EU Energy Policy and Its Contribution to Energy Networks Stability
Doležal, Milan ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Machytka, Daniel (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with EU energy policy and its potential to ensure a stability and security of energy networks. Key content of this thesis is a position analysis of EU's energy resources -- oil, natural gas and electricity in connection with EU's energy mix. These figures are compared with existing and proposed European energy infrastructure and with activities of EU in Trans-European energy networks, internal energy market and external dimension of energy policy. On the basis of the collected information there are evaluated particular potentials and tools of EU which can ensure the stability and security of energy networks.
ACTUAL INTERPRETATION OF DRAMA THROUGH DRAMATIC SITUATION AND SPECIFIC STAGE REALIZATION
Tyc, Mikoláš ; Schejbal, Milan (advisor) ; Hrbek, Daniel (referee)
The work is focused mainly on the problems of interpretation and subsequent stage realization. Based partly on staging of one part of Three sisters by A. P. Chekhov but mainly on the staging of drama ?Kasimir und Karoline? by Ödön von Horvath Mikolas Tyc describes some problems the performers had to deal with when they decided to stage Horvath's play as their final school theatre performance. First of all Mikolas Tyc tries to look for the borders of interpretation in general. Then he focuses on the process of interpretation of ?Kasimir und Karoline?, which started with analyzing the specific situations, characters and irony of Horvath. And Mikolas Tyc also describes the endeavour of finding the main topic of his look on Horvath`s play ? these topics are discussed in the third and fourth chapter. The fifth chapter is focused on the specific meanings of the final performance that are brought on stage not only by actors, but also by stage design. He also describes from the director?s point of view the process of rehearsals, including a trip on Oktoberfest. The progress some actors did in the specific genre of Horvath?s drama as well as description of first sketches and the final stage appearance of both stagings is also described here. The last chapter is a conclusion where Mikolas Tyc looks for the good and the bad in his performance in terms of becoming a professional theatre director.
Morphisms of Dempster's Semigroup: A Revision and Interpretation
Daniel, Milan
Analyzing three new approaches to interpretation, definition, and measurement of conflicts of belief Functions (BFs), we previously observed a possibility of expression of a BF Bel as Dempster's sum of non-conflicting BF Bel0 with the same plausibility decisional support as the original BF Bel has and of indecisive BF BelS which does not prefer any of the elements of frame of discernment. Based on this observation, the theory of homomorphisms of Dempster's semigroup (the algebra of non-extremal BFs on 2-element frame of discernment with Dempster's rule as its binary operation) is updated in the present contribution. New homomorphisms are introduced; their interpretation and relation to the original ones are presented.
The study of the relationship between average realized stock returns and the risk of stock investment
Řípa, Daniel ; Bašta, Milan (advisor) ; Cícha, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of average return rates of stock investments and assessment of their risk. The aim of this work is a comparison of two alternative approaches of risk measurement. Twenty years long time series of 30 stocks' returns from 1991 to 2010 are first used to analyze a relationship between average realized returns and standard deviations of the returns. Variety of computational algorithms is used in attempt to generalize this relationship. Analysis of the full length time series does not seem to discover a significant mutual relationship in the analyzed dataset. However, by analogically employing the algorithm of the CAPM analysis a significant and positive linear relationship between standard deviations and realized returns was found. Furthermore, two-step regression algorithm introduced by Fama & MacBeth is used to test the validity of CAPM model. This method led to the conclusion that CAPM cannot be rejected within the analyzed dataset. Moreover, strong positive linear relationship was found between the estimates of standard deviation and beta coefficients, which may be explained by the lack of variability in correlation between individual assets' and market portfolio's returns.
Analysis of internet marketing tools with the focus on czech companies
Černý, Daniel ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Průša, Přemysl (referee)
The first part represents an overiew of basic marketing terms and concepts with the emphasis on marketing communications and current marketing trends. The main topic of this bachelor thesis, internet marketing and its tools, gets an in-depth analysis in the second chapter, followed by relevant statistics concerning the use of internet in the Czech Republic. These two parts form a theoretical background for the actual research which compares the attitudes towards internet marketing within a group of different companies from different industries. The authors draws universal conclusions on modern era marketing, as well as particular recommendations for each company.
New Approach to Conflicts within and between Belief Functions
Daniel, Milan
This study deals with conflicts of belief functions. Internal conflicts of belief functions and conflicts between belief functions are described and analyzed here. Differences of belief functions are distinguished from conflicts between them. Three new different approaches to conflicts are presented: combinational, plausibility and comparative. The presented approaches to conflicts are compared to Liu's interpretation of conflicts.
