Karlín in the Changes of Time

This work deals with the dynamically developing Prague district Karlín. It is conceived as a tour through this district while stopping at interesting places that come after the general introduction to the history of the district. The first stop is the Museum of Prague capital city. Then, the other steps are heading to other important historical as well as industrial constructions the most important of which are the Negrelli Viaduct, the Music Theatre, St. Charles Boromeus chapel, the St. Cyril and Metoděj church, the former Karlín Town Hall and industrial estates in the Křižíková, Thámová and Sokolovská street, the primary school in the Lyčkovo square, the National house, Invalides house, the new administrative buildings in the Rohan island or the Hilton hotel. While writing this thesis, I was largely inspired by the Czech TV programme "Šumná města" In compliance with the mentionned TV production, this work aims to become something more than a boring list of data. It is in fact a coordinated tour that focus on selected entities confronted with the march of time. Celts and their influence on modern European cultures

The diploma thesis Celts and their influence on modern European cultures engages in Celtic nations, describes their history and presents remainders of Celtic culture in modern cultures. The thesis is focused on the influence of the Celts on the French region of Brittany and the Czech Republic. It mainly describes the heritage of the Celtic culture in the contemporary society in the form of Druidism, feasts, perception of nature and other traditions. It aims to create a complex image of the Celtic civilization. The second objective of the thesis is to confirm or refute the original connection of the modern Celtic cultural elements on a historical culture of the Celts. It achieves these aims on the basis of analysis, synthesis and subsequent comparison of obtained information about historical and contemporary Celts. The diploma thesis comes to the conclusion that all studied cultural elements have a real historical basis, but most of them, in their modern form, are created artificially. Nevertheless this fact does not detract from the importance of the cultural heritage of the Celts. Beginnings of the Czech educational system in the region German

IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE The diploma thesis describes the beginning of the Czech education system in a former district Německé Jablonné. The first part gives details about the district formation, territorial-administrative development and its decline in 1948. The second part focuses on the development of the Czech education system. Due to huge amount of data I have selected the most important moments, information and documents which happened between 1869 and 1945. This part also contains a chapter about the development of the education system from the border area followed by a short chapter about school chronicles. The third part lists all the schools which were opened between the First and the Second World War in Německé Jablonné district. The aim of the thesis is to describe the district itself as well as the development of the Czech education system during the time of its existence, focusing on the border area. The main aim was to find out what kind of schools were there, the number of students, school equipment, public events, trips, festivals and celebrations. The information was found in the school chronicles and other school documents, from the interviews with the local people and the teachers who have still been teaching at one of those schools. Czech and Moravian Christmas traditions

This dissertation is looking into the Czech and Moravian Christmas traditions in detail. The theoretical part provides a complete picture and characteristic of the Christmas period. The focus then turns to topics discussing the historical background, timelines, Christmas symbolic, sayings and mainly the Christmas traditions. The theory mostly draws on resources from expert literature, which is supplemented with information from other resources on the given topic. In the practical part, the author then analyzes the different ways of spending Christmas times in the Central Czech and South Moravian regions in depth. The course of the Christmas time was mapped by interviews with chosen respondents from contemporary Czech households. The adherence to or diversion from traditions, new trends and tendencies and the influence of commercialization on the Christmas holidays were given a higher importance. The closing chapter is dedicated to a comparison, whose main goal was to explain the eventual differences in adherence to Christmas traditions among sociocultural characteristics, mainly by the location.
Means of self-evaluation of elementary school "second level" pupils

Problematika sebehodnocení žáků se podle mého názoru stala v dnešní době - především v souvislosti se zavedením školních vzdělávacích programů - velice diskutovaných tématem, které řeší jak odborná veřejnost, tak samotní vyučující. Z toho důvodu jsem se ve své diplomové práci zaměřila na problematiku sebehodnocení žáků z pohledu vyučujících a hlavním cílem práce bylo přinést odpověď na otázku, jaké prostředky mohou vyučující na 2. stupni základních škol uplatňovat v rámci výchovněvzdělávacího procesu se záměrem rozvíjet sebehodnotící schopnosti žáků tak, aby byli sami schopni objektivně posoudit vlastní výkony a na základě těchto hodnotících soudů si klást splnitelné cíle. V teoretické části jsem vycházela ze základního předpokladu, že rozvoj sebehodnotících dovedností žáků je významně ovlivněn kvalitou hodnocení samotných vyučujících. Výklad byl proto věnován funkcím hodnocení, rozdělení typů hodnocení dle forem a dále jsem se zaměřila na ty aspekty hodnocení, které se podílejí na rozvoji sebehodnocení samotných žáků. Konkrétně se jednalo o problematiku výběru vhodné hodnotící metody, nastavení kritérií, jasnosti a srozumitelnosti hodnocení i kladení reálných a odpovídajících cílů. V závěrečné části jsem uvedla výčet sebehodnotících aktivit, které mohou být v rámci výchovně-vzdělávacího procesu využívány.
Motherhood - Combining work and family

Ce mémoire "La femme comme une mre - la coordination de la famille et du travail" traite le thme du fusionnement de la vie de famille et celle du travail des femmes - mres. Le mémoire contient cinq chapitres principales. D'abord, il se concentre sur l'explication de termes principaux gender et feminisme et esquisse le problme des inégalités de gender dans la société. Le chapitre suivant "La Famille" est centré non seulement sur le rôle de la famiile; les stéréotypes de gender au sein de la famille, mais aussi sur les changements l'intérieur de la famille qui se sont produitent au passé et qui se produisent actuellement. Il décrit le modle traditionnel de la famille qui fonctionnait pendant des sicles et les changements au sein de la famille qui s'imposent actuellement, surtout la réinvention du rôle des hommes comme des pres actifs qui participent l'éducation et au soin de leurs enfants ou au soin du ménage commun. Pour la réunion du travail et de la famille la femme cherche un point d'appui et de l'aide dans sa famille et surtout de la part de son partenaire.
