Mental Health Support for Employees during the COVID-19 pandemic

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the possibilities of mental health support for employees during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with the relation between mental health and work, especially in terms of psychosocial risks, which arise from working conditions or the character of work. In these terms, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on working life and mental health in the Czech Republic is explained. The thesis focuses on the group of white-collar workers i.e., administrative, professional, or managerial workers, who were working mainly from home office during the COVID-19 pandemic. The thesis presents options of the mental health support for employees and ways of managing the psychosocial risks of work. Related legislative and strategic frameworks of the Czech Republic and international organizations are introduced, as well as actions or programmes of mental health support for employees in organizations. Continuing Education as a Factor of Job Satisfaction Among Foreign Language Lectors

Given the increasing importance of continuing education in adult life, this development opportunity is increasingly being offered to employees within the organisation. Although there is a body of work looking at the potential for continuig education and its impact on job satisfaction for school teachers, this area is not well researched for language educators. The aim of this paper is to analyse continuing education and its relationship with job satisfaction in foreign language educators. The background of the thesis will provide an overview of continuing education, its function, purpose and role in relation to employment. Foreign language lecturers and their specifics within the lecturing job are approached, and last but not least, job satisfaction and its relation to continuing education are elaborated. This bachelor's thesis explores self-reflection and its use during feedback interviews. The researcher feedback interview is feedback after sitting in on classes between teacher and supervisor or another worker at school. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is an analysis of the feedback process and the element of self-reflection used in it. Attention is firstly focused on the benefits of feedback for employees and the use of elements of self-reflection in a feedback interview. The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation of elementary and high school teachers for further vocational education and the extent to which this motivation is related to their job satisfaction. The aim of the thesis is to identify the job satisfaction of elementary and high school teachers in the Czech Republic, and how it correlates with their motivation for further vocational education. The Effect of Long-term Working from Home on Well-being

The Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the impact of long-term work from home on personal well-being. The conceptual basis of work is devoted to the definition of work from home (as an alternative work regime), its current legislation, the prerequisites for effective work from home, and the disruptive factors that can influence work from home. Furthermore, different theoretical concepts of the personal well-being are also described and attention is paid especially to the PERMA model. Last but not least, the work focuses on work-life balance for individuals working from home and a separate chapter belongs to the topic of work from home during the covid-19 pandemic. The starting points of the thesis are also relevant researches. The work includes a research investigation conducted using the qualitative method of semi- structured interviews, which aims to identify differences in the effect of working from home on the different components of the PERMA concept for carers of dependent children and non- carers, among other issues.
Benefits of Supervision Reflected by Volunteers in Nonprofit Organizations

This bachelor thesis explores subjectively felt effects of supervision on volunteers. The thesis firstly deals with supervision itself, secondly defines volunteering and lastly combines these two topics and dives into volunteer supervision. Volunteer supervision is closely related to supervision of helping professions, where is the main focus in professional literature. Volunteer supervision is based on helping professions supervision and is advanced by a plethora of methods used by volunteer organizations. The thesis bases upon relevant literature on supervision, mainly literature on social work supervision, volunteering and volunteer supervision. Another substantial source used is research into benefits of supervision for volunteers specifically. This thesis aims to analyze, how volunteers from volunteering organizations feel affected by supervision, and what kind of benefits supervision brings them. Realization of Age Management in Organizations in the Czech Republic

This work aims to analyse the realization of age management in organizations in the Czech Republic. The work focuses on the concept of age management, its tools, levels, pillars, demographic changes, workability, and measures of age management in human resource activities. Then follows an empirical survey. This survey aims to analyse age management measures applied by selected organizations in banking and insurance in Prague. This area is selected based on an analysis of examples of good age management practice and research of signatories to the Diversity Charter, in which banking and insurance organizations were well represented. The work is based on the assumption that if an organization deals with diversity, it is very likely, that it could also deal with diversity based on age. The empirical survey is realized in the form of interviews with personnel workers. The evaluation is based on a comparison of age management measures in selected organizations in banking and insurance with the already analysed principles and recommendations of the theoretical concept of age management. The Using of Coping Strategies among Managers in the Terms of Job Satisfaction

This bachelor thesis deals with the subject of work stress and using coping strategies among managers in the terms of job satisfaction. The first part of the thesis includes the comparsion of the concept stress and mental load, continues with description of the related terms. The second part provides details about job satisfaction. The third part defines managerial work and the demands that managers and leaders are forced to deal with. The empirical part is based on literature search and so far conducted researches, which describe these facts only marginally. The main aim of own research is to verify dependency between the overall level of job satisfaction and preferences for using offensive or defensive stress management strategies. Another goal is to find out how are these preferences affected by the availability of stress management trainings in the workplace. The partial aim is to analyze the most common situations in which managers experience stress load. A quantitative survey was implemented by means of an electronic questionnaire. The results confirmes the relationship between coping strategies and job satisfaction although, only in the case od defensive strategies, the use of which significatnly reduce job satisfaction. The Impact of Burnout Syndrome on Teachers' Work Career

Bachelor's thesis works up the issue of burnout syndrome at teachers of elementary and high schools. Goal of this bachelor's thesis is to capture the impact of burnout syndrome on teachers' work performance and career. At first attention in the thesis is dedicated to the definition of burnout syndrome and it's causes, it's particular phases, consequences of burnout syndrome and it's possible prevention. Attention is also paid to the profession and work career of teachers in connection with the factors influencing work career because of burnout syndrome. Goal of the qualitative research is to find out in what way the burnout syndrome effects the work career at target group of elementary and high school teachers, who have the burnout syndrome professional diagnosed for at least one year. Data is gathered by personnel interviews with twelve people aged 25 to 65 years from the field of elementary and high school education coming from Central Bohemian Region and from Ústí nad Labem Region. Responders are chosen via non-random occasional choice. Responders can enrol on research voluntarily by e-mail on the basis of invitation addressed to principals of elementary and high schools. Further Education of Pedagogical Staff as Latent Prevention of Burnout

The bachelor thesis elaborates the issue of further education of pedagogical staff as a preventive measure of burnout syndrome of teachers. The aim of the bachelor is to analyze the potential connection between further education of pedagogical staff and the prevention of burnout syndrome. Theoretical part is devoted to the connection of burnout syndrome with the teacher profession, according to modern a theory of psychohygiene and personal education. Firstly there is a description of the burnout syndrome - definition, course, and prevention which is especially important. Furthermore, there is the form of the further education of pedagogical staff. One of the most important part is devoted to legislation that applies to further education of pedagogical staff. In the final phase, there is a question of connecting these two topics. The aim of the quantitative empirical survey is to evaluate whether the further education of pedagogical staff functions as a prevention of burnout syndrome and if teachers are sufficiently informated about this fact. From the resulting data, we can confirm the fact that further education of pedagogical staff can function as a preventive measure against the burnout syndrome.
