Development of display technology
Mudrich, Tomáš ; Reich, Pavel (oponent) ; Walek, Agata (vedoucí práce)
The aim of this semestral thesis is to provide a brief description of development of display technology from first displays to the latest technologies and technologies that will be used in the near future. This thesis describes characteristics of different types of displays, operating principle of used technologies and specifies their advantages and disadvantages.
Photovoltaic power plants and their design
Albrecht, Daniel ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Neuwirthová, Ludmila (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor thesis deals with photovoltaic power plants and their design. A significant part of the work focuses primarily on manufacturing technologies and the type and method of producing various types of photovoltaic cells; further the work focuses on basic components of photovoltaic power plants such as solar panels, batteries, controllers, inverters, transformers and optimizers. This thesis also includes a practical part, which deals with the power plant location conditions, factors influencing the power plants energy yield and a practical description of the construction and individual components. The practical part is completed by the comparison of two already existing power plants owned by GEEN Holding a.s., where the author describes, compares and evaluates their technological solution.
SYSTEMS OF AUTOMATION IN SMART BUILDINGS, DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A RELAY MODULE
Bendová, Petra ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Žouželková Bartošová, Marie (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on smart buildings and their automation. It is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the division of control and automated systems, thrift and low-voltage systems followed by smart buildings of the future. The practical part of the thesis deals with design of the relay module for the printed circuit board and its testing on breadboard.
Narrative in Computer Games
Musilová, Monika ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Ellederová, Eva (vedoucí práce)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with an issue of a narrative in computer games. In the introductory chapters, general games specifications, such as rules and genres of the games, are formulated. The main focus is then on linear and interactive forms of the narrative and on the means they are most frequently represented by. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of two selected games, focusing on the narrative means used and on the way they influence the game’s linearity and interactivity. For each game, a storyline scheme is created on whose basis a narrative structure of the game is determined.
Technologies for storing electrical energy in electric vehicles
Zdražil, Marek ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Langerová, Petra (vedoucí práce)
This bachelors thesis is focused on technologies used for storing electric energy in electric vehicles. The first chapter deals with history of technologies for electric energy storing and their use in early electric vehicles. It continues by description of electric vehicles that were occasionally produced through the 20th century, up to 1990s when this technology became attractive again. The following chapter describes types of electric cars and gives us examples of currently produced cars. The third part deals with technologies used in present and recent past. Subsequently, in the last chapter, there are introduced technologies which might be sufficient substitution to current systems or even to conventional combustion engines in future.
English-Czech Engineering Glossary: Translation, Analysis, Online Solution
Dvořáková, Dita ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Šedrlová, Magdalena (vedoucí práce)
My bachelor thesis deals with the English–Czech dictionary for subject HEFE (and also XAEI). Terms lexicography, dictionary and dictionary division, terms word and classes of words are explained in this thesis. The second section describes process of creation of dictionary. The procedure how the words were translated and sources, which were used to translations, are also described in the third part. An electronic solution to technical glossary is in the end of the thesis.
Specifications of swithced DC/DC convertors used for automotive applications. Parameters of suitable MOSFETs, option fo partials damping of their switching operation
Langer, Lukáš ; Froehling, Kenneth (oponent) ; Walek, Agata (vedoucí práce)
The main topic of this bachelor thesis is an introduction to the usage of a new device for automotive lights, mainly LED lights. The thesis is focused on the usage of LED lights, their circuits and drivers. Furthermore, the thesis is aimed at power MOSFETs suitable for LED drivers, their parameters and their effect on the circuits. In the thesis will be included also a description of the measurement of given circuits with following comments on the output as well as the comment on the measurement itself. The goal of the thesis is not in technical details, but it is in a usage of English language used for more general description of principles and measurement processes.
Calculation of heat losses of a building and a design of a convenient heating system
Popelka, Stanislav ; Walek, Agata (oponent) ; Mikulka, Jan (vedoucí práce)
Heat losses of buildings are a determining factor for the overall energy consumption when heating the buildings. Since construction and insulation materials are being constantly innovated, both the heat losses and heat sources remain a highly relevant topic. This semester thesis briefly introduces the reader to the most widely used heat sources – a boiler and a heat pump. This is followed by the evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of these heat sources.
