The budgetary process in small municipalities

The thesis deals with the budgetary process and with the specific situation of small municipalities. The small municipalities are defined to be municipalities with less than one thousand residents, which are not further divided into individual departments. The budgetary process is outlined based on an example of a particular municipality in the region of Karlovy Vary. At the same time some differences compared to the previous development are highlighted as in 2009 the economic position of the local municipalities was affected by the impacts of the financial crisis. Finally, the recommendations are provided both to the particular municipality and to the general approach to the budgetary process as such.
Current trends in automobile industry (with focus on Skoda Auto company)

Thesis analyzes current trends, which take place in automobile industry and attends to Skoda Auto company more deeply. First chapter provides theoretical base, characterizes position of automobile industry in the world economy and the most important changes in its development. Second chapter attends to three traditional centres and current trends, which take place on them, furthermore analyzes current trends from global point of view, impact of the world financial crisis and submits possible future development of this branch. Third chapter describes Skoda Auto company, especially current situation of this automobile company and its possible future development.
The International Monetary Fund and its role in Financial crisis

This bachelor thesis analyses Fund's activity in financial crises and aims to review the effectiveness of the IMF. In the first part there is introduction of the IMF. Its structure, financial resources and instruments which are used in solution of crises are described. In the second part, there is analysis of Fund's role in the selected crisis of 90th - Mexican crisis, crisis in south-east Asia and crisis in Argentina. In analyses, there is always stated a characteristic of the crisis and then evaluation of the role of the IMF. Emphasis is placed on criticism that the IMF's measures have evoked. In the last chapter there is briefly stated the current financial crisis and Fund's participation in it. The thesis also outlines future development of the IMF.

Fiscalisation of expenses of financial crises

The main goal of this thesis is to describe and analyse methods, which were used by countries affected by the Asian financial crisis to resolve related problems and also analyse how these solutions affected public debt. For this purpose I chose three Asian countries, Thailand, Indonesia and South Korea. These countries have one in common, their governments decided to establish Asset Management company to resolve problems of bank sector. This thesis describes how they were successful in their aspirations and fallout of financial crises on choosen countries.
Financial Crisis in Iceland

The diploma work deals with the problems of financial crises, concretely with the Icelandic financial crisis in 2008. The main target of the work is to describe the course, the causes and the consequences of the financial crisis. The fundamental informations about the financial crises are summarized in the theoretical part. The descriptive part deals with the development of the icelandic economy before crisis and with the course of the financial crisis. The final part is devoted to the analysis of the icelandic financial crisis, for that is used the general model of systemic financial crises.
Analysis of anti-crisis measures with the help of basic tools of economic theory

The theoretical part describes and summarizes the causes and consequences of the crisis for the world especially for the ČR. It also describes the measures that should help the Czech Republic to cope with the crisis. The main point of the practical work is based on the planting of anti-crisis measures described in the theoretical part of the economic models and interpretation and prediction of the economic situation after the action. The main contribution of this work is mainly in the fact that after reading the reader should be able to understand what the implications might be measures for the economy of the ČR.
Optimalization of medium-sized enterprise‘s behavior and structure in conditions of financial and economic crisis

My diploma thesis deals with the problem of financial and economical crisis and its impact on economy of medium-sized enterprise (MSE). First part defines the crisis phenomena themselves and discusses their upraise in the USA following by their expansion into the rest of of the world. Major part of my work addresses the situation in the Czech Republic, primarily the analysis of impacts onto the MSE. Another part of my work is a questionnaire research within the company employees. Company's effectiveness and efficiency evaluation are based on the research results. Concluding part proposes particular solutions and procedures suitable for the economical situation improvement of this particular MSE.

The master's thesis analyses the contemporary corporate governance standards and their legal framework. The paper describes the development of different corporate governance principles and the key legal pieces that regulate the corporate governance area (eg. Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, EC regulation). The core of the paper focuses on corporate governance failures that led to the current financial crisis, analyses their link to the corporate governance principles and describes the trends for development in the corporate governance regulation.
Stock market of the Czech Republic under financial crisis conditions

This master's thesis deals with stock market of the Czech Republic under financial crisis conditions. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes a stock price, most significant stock bubbles and fundamental, technical and psychological analysis. The practical part of this thesis is dedicated to an up-to-date stock valuation of three representative stock companies quoted on Prague Stock Exchange by using the fundamental analysis. The technical analysis is applied as an additional approach. The main target of this thesis is to verify whether the current Czech stock market can not be designated as a stock bubble any more in contrast to a situation before the financial crisis.
