Speech therapy prevention from the perspective of the kindergarten director

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of speech therapy prevention from the perspective of the kindergarten director. In accordance with the aim of the thesis, it analyses the current situation and identifies the possibilities of support and risks in the field of speech therapy prevention in selected kindergartens. It studies the state and level of work in kidergartens in terms of ensuring cooperation with a special pedagogical center, a pedagogical-psychological counselling center, a clinical speech therapist and further education of pedagogical staff with a focus on speech therapy assistants. It also indicates the possibilities of obtaining financial resources for aids for children with speech disorders, for further education of teaching staff or for possible cooperation with a clinical speech therapist directly in the kindergarten. The thesis also mentions the grant programs offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture. It also outlines a possible procedure for changing or increasing the efficiency of speech therapy prevention and motivational methods for the active approach of teaching staff, which can be used by the kindergarten director. Mobile application for dysarthria assessment utilising the Test 3F

Speech dysarthria is a impaired communication ability, a motor disorder affecting basic modal aspects of speech. In the Czech Republic, Test 3F, developed in the current clinical speech therapy, is used in diagnostics in both text and electronic form, consisting of 45 execution tasks. Currently, the trend of using mobile applications is expanding in various areas of life, which speed up and streamline human communication and work. The aim of this work is to create a simple but high-quality and reliable mobile application of Test 3F as a diagnostic tool for the examination of speech dysarthria in an effort to help clinical speech therapy in simplifying the diagnosis of this disorder. Mobile application is programmed using several programming languages: Backend is programmed in PHP using the Laravel framework. Frontend is programmed in JavaScript using the React library and the Material UI component library.
Speech therapist's communication with a child

The text deals with the issues of speech therapist's communication with a child of preschool age. The text of the theoretical part of this bachelor thesis discusses the speech therapy as a branch of science, the term of impaired communication ability, dyslalia and its diagnostics, speech development of a child and child directed speech. Against the background of this information, the text of the practical part of the thesis devoted to the analysis of the speech therapist's communication with a child on the basis of the research. The text informs about the general organization of the hours of the speech therapy, which contributes to efficient work with the child. It also describes the different types of exercises and activities that the speech therapist performs with the child during the speech therapy. It emphasizes individual differences between the observed children. The text also seeks to analyze verbal and nonverbal communication of the speech therapist to note the different practices that the speech therapist used for efficient communication with the child. This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of speech therapy prevention from the perspective of the kindergarten director. Specifically, by analyzing the current state, the level of work in kindergartens in the sense of ensuring cooperation with SPC, PPP, clinical speech therapist, further education of pedagogical staff with a focus on speech therapy assistant. It also investigates the possibilities of obtaining funds for aids for children with speech disorders and subsequently also wages for DVPP, or for possible cooperation with a clinical speech therapist directly in kindergarten. What motivational methods does the director choose for the active approach of teaching staff, whether he sees this area as crucial and is ready to make possible changes for it. The content of the practical part of the thesis is the analysis of research survey data, when the method of qualitative research was chosen, in the form of a semi-structured interview with two directors of selected nursery schools. Speech Therapy Provision for Seniors at Residential Care

The topic of this diploma thesis is speech therapy provision for seniors at residential care. The thesis consists of four chapters, three of which are theoretical, the fourth chapter is practical. The first chapter describes the old age, it presents basic terminology and it characterises the old age from the point of view of physical, mental and social development. The second chapter is concentrated on the issue of neurological speech and language disorders, their etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy. The third theoretical chapter describes the system of health and social care of seniors in the Czech Republic with an accent on the system of speech therapy intervention within the resorts of health care and social care. The fourth chapter is the research one. It is developed as a quantitative descriptive research, using the technique of a questionnaire sent to nursing homes for seniors in the Czech Republic. The thesis titled Role of speech therapist in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders characterizes the role of speech therapy intervention as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team taking care of a patient with a neurological diagnosis in the process of comprehensive rehabilitation care. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on professional literature, it defines the terminology related to communication and communication disability in general, then it focuses on neurological diseases and patients with neurogenic communication disorder. The main part is focused on speech therapy intervention in the process of comprehensive rehabilitation of patients with neurological diseases. The practical part of the thesis presents results of a survey, carried out on neurological departments of hospitals in the Czech Republic in October 2016 to obtain information on whether and how the speech therapy intervention is provided at neurological departments in hospitals in the Czech Republic. Logopedic interventions in kindergartens in the foothill of the Orlické Mountains

The diploma thesis is oriented on special education. The main goal is to find out and describe whether and how is speech and language therapy established in regular kindergartens at the foothills of Orlické mountains. The work is divided into five chapters, four of them are theoretical and the fifth chapter is a practical one. The first chapter is focused on the way how the preschool education is organised in the Czech Republic. It describes the legislation system, clarifies the system of curricular documents established in our republic and mainly the framework educational program for preschool education. The second chapter describes the preschool-child ontogenesis including all aspects of his/her personality and it also depicts the child-speech ontogenesis. The third chapter is focused on the main types of impaired communication ability of preschool children. The fourth chapter is focused on the speech therapy intervention provided in the Czech Republic. The fifth chapter presents combined research, within which the qualitative method of dialogue and the quantitative method of questionnaire were used, together with non-structured observation and comparative analysis among kindergartens.
