thesis describes the starting points of the topic such as education, educational organizations, broader concept of management and its functions, application aspects of management, principles of quality management principles with specifics in education, approaches to setting systemic measures to increase quality in educational organizations, etc. The diploma thesis contains a methodology for research, outputs, proposals and recommendations to increase the quality of selected areas. In these areas are examined the processes affecting the success of the organization and the effectiveness of activities. The diploma thesis is focused on the planning of personal development of employees in the context of the process of performance management in the organization. Attention is paid to the role and function of personal development planning in achieving the set goals in the process of performance management. The theoretical part defines concepts of performance management, education and development and personal development planning and describes theories of these concepts. The analytical part, based on a study of internal documents and interviews with managers, describes how the work performance of employees in Czech-Moravian Guarantee and Development Bank is managed. The result of this research was identification of weaknesses in the application of the concept of work performance management in the organization. Finally, recommendations are proposed in order to streamline the mentioned processes in the organization. Education of athletically gifted pupils in talent management context

This thesis deals with talent management with the topic of education of sport talented students. The introductory part defines basic terms, such as talent, natural ability, talent management and education of talented students subjected to regulation No.27/2016 (legal code) about education of students with special educational requirements and talented students. Subchapters of the theoretical part deal with specification and conditions of sport talented students' education, their support and search for. An integral part is also a subchapter defining sport psychology and its application when eliminating the dilemma of a double career. The introductory part is an initial part for the practical part, which based on the quantitate survey, describes the support and compares the possibilities of education of sport talented pupils and students at primary as well as secondary schools in the Czech Republic.
Career workload challenges of selected principals

The thesis Vocational Workload of Headmasters at Randomly Selected Primary Schools deals with the structure of headmasters` vocational activities at fully organized public primary schools. In its theoretical part the thesis concerns with the institution of headteacher from the legislation`s perspective, further it describes individual occupational roles of a headmaster - a leader, a manager and a practitioner. The main aim of the theoretical part is to map the structure of headmasters` vocational activities and match them with individual occupational roles held by a headmaster. The empirical part focuses on investigation based on the data gained from half-structured interviews that we held with individual headmasters of randomly selected fully organized public primary schools in Prague 8. Analyzing the interviews, we were detecting the structure of the headmasters` vocational activities: Which vocational activities match with particular occupational roles of a headmaster, if the roles are equally divided and whether the workload of the headmasters is appropriate in its amount. The structure of headmasters` vocational activities at fully organized public primary schools is in large measure related to the stretch of time considered - the setting of headmasters` daily vocational routines is different...
