Vančura, Jakub ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: The effect of vibration training on the Power Plate on human performance Objectives: Following the training schedule, the groups will be tested and results compared; as well as the study results revealed. Methods: In my diploma work I set out to test 16 individuals, who undergo an 8 week training program on the Power Plate vibration technology machine. Eight women and eight men will be separated into two groups. The first group (four men, and four women) will exercise on a vibrating machine, whereas the second group will exercise on the machine without any vibrational stimulus. Explosive agilities (Boscuv test - longest air-time). Reaction speed (auditory reaction to a beep signal, and reactometer test for both the upper and lower limbs. Flexibility (testing a sitting hamstring reach). Antropometric testing (Body mass, girth, active muscle weight, BMI). In order to be able to judge development, as well as to gauge kinesiologic abilities, I applied a number of special tests. The results of individual results are noted in the tables. The T-test was applied as a statistics method. Results: Through repeated measure, it was discovered that the group training on the Power Plate achieved improvements in three out of four tests. Two tests showed above average results against standard, especially in...
Exposure of children to atmospheric aerosol in school gyms
Šafránek, Jiří ; Braniš, Martin (advisor) ; Holcátová, Ivana (referee) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Research into indoor environment has shown that schools are buildings with high- levels of particulate matter concentrations. This is especially the case of schools situated in high-density traffic or in industrial areas. Several studies have also proven the impact of PM on the teenage generation's health. So far no detailed study has been performed to cover the environment of school gyms where the PM dynamics are different from other indoor microenvironments. This different dynamics relates to the gym environment heterogeneity and to the human activities taking place in it. Due to higher pulmonary ventilation, the exposure of the exercising pupils can reach levels possibly noxious to their health. Size resolved mass concentrations of aerosol were measured in three elementary Schools in Prague. One school was situated in the city centre with high traffic density. The second school was situated on a plateau on the periphery with a medium level traffic. The third school can be found in Prague south-western suburbia, in an open landscape, with low traffic density. PM concentrations were measured simultaneously in naturally ventilated gyms and outdoors ajacent to the particular school building. Two pairs of monitors were used throughout the study: A DustTrak Aerosol Monitor and a Personal Cascade...

Bennanis, Shukri ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Kučera, Miroslav (referee) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: Evaluation of health related physical fitness of elementary school students in Libya. Aims: Evaluating the elements of physical fitness related to health of students of elementary education of Libya, and comparing their level with students of other countries according to the availability of data. Methods: Statistical survey and comparative analysis. Results: The researcher used a set of fitness tests related to health using the presently implemented physical fitness test battery to get results to present the realistic outcomes to officials who take care of physical activity, which is one of the bases of health as we know. This research identifies the current health-related fitness levels of students in (Aljmeel, Regthaleen, Zwara) school district and suggests cultural differences that may influence that fitness status, and discussed four the evaluating of elements of physical fitness related health, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, flexibility and body composition which measured by 1 mile run, sit up test, sit and reach and skinfold caliper. The study showed that the mean and std were: height, weight, cardiorespiratory, muscular strength, flexibility and skinfold are (141.832 ± 9.405), (42.398 ±10.592), (10.957 ± 1.579), (20.045 ± 11.690), (13.865 ± 6.024), skinfold is (17.546...
The rise heart rate in ski - mountaineering
Hepnar, Jan ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The rise heart rate in ski-mountaineering. Objectives: The main objective was to determine differences in heart rate of growth at different slopes and a constant increasing rate of ski-mountaineering trainer of this study, comparisons to the anaerobic threshold ski-mountaineerers and comparison of oxygen consumption. Methods: Seven ski-mountaineerers of different levels were testing in laboratory of ski-mountaineering simulator. We calculate of maximum oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold. Results: The research results confirm the hypothesis that heart rate increases constantly during a gradual acceleration of the different gradients. Maximum oxygen consumption is higher on ski.mountaineerring trainer than this similar test on running and bicycle ergo meter. Keywords: ski-mountaineering, heart rate, oxygen consumption, ski-mountaineer trainer

The study includes a data evaluation of questionnaire about hockey experiences of women players. The exercise anaerobic 30s Wingate test has been implemented on selected group of women ice-hockey players from 14 to 26 years (x = 17.8 ± 3.7). The results of this group have been compared with results of three groups of hockey players ages 15, 16 and 17 (x = 14.98 ± 0.81; x = 16.03 ± 0.41; x = 17 ± 0.35). Working hypothesis supposed no differences between anaerobic training facility indices of women and boys ages 15, 16 and 17. Methods : Basic statistical items (x-arithmetic mean, SD-standard deviation) for all 4 groups (women, boys age 15, 16 and 17) have been evaluated. The statistical significance of differences between average values of file parameters has been tested by T-test (also known as...
Stereo reconstruction from wide-angle images
Heller, Jan ; Suk, Tomáš (referee) ; Pajdla, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis presents rectification methods of an omnidirectional stereo pair. Several methods are developed and a novel rectification method called stereographic rectification is introduced. In the second part of the thesis, a method of 3D reconstruction from a stereo pair rectified using an arbitrary method of the adduced methods is presented. Further, a method of judging the accuracy of an essential matrix based on the stereographic rectification is devised. At the end of the thesis, several examples of image pairs rectified by OmniRect Matlab toolbox developed as a part of this work, are shown.
