Media education - incorporation into language education and teaching materials for teachers of English

Messages delivered by the media are often used as a source of authentic texts in language teaching, yet there is not a sufficient amount of works dealing with the connection between media education and language teaching. The theoretical part of this thesis, therefore, tries to describe this relationship from the perspective of media studies, linguistics and language teaching methodology. The aim of this work is to create teaching materials incorporating media education into teaching English as a foreign language. The materials consist of worksheets for students and methodological support for teachers. Gifted pupil in contemporary school

Key words: gift, talent, education of gifted children, teaching methods and forms of working oganization This graduation theses is focused on gifted children and their signs. The theoretical part contains legislature relevant to educating of gifted children in the Czech Republic and various options of the optimalisation of educating process for gifted pupils. It also focus on different methods of recognising gifted children, educating them in school, options of educating and its problems, it deals with the formes of organisation of the teaching methods and basic approaches to educating of gifted pupils. The experimental part of this work is divided into two parts. The first one shows the pupils' oppinion about education, who visit the school for gifted children, the second one contents interview with teachers and examples of the good work with educating children.

Jitka Vodáková, CSc ABSTRACT: The goal of the bachelor thesis is to find out influence of selected practice activities on development of soft motoric and grafhomotoric by people with mental retardation and people with poliomyelitis. Theoretical part introduces readers to selected kinds of disabilities, their causes and manifestations. The bachelor thesis describes development of soft motoric and grafhomotoric and their development through practice activities, specifics of personality with mental retardation and their importance for vocational education and occupational therapy. Practical part describes to readers progress of research and evaluation of basic group and case study, control test evaluation and if these selected practice activities have any influence on development of soft motoric. Conception of theatre performed by children in extracurricular activity

The bachelor thesis covers with the theatre performed by children. The objectives are to determine whether a child should perform in front of audience and what influence such performance has on these children. The thesis compares different opinions of children's performance in front of audience and comes to the general conception of theatre performed by children. It monitors opinions of the actors - the children, their parents and the adults working with the children. Part of this thesis is a script of a theatre play performed by 3rd grade children.
