Obesity in Patiens with Psoriasis as a Risk Factor of Ischemic Heart Disease

Psoriasis is a chronic, systemic, inflammatory skin disease. There is a significant risk of many comorbidities in psoriatic patients, the most prominent of these being Metabolic Syndrome (obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipoproteinemia). Metabolic Syndrome contributes to increased mortality and morbidity rate, owing to cardiovascular diseases in particular. Psoriasis itself is another contributing factor. In comparison with normal population, the mortality rate in patients with severe psoriasis is two times higher. Psoriasis and some of its comorbidities have the same pathophysiology. The same cytokines, such as TNF-alpha and inflammatory cells are involved. Integrated approach in therapy focused on the underlying inflammation may reduce the cardiovascular risk in obese patients with psoriasis. An important step in the care of patients with this combination of ailments is the prevention of ischemic heart disease, as the risk of it is higher in them. Apart from general recommendations, one can apply specific approaches. An example of these is the treatment of obesity-induced inflammation, secondary prevention of psoriasis, anti-inflammatory systemic therapy and biological therapy.

Easements with respect to New Civil Code provisions

Easements with respect to New Civil Code provisions Abstract In this thesis, I concentrate on the institute of easements, which are rights to use the real property of another. I study easements from both the theoretical perspective, with respect to their position in the legal system, legal relations and their corresponding implications and the function they fulfill; and the practical perspective, elaborating on their establishment, changes, termination, recordkeeping and protection of the rights they imply. I consistently strive to map all the legislation related to easements, and present the changes that will affect the legal code of the Czech Republic with regards to the ongoing re-codification of private law. These changes affect the context of current legislation related to easements and its interpretation, consisting mainly of court rulings. In the new Civil Code which will come into force at the start of 2014, as opposed to the current Civil Code, legislation related to easements is approached from a very wide perspective, almost casuistically. However, at the time of this thesis's completion, related regulations necessary for proper application of the new Civil Code have not yet been approved.

Standardized brand measuring systems existing in the Czech market

Výkonnost současných ekonomik, zejména pak tendence směřující k jednomu velkému globálnímu hospodářství, nás postavila před možnosti široké spotřební volby. Každý den se setkáváme s velkým množstvím výrobků a služeb při zajišťování našich potřeb. Nadto technologický vývoj, který vůbec umožnil globalizaci, způsobil kvalitativní přibližování produktů. Technologická homogenizace tak vládne dnešnímu konzumerismu. Je stále těžší najít konkurenční výhodu ve změti vzájemně si podobných výrobků a služeb, nejobtížnější pak je tuto přednost ochránit před konkurencí. Má se za to, že tím co poskytuje trvalý náskok, je silná značka. Silná značka může být budována a zachována pouze kontinuální a systematickou prací, která by měla vycházet z empirických dat. Výzkum značky umožňuje změřit její sílu neboli zdraví, identifikovat silné a slabé stránky značky, vymezit věrné zákazníky, popsat vnímání značky spotřebiteli a jejich vztah ke značce, mnohdy umí také předpovědět potenciál růstu tržního podílu značky. Průzkum značky je tedy užitečnou pomůckou v procesu jejího řízení. Pro výzkum značky se často využívají standardizované systémy měření značek, kterými se zabývá tato práce. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal, Ph.D. Background: We studied the expression of P-selectin in brachiocephalic artery in the apoE−/− /LDLr−/− deficient mice, which were fed with the low carbohydrate, high protein diet. Methods: For this study we used the female apoE−/− /LDLr−/− deficient mice, which were divided into two groups, 6 mice in each group. Control mice were fed with AIN-93G diet (control group) and the second group was fed by low carbohydrate, high protein diet for 8 weeks. Immunohistochemical analysis was performed in tissue sections of brachiocephalic artery by avidin-biotin complex method with DAB detection. Results: Biochemical analysis revealed significantly increased levels of total cholesterol after feeding with low carbohydrate, high protein diet. Immunohistochemical analysis detected P- selectin expression only in endothelial cells, with more intensity in endothelial cells covering atherosclerotic plaques in both groups apoE−/− /LDLr−/− deficient mice. This thesis should describe a legal relationship between New Religious Movements and Czech legal order. This thesis focuses on the topic while studying public and private law's aspects. It also focuses on sociological considerations. New Religious Movements are a necessary part of a religious development of every society. There is a lot of different religious movements. Therefore, it is especially challenging to make legislation related to them. The legislator should consider religion a private part of everyone's life. Act No. 3/2002 Coll., which is the most important piece of legislation for New Religious Movements, does not distinguish terminologically between New Religious Movements and the traditional churches. This methodology is intended mainly for environmental agencies and other land managers, such as regional authorities and owners that are due to prevent and manage the introduction and spread of invasive alien species. The manual provides instructions for planning and realisation of IAS control project. In manual are described particular steps form the pre-project phase (planning and status quo) to the targets and their evaluation. In particular, there are described factors influencing the targets statement, subsequent control targets and their evaluation using indicators. The indicators show the level of the targets fulfil. Evaluation of whole project depends on targets fulfil a serve for the control project effectivity evaluation.

The Social Status of Women in the Indonesian Society

In this bachelor thesis "The Social Status of Women in the Indonesian Society" I deal with the social status of women in the Indonesian society with the main focus on Indonesian women's organisations and movements and their impact on the future of women living in the Indonesian archipelago. The first chapter deals with the historical evolution of women's social status from prehistoric times to modern times and with the position of women towards men, the second chapter briefly defines feminism, its division into three waves and the female roles development according to the French philosopher Gilles Lipovestky. The third chapter is focused on women's movements in Indonesia, their origin, development, demonstrations and imporant Indonesian women and national heroines, who have contributed to many reforms in the area of women's rights and gender equality. The practical part is divided into two parts, the first part is about field research, which is focused on selected women's movements and organisations operating in Yogyakarta, which are Feminis Yogya, Rifka Annisa and Indonesia Tanpa Feminis.
