Pícha, Tomáš ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This Thesis deals with the social problems of city Most and how they are perceived and evaluated by its young population. Under influence of historical events the city has a very specific composition of the population and it has long been faced with many problems that are inherently social, economic, environmental and other. The Thesis presents the view of pupils and students of Most's schools on these problems and it analyzes which problems students consider as urgency, how they evaluate the living conditions in Most and what is their relationship to the city. The Thesis is supported by own SAQ survey conducted on a sample of approximately 600 students from different types of schools that provides answers to most of the research questions. Given that the Romany question intensively rezonates between young denizens of Most, the survey has been extended to gypsies living in one of Most's Romany localities - well-known settlement Chanov. This enabled the comparison of respondents' opinions (mostly from the rank of the majority) with views of young gypsies. Thus the overall output is consisted of a description of the current situation of the city and its problems, perception of these problems by its young population (majority in comparison with relatively numerous minority of gypsies) and outline of...

Schubert, Jan ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Úlovcová, Helena (referee)
Level of employment of secondary school graduates on the labour market of Liberec region The diploma thesis "Level of employment of secondary school graduates on the labour market of Liberec region" focuses on tree major factors influencing the level of employment of graduates. First is the role of vocational education in the educational system. The thesis tests two hypotheses. First considers vocational education to be superior to general education since graduates learn great deal of hard skills, which they can directly apply while applying for a job. Second hypotheses considers vocational education to be inferior to general education since what the graduates learn during their study does not reflect the needs of employers and they thus prefer the information about the level of education (general education). Second major factor this diploma thesis deals with is the role of social networks in finding first job. The thesis analyses the effectiveness of the social networks on the site of graduates and also on the site of employers. Third factor is the dynamics of the early working stage of graduates and the influence of social and economical forces on regional labour market. The thesis analyses data on the dynamics of employment of graduates in the Czech Republic and especially in the Liberec region.
The Future of The Excluded Locality Janov
Kolářová, Šárka ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Kaplánek, Michal (referee)
I have called the bachelor work "The Future of the Excluded Locality Janov". The aim of my work is to describe problems concerning the excluded locality Janov. Crime prevention is especially important with focus on children and teenagers. In my work I used the method of observation and interviews. I watched behavior of children during educational activities in low-threshold (social) facilities. Both methods enabled me to see insight into the excluded locality and I had the possibility of comparison with that what is written in scholarly books. My work consists of ten chapters, including introduction. The theoretical part is devoted to explaining the concepts of social exclusion. I describe Romany history and contemporary life of Romany families in Czech culture. I explain the concept of prevention and describe activities of the social center Jaklík. The practical part is a reflection of activity in the field of crime prevention in Janov. The evaluation is based on interviews. In the tenth chapter, entitled The Future of Excluded Locality Janov I focused on the possibilities that are available based on a summary of the information gathered. In my work, I worked with specialized literature focused on work with Romany youth, the community and the existence of the Romany in the Czech Republic. Powered by TCPDF...

The link between work conditions and subjective health in the Czech Republic
Krátká, Tereza ; Hamplová, Dana (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
The relationship between health and working conditions represents an important topic of sociologic research. Still, in the Czech context this theme has not been sufficiently dealt with. This work's aim is to contribute to the research in the branch, to offer a detail study of the relationship between subjective health and working conditions. Firstly, the theoretical part of the text offers definitions of the concepts subjective health and working conditions. Secondly, there are defined three hypotheses about the relationship between the categories subjective health and working conditions. Then, the hypotheses are tested using contingency tables and regression analysis. Afterwards, there is offered a comparison between the study's conclusions and outputs of similar foreign works. The results of the analysis correspond with those reached in foreign context - in comparison with unemployed, economically active people feel them healthier. Using the regression model, significant influence of education on this relationship was proved. Other testing brought a conclusion that people working in difficult conditions evaluate their health worse than people who do not have to cope with hard working conditions. There was not proved a significant difference between men and women in evaluation of subjective health...

SUMARRY The focus of this dissertation is the return to work of women after parental leave. The paper explores the topic of maternity and parental leave and care required by pre-school children. The question of the effectiveness of public service
Rücklová, Eva ; Vláčil, Jan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
V předkládané diplomové práci se budeme zabývat problematikou efektivnosti veřejné služby. Fenomén veřejné služby a její výkon patří k aktuálním tématům společenských věd a společnosti jako celku. Zájem o veřejnou službu je spojen s úlohou moderního státu v dnešní společnosti. Současné hodnocení státu vychází z jeho převažující tendence k nedostatečné reflexi dané společenské situace a požadavků dnešních občanů. Je proto patrná snaha přizpůsobit státní správu a samosprávu aktuálním společenským podmínkám a najít nové nástroje zvyšování efektivnosti veřejné služby. Sociologický pohled a teorie řízení řeší tuto otázku z hlediska svých teorií a přístupů k byrokratickým organizacím. Sociologie organizace a řízení přispěla svými teoriemi ke zkoumání efektivnosti veřejné služby.

The side effect is to provide the results of the conducted applied research to the management of participating organizations for practical purposes. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. Theoretical background characterizes basic concepts; health promotion and long-term care. The central theoretical and methodological tools used in the applied research are then described: socio-psychological concept well-being and model Effort Reward Imbalance (ERI). The model, which was introduced by contemporary German sociologist J. Siegrist, presents a key resource of mapping stress in the workplace. The empirical part of the dissertation describes the research that was conducted in two parts during 2012 - 2014. In the first part held in form of focus...
Ľubochňanci and work abroad
Huml, Tomáš ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Grznár, Miroslav (referee)
My bachelor thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of nine interviews with young people from Luboch a who have been or still are working abroad. I am trying to find out from their experiences what reasons make them leave their home in Slovakia and start working in another country. In the theoretical part, I broadly describe the problem of labour migration of people form Slovakia and I characterize the village that my respondents come from. In the analytical part, I describe their reasons to leave, I concentrate on the countries they choose as their destinations and on their relationship to their home village, Luboch a. I also focus on their experience with working abroad and their view on other migrant workers from Slovakia. Based on the enunciations of the respondents, I conclude that the decision to leave Luboch a is mostly influenced by the economic factors, such as a lack of work opportunities on the local labour market and insufficient financial compensation for the labour. But these factors are not the only reasons for the decision to leave. The decision is also influenced by many other reasons that make them leave their home and the commitments they leave behind. I have tried to describe all these different circumstances in the thesis as well.
