Social disadvantage of secondary school student - the effect of disadvantage on education and possibilities of eliminating this phenomenon

This thesis focuses on the education of secondary school pupils who are socially disadvantaged. It presents the phenomenon of social disadvantage in the context of education and current legislation. It also describes the current situation and the causes of social disadvantage, particularly the role of the family, and also focuses on pupils and their families from socially excluded localities. A significant amount of space is dedicated to descriptions of the manifestations of social disadvantage in school, the diagnosis of social disadvantage, and the specific education of socially disadvantaged pupils, especially the principles of such education. The goals of this thesis are to demonstrate the effect of social disadvantage on secondary school pupils and to highlight possible solutions to this phenomenon within the education system, the possibilities for support in education, and the role of the school social worker in eliminating the impacts of social disadvantage in education. The thesis also contains case histories of socially disadvantaged female pupils as a demonstration of the professional and important work of the school social worker. Special education diagnostic of school readiness

Special education diagnostic of school readiness Abstract This thesis on Special educational diagnostics of school readiness deals with preparedness of a child entering primary school. It concerns the main features of readiness for school attendance such as physical, perceptual, cognitive and social, emotional and motivational readiness. The first section describes the abilities a pre-school child should posses in terms of aspects mentioned earlier. Subsequently, an emphasis will be given to the enrolment in primary school and then it is followed by the description of legislation and functions of the preparatory classes for primary education. The aim of my thesis paper is to demonstrate the importance of the preparation for systematic graphomotorical skills of children with deferred school attendance who attend preparatory year of elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on diagnosis of auditory and visual perception and graphomotorical skills in a selected group of children (research and control). One element of the paper is dedicated to design an intervention plan for the group of researchers and its subsequent evaluation in the form of re-diagnosis. Buying and Selling People with the Aim of Sexual Abuse

The work focuses on trade with people for the purpose of sexual exploitation. It defines the basic terms of this problem and it determines the individual forms of the trade with people. The work also studies the legislation of this problem in the international and Czech criminal law. Other chapters deal with the outlines of the National strategy for preventing the trade with people and the Model for the support and protection of victims of trade with people in the Czech Republic. The description of a personal experience with streetworking in locations with a high prostitution occurence and an interview with a woman who was traded and sexually exploited. Issue of mental health care in the Czech Republic with a focus on the personal experience of the users

In my diploma thesis I would like to introduce the readers to the issue of mental health care in the Czech Republic. I will focus on mental health definition, classification of mental illnesses, and also introduce services provided to people with mental illness. Furthermore, I will deal with the systém of mental health care in the Czech Republic, where I will try to point out the greatest positives and also some negatives of this system. The reader will also learn about Czech legislation related to this issue. Finally, I will inform about the psychiatric care reform, which started in 2013 in the Czech Republic - I will mention the main milestones, plan and strategy of this reform, and the benefits of this reform will be demonstrated on particular steps and realized projects. In the research section, I will focus on personal experience of care users, where thanks to the interviews, I can mediate the biggest mental health care problems from users point of view. Life perspectives of clients from the Institutional Treatment Institut.

This diploma thesis deals with life perspective problems of clients in Institutional Treatment Institut that are captured in their several personal narratives and subsequently processed by the method of narrative analysis. The diploma thesis is focused on the partial, lively, personal, unique and subjective experience of the clients in the Institutional Treatment Institut, aiming to understand their lives within contextual connections and to reflect their future life perspectives. The thesis has a theoretical-application character. The attention of the theoretical part is paid to problems of behavioral and emotional disorders, their classifications, causes and other contexts, as well as the topic of prevention and therapy of behavioral and emotional disorders, with the greatest attention being paid to institutional education. The author is also interested in the period of adolescence. The empirical part focuses on mapping the links between the experience of staying in the Institutional Treatment Institut and the current view of the own particular life perspectives of the survey participants, wheras among other things, the protagonist's changes in attitudes about education as a life value over time are accentuated.
