Práce analyzuje současné trendy probíhající v automobilovém průmyslu a hlouběji se věnuje společnosti Škoda Auto. První kapitola poskytuje teoretický základ, charakterizuje postavení automobilového průmyslu ve světové ekonomice a nejdůležitější změny v jeho vývoji. Druhá kapitola se věnuje třem tradičním centrům a současným trendům, které na nich probíhají, dále analyzuje současné trendy z globálního pohledu, vliv světové finanční krize a předkládá možný budoucí vývoj tohoto odvětví. Třetí kapitola popisuje společnost Škoda Auto, zejména současnou situaci této automobilky a její možný budoucí vývoj. Thesis analyzes current trends, which take place in automobile industry and attends to Skoda Auto company more deeply. First chapter provides theoretical base, characterizes position of automobile industry in the world economy and the most important changes in its development. Second chapter attends to three traditional centres and current trends, which take place on them, furthermore analyzes current trends from global point of view, impact of the world financial crisis and submits possible future development of this branch. Third chapter describes Skoda Auto company, especially current situation of this automobile company and its possible future development.
