Prokopová, Aneta ; Hargašová, Lucia (advisor) ; Gillernová, Ilona (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the definition of the role of a short-term foster carer from the perspective of the persons who perform this role. The aim of the thesis is to map the level of commitment and professionalism in short-term fostering and the factors that influence these phenomena. The empirical part is based on qualitative research. Semi-structured interviews were used for data collection. The collected data was processed using the grounded theory method. The results of this work showed that short-term foster carers define their role as "emotionally commited transitional foster carer". This term reflects the ability of foster carers to use both emotionally engaged and professional elements. Findings also showed that foster carers are flexible in their role and change it over time. The thesis also offers an understanding of the concept of professionalism through the eyes of short-term foster carers that does not rely on emotional detachment. The findings of this thesis have offered a relatively rich insight into the perceived self-role of short-term foster carers, which has potential for use in practice, particularly in adjusting officially stated role descriptions, process setting and collaboration.

Jardin Kocourek, Renata ; Gillernová, Ilona (advisor) ; Šírová, Eva (referee) ; Boukalová, Hedvika (referee)

Klempířová, Kateřina ; Gillernová, Ilona (advisor) ; Takács, Lea (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out whether there is a connection between the ways of emotional regulation that mothers use in communication with their children and their attachment. The literature review section defines the basic concepts for this work, which are attachment, emotional regulation and their connectivity and the interaction of the mother with her child. In the research participated 288 respondents. The research is quantitative. The results and methods of data processing are described in the empirical part. The ECR-R16 Close Relationship Experience Questionnaire and the ERQ Emotional Regulation Questionnaire were mainly used for data collection. The question of mapping the frequency of experiencing emotions was inspired by part of the questionnaire by Zaouche-Gaudron et al. The findings show that statistically significant results were found for disorganized attachment. The connection has been shown in disorganized attachment and suppression as a way of regulating emotions. It has also been shown that this attachment style differs in the frequency of pride and sadness compared to other attachment styles. The results of the research open up the possibility of further research, especially in the area of disorganized attachment, for which statistically significant results have...

Knapová, Karolína ; Brousilová, Klára (advisor) ; Gillernová, Ilona (referee)
This bachelor's thesis introduces the so-called ground rules used in child interviews and the main documents that contain ground rules. There is not much literature regarding this domain in the context of the Czech Republic, so the text covers mainly foreign resources. The theoretical section focuses on the explanation of the principle of ground rules, it describes each of the ground rules, key protocols, and related research results. It also includes a chapter regarding the basics of communication with a child, including many examples. The empirical section introduces a research proposal that aims to describe the effect of ground rules practice by children of lower school age. In particular, whether the practice consequently leads to their more frequent use by the child. The contribution of the research would be empirically supported knowledge of how children practically use ground rules when educated or trained. Furthermore, it will be the first research of this type in the Czech Republic, which would bring closer look at this issue in the Czech environment.
