Interventions of assistant teacher in the proces of inclusive education in primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the work of teaching assistant working with pupils with disabilities at the common primary school. Within the framework of the inclusive education the number of pupils with disabilities is increasing and in the result increase also the teaching assistent in the primary school. Work with teaching assistant is in the beginning for many schools but there are still various problems. This topic is relevant today and it is discussed in both academic field and general public. The aim of this diploma thesis is to define the work of the teaching assistants at the primary school and the partial aim is to find out how the teaching assistants perceive their profession or what they would change. To meet these goals, qualitative research methods were used, especially semi-structured interviews together with the information from the respondent's demographic survey. The interviews were processed using note- based coding and for obtained data analytical induction was used. The result of the research is an overview of the activities of the assistant teacher and teamwork of teachers and other professional staff. Problematic behavior of pupils with autism and moderate mental retardation

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of problematic behaviour of pupils with autism and medium mental retardation in an educational process. The main aim of this work is to learn about and describe teaching staff's experience with the occurrence and ways of handling problematic behaviour of these pupils. The theoretical part describes the basic terms related to autism, mental retardation and it also outlines a historical context of autism, etilogy, its classification and characteristic symptoms. The thesis also focuses on the diagnostic process in the psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, an overview of basic obligatory diagnostic tools is provided. It deals with the legislative framework of the education of pupils with autism and medium mental retardation, it describes the most common educational methods and therapeutic approaches in special schools. Next chapter defines the term problematic behaviour, outlines the diagnostic evaluations and some specific approaches to correcting such behaviour. Selected aspects of education of mentally disabled pupils in practical school

The diploma thesis deals with selected aspects of education of individuals with special educational needs - pupils with mental disabilities. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an insight into the life of individuals with mental disabilities, describes problems of the target group from the viewpoint of special pedagogy and from the school's viewpoint. Practical part of the diploma thesis provides an insight into a selected school, to show the positives and the problems through the participants in education - pupils with mental disabilities, teachers and parents. The aim of the research is to characterize problems and situations, and to describe the pitfalls of pupils' education in the selected practical school. In order to achieve the goal, it is necessary to collect information about the education proces in the chosen school, to show the pupils' lives and their problems. Then we can make recommendations on improving pupils' support, including the school environment. The diploma thesis is also intended to support students interested in the education in the school - parents and pupils. In the diploma thesis, the methodology of mixed design was used. Comparison of early childhood education of children with intellectual disabilities in the Czech Republic and the USA

The thesis is focused on the comparison of the early childhood education of children with intellectual disabilities in the Czech Republic and the USA. In the introductory chapters, there is discussed an early education, the problem of children with intellectual disabilities and the family of a disabled child. The comparison is preceded by an analysis of early childhood education systems for children with disabilities in both countries. An analysis of early childhood education in the United States has revealed facts that have a significant impact on the choice of areas of comparison (a significant part of education regulation is under regulations of individual states), but also on the achievement of the goal of the thesis (children with intellectual disabilities are, in most cases, included in the category "developmental delay" together with children with a different types of disabilities, and therefore the comparison only by the category "intellectual disability" would not have a meaningful value). For this reason, the subject of comparison is extended to the early childhood education of children with disabilities. Case study of siblings with mental disabilities in foster care

The bachelor thesis captures the life of two siblings who were taken from the children's home and placed in foster care. They were subsequently diagnosed with mental retardation, namely moderate mental retardation. The bachelor thesis focuses on the description of intellectual disability, its classification, aetiology, typical signs and manifestations of mental retardation. It also describes the possibilities of education and employment of people with intellectual disabilities. It also focuses on types of alternative family care, where it specifically emphases on foster care, including legislation that is closely related to this topic and the history of alternative family care. The second part of the thesis describes the life of siblings in foster care through interviews with foster parents and siblings themselves. This shows the everyday life of this family, the everyday pitfalls and obstacles they have to face, and the problems they have to deal with. The foster parents describe the periods when they decided for foster care, then they talk about the path of children through the school education system, and about their prospects and plans for the future. This diploma tesis describes education students with different motherly language in the Czech Republic. On a theoretical level, it explains more common concepts of migration, as well as concepts related to the education of foreign students. It also introduces the number of foreign students attending Czech primary schools and primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes the school legislation concerning education students with different motherly language, financing possibilities of the Czech language courses, and also presents with non-governmental non-profit organizations active in this field. On the practical level, the thesis focuses on different systems of education of students with a different motherly language in three primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes how individual schools organize teaching of Czech as a second language, which support measures in the education of students with a different motherly language they provide, what special study materials they use and what extra services they offer to these students. The thesis deals with the role played by the teacher in the education of pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion. The aim of the thesis is to understand the relationship between elementary school and the education of pupils with special educational needs. The author wants to find out how teachers cope with the requirements of inclusive education in their day-to-day practice. Another issue is whether pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion have access to institutionalized help and what role play teachers in accessing this assistance. The author proceeds through qualitative research. The theoretical basis for research work is the concept of social exclusion and the concept of teacher role in the level of expectation, concept and performance. The thesis presents a legislative framework which formulates the state's current expectations towards schools in the education of pupils with specific educational needs. This thesis focuses on the relation of a Roma pupil and a school from the point of view of a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is divided into four subtopics. The first subtopic is dedicated to the Roma in Czech society, their differentiation, the social situation of the Roma, the relation between the majority and the minority, and especially the conflicts between the majority and the minority. The second theme deals with the Roma family, how it looked in the past and what it is today. It also focuses on the education of children by gender and the family's influence on the child's success in school. The third theme deals with the education of the Roma and especially with pre-school, primary and secondary education. The fourth theme describes communication with Roma parents.
