The Russian literature in series "World Literature" of the Czech publishing house Odeon (between 1955-1970) and the translational analysis of Anna Nováková's translation of Youri Olesha's novel Jealousy

Tématem mé diplomové práce je ediční politika nakladatelství Odeon, a to se zaměřením na vydávání ruské literatury v edici Světová četba. Cílem této práce je doplnění a upřesnění některých informací o ediční praxi tohoto našeho nejvýznamnějšího nakladatelského domu předlistopadové éry v oblasti vydávání překladové literatury. Translatologický rozbor jednoho z děl poslouží jako ukázka úrovně překladů zařazených do této edice. Diplomová práce je tedy strukturována do dvou částí. V první části, která má historicko-empirický charakter, se zabývám rusistickou produkcí zmíněného nakladatelství v edici Světová četba v období let 1955-1970, které v souvislosti s uvolněním kulturní politiky v šedesátých letech u nás může být v oblasti překladové tvorby považováno za nejpřínosnější a stále do jisté míry inspirativní. Druhá část má charakter spíše kriticko-empirický a je věnována translatologické analýze románu Jurije Oleši Závist v překladu Anny Novákové, jejíž osobnost je také pojítkem obou částí diplomové práce. Male teachers' professional identity and motivation in the context of feminisation of the teaching profession

This bachelor thesis focuses on professional identity and motivation of male teachers in the context of feminization of the teaching profession, specifically in the sector of pre-primary education. The main aim of the thesis is to explore issues related to the position of a male teacher in pre-primary education in the context of the Czech educational environment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part introduces issues of professional identity and motivation in relation to the teaching profession. The author also discusses the teaching profession, pre-primary education, and particularly the representation of male teachers in the pre-primary sector in the Czech Republic as well as in other European countries. The emphasis is on the discussion of the most significant challenges of male teachers, as they have been identified in international research. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research conducted using a method of Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). The data were collected via semi- structured interviews with three male teachers. The findings of the IPA analysis consist of six themes identified across all three interviews. Familly in material need

The bachelor thesis on "Family in Material Need" deals with the problems that faced families in the system of material need. The thesis contains a description of the system of material need including an explanation of whom and for what benefits are used. It also focuses on the issue of families in material need, where focuses more on families in danger with material need - a single parent family, a family with an unemployed family member and a family of a child with a health disadvantage. In the practical part of the thesis there are four real cases of families that receive benefits in material need with description of their situation and the problems that they face.

Title: Sponsorship system and proposals for utilisation of sponsored athletes in marketing communication of General Sport company Objectives: The main target of this diploma work is to create proposals for better utilisation of sponsored athletes in marketing communication that will be created on the basis of an overall analysis of General Sport Ltd. sponsorship issue. The proposals will be supported on the internal information and the company's datas and so they will be better implemented in practice. Methods: In this work there was mainly used a written and oral survey method. To evaluate the overall relation to the sponsorship and the utilisation of sponsored subjects there was also used a method of an in-depth interview that helped to gain greater inoformation. Basic facts about the company were being detected during the personal interviews with the company's executive directors. Combining these two methods of questioning was chosen for its additional character and greater gaining information. Results: The results of the entire work, based on both the information received from the sponsor and the information from the sponsored sides, show that the GS sponsorship system is insufficiently sophisticated. Title: Marketing research of the Nike brand value among the top and professional athletes Goals: The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to find out more about the top and professional athletes awareness of the Nike brand in the Czech Republic. The Marketing research was performed through a questionnaire. An integral part of the thesis is to reveal athlete's relationship to the brand, their related associations, to evaluate Nike products as well as the Nike position towards the other competitive brands on the sports market. Methods: The practical part of this thesis, i.e. the marketing research, was conducted via written questionnaire, results of which were supplemented with information coming from the personal interviews. Such a combination of two methods was selected in order to provide an additional and more accurate information. The personal interviews allowed to answer not only questions like "what", but especially "why". Results: Results of the research will be used to evaluate as well as to formulate recommendations for the Nike brand. The practical part contains results descriptions and graphical presentations. Relative age dating of moraines in selected High Tatras valleys

The submitted diploma thesis deals with relative dating of the youngest glacigenic sediments (moraines) in the upper parts of some selected valleys in the High Tatra Mountains. These moraines were stabilized after the last cold events of the last glaciation cycle. The Schmidt hammer (SH) test was used for the assessment of their relative age. This method is based on the assumption that there is a mutual relation between the degree of weathering of a tested surface and the duration of its exposure. Information about the degree of weathering is expressed by the Rebound (R) value. The measurements were taken on fifteen moraines in four valleys in the High Tatra Mountains (Mengusovská, Velká Studená, Malá Studená and Litvorova valley). A large statistical population of measurements obtained from moraine surfaces were used to analyse the variability of R values means in the same lithology. The moraines were divided on the base of SH measurements into two groups of different age. R value means and standard deviation for these groups (SK_1: R=53,5±1,2 a SK_2: R=58,6±1,5) are significantly statistically different. IN QUEST OF FREEDOM. REINALDO ARENAS AND HIS NOVEL THE DOORMAN Abstract The subject of this thesis is to analyse the novel The Doorman (El portero) by Cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas and to situate it in the context of the author's life. This work focuses on the part of life of Arenas which he spent exiled in the United States of America. When writing the novel The Doorman, Arenas draws from his own experiences and observations of phenomena in the North American society. At the same time, in this novel appears the motif of seeking freedom and also the theme of escape from the environment of oppression, which are very characteristic themes of Arenas.
