Mgr. Barbora Pašková The study of antimycotic activity of newly synthetized substances Rigorous thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Study program: Pharmacy Background: The aim of this rigorous thesis was to evaluace the antimycotic activity of 77 substances prepared at the Department of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové of Charles University in Prague. Method: The substances were tested by the microdilution broth method and all substances were tested at eight strains of yeasts and filamentous fungi. The tested substances were divided into five groups according to their chemical structure to salicylanilide carbamates, sulfoneamide ureas - derivates of sulphamethoxazole, sulphonamide imidazolidinetriones - derivates of sulphamethoxazole, derivates of isoniazide and substances with disunited structure. Results: The highest antimycotic activity was discovered in group of salicylanilide carbamates. There were tested 28 derivates of this group, from which 18 of them showed antimycotic activity. On the other hand, substances from group of derivates of isoniazide showed no antimycotic activity. The most susceptible strain was Trichophyton mentagrophytes and the most resistant was strain Aspergillus fumigatus. Conclusions: To...

Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradci Králové Department of: Pharmaceutical Technology Candidate PharmDr. Sylva Klovrzová Supervisor doc. PharmDr. Zdeňka Šklubalová, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Formulation of extemporaneous paediatric liquid preparations in the hospital pharmacy In the paediatric population, oral solutions and/or suspensions represent a suitable alternative to preparation of hard capsules in the pharmacy. This thesis aims at formulation of stable liquid oral preparations with cardiologic drugs, propranol- hydrochloride, sotalol-hydrochloride and furosemide, for the children aged from newborn to approximately 6 year. At the formulation of the preparation compositions, the simple routine preparation in a pharmacy was the main target as well as the use of excipients safe for paediatric population in the minimal necessary amount. Using a high performance liquid chromatography, chemical stability of the active ingredient and, simultaneously, the preservative was determined in all formulated preparations stored at two different temperatures at time points over minimum 180 days. In order to achieve this, the specific analytical methods were developed and validated at the department of Analytical chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové. However, the...

This project has been realized at the Faculty of Information Science and Statistics at the University of Economics, Prague in support of the Czech Science Foundation since 1st January 2008. Thesis sequence to the project consists in filling of particular priorities defined for 1st year of research. Of course this fact represents determining aspect of thesis main goals definition. Firstly, carry out a research on actual level of information systems in Czech enterprises forcefully into the IS/ICT innovation. Secondly, set up working paper for presentation of continuous outcomes after the introductory phase by appearances at scientific conferences, by articles in scientific papers and by findings'publication at a website of the Czech Society for System Integration. Structure of the thesis, which consists of a theoretical and a practical part, specifies methods of goals'filling. The theoretical part represents introduction to problems -- it covers identification of key elements influencing IS/ICT innovation in surrounding of the modern knowledge economy, IS/ICT innovation classification and detailed statement of IS/ICT innovation management process, which is based on methods of strategic management process in general. The practical part gives attention to questionnaire research -- structure of the questionnaire, research methodology and answer evaluation. Contribution of the thesis, together with filling of particular goals of the research project GA201/08/663 -- Information systems innovation to support competitiveness of enterprises, consists in multidimensional view of the specific problems. IS/ICT innovation is seen not only from an enterprise informatics point of view, but also from an entire enterprise angle when economic aspect is also taken into account. Pinerová, Klára ; Kropáček, Luboš (advisor) ; Malečková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Alevis in the Federal Republic of Germany Today Author: Klára Pinerová Department: Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Institute of Near Eastern and African Studies Supervisor: prof. PhDr. Luboš Kropáček, CSc. Alevis supported Atatürk's policy of secularization after World War I. The first President of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, selected elements of Alevi culture with which to construct a new Turkish national identity. Although it appeared that the Alevi identity would dissolve and transform into a single Turkish one, in connection with changed religious policy in the 1980s, the Alevi religious movement instead began to internally mobilize and renew their cultural and religious identity. This was true not only for the Alevi movement in Turkey but also in Germany. Alevis managed to organize and create interconnected networks of organizations across Germany, Turkey and throughout Europe during the last twenty years demonstrate a confident public presence. Alevis in Germany emphasize that they are part of German society, not strangers. They established numerous clubs and organizations representative of the Alevi movement in the struggle for recognition of their rights as a religious group in Germany and in Turkey. They have integrated Alevi religious instruction...

CONTRACTILE FUNCTIONS AND SYMPATHETIC INNERVATION OF THE ALBINO RAT DIABETIC HEART
Švíglerová, Jitka ; Pučelík, Pavel (advisor) ; Ošťádal, Bohuslav (referee) ; Pelouch, Václav (referee)
Contractile functions and sympathetic innervation of the albino rat diabetic heart Thesis Summary: The aim of this thesis was to describe: 1. The impact of untreated long-termed diabetes induced by streptozotocin on cardiac contractile functions and their sympathetic regulation in rat. 2. The effect of insulin on cardiac contraction in control and diabetic myocardium. In the diabetic group, the contraction force was significantly decreased compared to control group. The norepinephrine-releasing mechanisms were altered in chronically diabetic rats and may contribute to the decreased norepinephrine concentration in the diabetic heart. Insulin exerted a significant negative inotropic effect in rat myocardium, both control and diabetic. This effect was probably related to processes of SR Ca2+ release triggering, whereas SR Ca2+ loading is not involved. MUDr. Jitka Švíglerová Plzeň, 2006
