Image of Prague in English written tourist guides

The topic of this bachelor thesis is "The image of Prague in English written tourist guides". This thesis sets out to find the main images, which are connected with space Prague. Using the method of content analysis of two tourist guides the main images were created. These tourist guides are best-selling tourist guides about Prague in the United States of America and Great Britain. I discovered 6 of the most important images which books create about Prague. Prague is shown in guides as a post-communist country, which is slowly trying to catch the western culture. The Czech capital city is seen as well as the city with rich Jewish culture and well-preserved Jewish architecture. Prague is described as a romantic city with kind people, whose are in guide presented in the same way like the city - post-communist people who like Western trends. Czechs have some hobbies, which have survived from the past regime and they like to do things which are modern in Western societies. Prague is as well described as a safe city, where violence and crime is rare, but there are some pick- pockets and frauds.

Specifically, it’s about analysis of current state and project proposal for firm ELWINE Velké Bílovice s.r.o. which focus on better propagation and higher sales of company products. This thesis uses mainly procedures and project management methods.

Tourism in the South Bohemian Area with Huge Amount of Ponds

Tourism is the livelihood of many people in the Czech Republic. It affects not only the people but the landscape, too. The South Bohemian area with huge amount of ponds was selected for this work. The first target of this work is to analyze what kinds of tourism are used in the selected area. This area is characterized by a huge amount of ponds and pure countryside which are attractive for tourism specially for fishing, cycling and hiking. Alternative types of tourism are also analysed, such as agrotourism and ekoagrotourism. Tourism affects the economy, culture, social life and the environment in the region. The second target is to evaluate positive and negative impacts of tourism. On the base of the obtained results, measures focusing on the sustainable development of tourism are designed.

The Evaluation of the Selected Region from the Point of View of Readiness to the Development of Tourism

This work explores the level of the microregion Pelhřimov from a tourism point of view. The main target of this work is to propose a strategy for more intense and greater development of tourism in this microregion. The methodology of the work includes analysis and synthesis of localization and implementation assumptions of the microregion. A strategy for the sustainable development is proposed on the basis of the detected results. The results of the work serve as a basis for the strategic documents of the city and region.

Architecture in Landscape – Winery

The solved territory is situated in the picturesque part of the South Moravian Region in the village of Strachotín. The local environment invites you to create a pleasant holiday space. That's why I designed a winery object with a holiday accommodation in the vineyard and a water museum with a spiritual space inside the water reservoir. The built-up area is designed on two axis lines. The first axis is the connecting line of the historic wine village of Pouzdřany, with the highest peak of the Pavlovské vrchy. There is a vineyard object on this axis. The second axis comes from the neighboring wine village of Popice and heads to the Nove Mlýny water reservoir in the center and to the church of St. Linharta, which protrudes from the water as a remnant of the flooded village of Mušov. That is why a water museum and a spiritual place to think are on the axis. At the intersection of these two axes there is a lookout tower and a main parking area for visitors.

ResPublica/Civitas Socialis - Strachotín

The theme of the diploma thesis is based on conclusions of the pre-diploma thesis which tried to find lost potential of the village Strachotín and outline its possible development. Strachotín is located in a major wine region. Therefore, the potential of the municipality is mainly in wine, tradition and tourism. The stragedy builds on these potentials and creates two main themes. I live, I discover. The living factor represents inhabitants of Strachotín and the possibility of housing, work and recreation. The discovering factor represents traditions and tourism. The key theme becomes a village square. This is primarily a place for local residents, but also a place for the municipality to represent and support tourism. The village square is the most important part of the village, but the current state of affairs is not the case. Village square lost its identity thanks to inappropriate placement of objects and their functional use. The design tries to clean the village square from objects that are not functionally and aesthetically suitable. Objects that remain in the proposal are a municipal house and former school. They have a historical position here. The proposal adds a new object that combines and complements functions that have been missing or lost in the village in the original solution. The newly created public space creates not only a place for the inhabitants of Strachotín, but also a new tourist destination.

The aim of the thesis is to define the vision (in concrete proposals) for the functioning of community, socio-social, leisure and other activities in the village. The vision as such emerged on the basis of analyzes already in the last semester, on its basis, we come to the solution of a partial project, which should show the municipality how to go and why. Representatives and residents of Strachotín have for a long time been considering certain steps, construction works of varying extent, which would strengthen the population, their possibilities in using the potential of the place (wine, tourism) and the village returned the lost face.There is only a small distance between the village and the end of the village in the direction of Pálava, but there is an important urban area - the surroundings of the church - which is historically very important and it hides its potential. In my work, I have commissioned him to uncover it and try to inspect what she can offer. Not only for tourists, but also for locals.

Creation in historical environment of the city Kroměříž Adjusting the waterfront in the section between the Main and Bridge Zborovský

An object of leisure-time center and a new bridge were designed according to needs and limits of this location, that they correspond to. This project follows up on the previous analysis and the riverfront design in the section between the main bridge and the Zborovsky bridge in Kroměříž. The general target of this project is an active integrating the river and its closest neighborhood to the city environment. This target is supported by the study in this project. The leisure-time center design creates a social background and a center of this area and it would became an important point in Kroměříž, where people could relocate on the river, by bike or on foot from. The new bridge design examines possible solutions of a new bridge over the river in Kroměříž, that is missing here.

Amenity migration and regional identity in the Prachatice region

This Thesis called "Amenity migration and regional identity in the Prachatice region" looks into comparing the strenght of regional identity of inhabitants and amenity migrants in the field of interest area ORP Prachatice. Amenity migration is quite new term that can be translated as "pleasure migration". This specific type of migration stems from the hum desire to live in areas with high quality environment. This usualy includes the transition of population from urban to countryside environment. For the use of this Thesis the area of interest was chosen area of ORP Prachatice that consist of three executive offices - PÚ Netolice, PÚ Prachatice and PÚ Volary. The whole area of interest offers on a quite narrow territory three different environments. The aim of this Thesis is the comparison of the level of regional identity among inhabitants in relation to the diverse environment and also the comparison of the strenght of regional identity between the group of permanent inhabitants and amenity migrants. The subject of this thesis on the topic of The marketing communication of touristic destination Trebic is a description and analysis of communication activities of the City of Třebic and other entities involved in the structure of tourism destination, such as national and regional tourism organizations and local providers of accommodation services. The aim was to map the marketing communication towards an audience of tourists from the region, the Czech Republic and abroad. While describing the various tools of communication mix, which are used for this purpose, the major emphasis was on the online communication. Besides the forms of communication, attention was paid to the content, especially unity, clarity and validity of the communicated information.
