Teachers' Perceptions in Education Provision for Deaf Students in the Czech Republic

This study examines education provision of deaf students in the Czech Republic. Since inclusion has captured the educational space in most countries, it was imperative to point out opportunities and challenges regarding international trends currently advocated these days. The study uses case study qualitative approach for data generation interests. Due to the nature of this approach, purposive sampling was used to generate data from mainstream and specialist teachers in selected schools. Literature reviewed in this study gives a blend of knowledge and arguments regarding education provision for deaf students. It helps to add existing knowledge that will shape thinking of parents, teachers, students, governments and Organizations. Through systematic analysis, nine themes have emerged as findings. These themes are staffing and level of participation, deaf identity, policy and practice, dependency on special schools, little contact between special and mainstream schools, sign language, bilingual versus oral approach, lack of consistency, teachers' resourcefulness and contradicting misconceptions. The themes provided a basis for discussion and provide code of practice regarding education of deaf students. Sibling's rivalry and its influence in success at elementary school

In its theoretical part, the thesis "Sibling rivalry as reflected in primary school success" provils a description of the primary school pupil and definitions of sibling rivalry and scholastic success. Further attention in giwen to parenting practices which foster sibling rivalry. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to decode the tokens of sibling rivalry and to covvelate it with scholastic success in the kontext of parent - pupiů - teacher relationships. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed and thein results compared. The results of this thesis can serve as the basis for further research and be used by parents to better understand thein children's interactions.
Methodics inclusion of pupils with different maternal language

This diploma thesis focuses on integration of pupils with different maternal language to Czech primary schools. It concludes legislation of integration of foreign pupils in the Czech Republic. It suggests methodology and activities that can help foreign pupils to integrate to Czech school environment. It describes unsuccessful proces of integration as well. Practical part of this thesis is a case study that describes conception of integration in concrete primary school. Possibility of Using Method Persona Dolls in Primary School

The thesis devotes to innovative approaches at the elementary school level and is focused on an education method designed to counter prejudice Persona Dolls. The thesis describes theoretical foundations of the above mentioned method and its contribution to the developmentof students'key competences focused on the communicative competence.The theoretical part of the thesis futher discusses the possible uses of the method Persona Dolls in achieving education goals according to the Framework curriculum, especially focusing on cross-sectional topics. The research part is devoted to investigation of teachers'experience with this method. The author finds out how often and in what ways a particular teacher involves the method of Persona Dolls in his teaching. Primarily, the research investigates the rate of interconnection between the content of cross-sectional topics and topics of this method lessons with relation to ways of planning Persona Dolls lesson by individual teachers. A partial research objective is to evaluate the development of students'communicative competence while using Persona Dolls method. Forms of Family and School Cooperation at the Beginning of School Attandance

This thesis focuses on forms of cooperation between family and school at the beginning of school attendance. The theoretical part defines family and school as educational institutions and traces the development of cooperation between these institutions. It shows current trends in cooperation between family and school using the elements of a strategy of innovative educational program Step by Step and project Parents welcome. It refers to the elements that affect mutual relations. At the beginning of the empirical part is first described the methodology of qualitative research. The main techniques used were observation, questioning and interviews with teaching staff and the parents of pupils at two schools - at the average primary school and at the school using the program Start together, which received a certificate Parents welcome. Partner reality was analyzed on the basis of a document Competent teacher of the 21st century: An international professional quality framework ISSA. The research identified the actual situation in each school, its benefits and weaknesses. Historical development of the Loděnice school in the context of its region

The aim of this thesis is to show evidence and map a continuous educational development in the town of Loděnice in the Beroun region, where it is situated. The primary resources the author works with are school chronicles kept in the State regional archive in Beroun and school funds in Loděnice. The thesis has got a historical character, the author therefore uses work with sources, historical-comparative method, analysis, synthesis and interview. The thesis shows a specific period of this school, i.e. its development in 1782-1945. The author using the archive resources documents the educational development in Loděnice town in respect to the specified criteria. Furthermore, she maps the region of Beroun, its agricultural and industrial development. She highlights what influence the development in these areas had on education. Soňa Mikolášková ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is based on archival sources and literature to capture the most complete picture of the historical development of constitutional fundamental schools, including the pedagogical approach and the ideas of its founder Prof. Francis Hamza MD, the curriculum, the teaching and the specifics of this school. This school was the First Constitutional Elementary School in Central Europe. It only later began to emerge at other schools, hospitals and other medical facilities. And today, the school performs particularly, education and the educational function, which has a significant positive impact on the healing process of the child, because her thoughts move away from illness, pain, fear and are helped to overcome the sadness of separation from the family. Changes in the Realtionship between Teacher and Pupil in the historical Context

The goal of diploma thesis is to follow and capture the changes in the relationship of the central characters of schools, i.e. the teacher and the student. This change is however closely related to the time context and the development of school as an institution. Current pedagogic trends, the church and political circumstances also play a role. I will monitor the change of the relationship between the teacher and the student approximately from the second half of the 15th century until today. This work has a character of a historical study and thus I will use mostly the historic and historic comparative method. Therefore, it will not contain a practical part, but will include only the theoretical one. The necessary information will be taken from historical and contemporary literature.
Integration of a child with Asperger syndrom in primary school

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive data of schooling issues and integration of children with the Asperger syndrome in the public schools. I would like to bring out my own experience while working with these children. I have mapped the teachers' opinion of the pupils' integration and I have ensembled this data with an expert's opinion, too. My thesis is divided into two basic parts: the theoretical and empirical part. I am going to describe the issues thereof and I am going to result from the curent movement of the integration. The empirical part consists of first, the interview with an expert, second, the public schools teachers' questionnaire and lastly, the casuistry of a boy I have worked with.The used methods in the practical part are mainly the interview and the questionnaire.
