Second grade students of a selected elementary school and solving non-standard problems
Jakoubková, Zuzana ; Voňková, Hana (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
In the theoretical part, the diploma thesis focuses on the definition of the legislative framework regarding to the inclusion of non-standard tasks to the teaching methods in the Czech Republic, with regard to RVP ZV, and then on the explanation of the terms task, and non-standard task in a mathematical context, with reference to the definitions of both, Czech and foreign authors. Subsequently, the author focus on the typology of non-standard tasks, and their use in textbooks and workbooks used during lessons of mathematic in the Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis is an empirical research based on the results of a questioning students from a specified elementary school. The questioning is focused not only on the level of students familiarity with non-standard tasks, but also on their ability to solve these tasks. This research is supplemented by the results of interviews with individual teachers in the field of mathematics at the selected elementary school. During debates with teachers, it became clear that use non-standard tasks like a teaching method is not very common in the Czech Republic. However, it follows from the results of the questionnaire research, that students have experience with basic principles, and algorithms of solving non-standard tasks and in lessons they encounter all...
E-learning implementation into company education regarding the 70:20:10 educational model
Doležel, Radim ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (advisor) ; Kočí, Jana (referee)
This thesis sees the use of e-learning as an important tool for distant learning and adult education. The theoretical part focuses on the introduction of e-learning, its advantages, and disadvantages, detailly describes the stakeholders and created standards for e-learning, too. Thesis also describes the pedagogical aspects during development of e-learning. An integral part of this thesis is the description of the 70:20:10 education model and adult learning. The key part of the research is the quantitative data collection. The research questions are validated by a questionnaire according to which several recommendations and possible improvements emerged. As a part of the research of this thesis, a community on the Fuse platform has been created. Individual departments from Hilti ČR spol. s r.o. can upload their training materials to this platform. Metoda vrstevnic a modelování proudění nemísitelných nestlačitelných tekutin
Čapek, Marek ; Hron, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Maršík, František (referee)
The focus of this thesis are three-dimensional simulations of flow of two immiscible incompressible viscous fluids and distribution of concentration transported by the flow where the free interface between the fluids is realized by level-set method. It is applied to blood flow and coagulation. The blood flow is described using Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible fluids, numerical method is done by finite element method with Q2 - Q1 elements and the problem is solved as coupled. The distribution of concentration is described using transport equation, discretization is done using Q1 elements.
Issue of creating school curriculum
Rozkydalová, Andrea ; Rusek, Martin (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
1 ABSTRACT: This bachelor's work covers the issue of creating school curriculum (SC). The theoretical part proceeds from the system of curriculum documents and methodology of creating SC. The next part of this work deals with analysis of seven different SC, specifically the part People and nature and Educational subject Chemistry and analysis of characteristics of Educational subject Chemistry. Sample of analysed schools consists of seven elementary schools. With connection to creating SC the next part focuses on articles that deal with this issue in specialist magazines and teachers' opinions about implementing SC into schools. It also includes dialogs with teachers that created SC for their schools. Advantages and disadvantages of implementing SC into schools emerge from these dialogues as well as valuable advices about creating the documents themselves. The conclusion of this work was creation SC for Educational subject Chemistry that is going to be used as a sample for teaching since school year 2014/2015.
Lifestyle and Physical Activities of Female Students Aged 11-15 from Selected Schools in Prague 11
Čapek, Martin ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Baláš, Jiří (referee)
The title of the bachelor thesis: Lifestyle and Physical Activities of Female Students Aged 11 15 from Selected Schools in Prague 11 Goal of the paper: To map out physical activities of female students aged 11 15 and their determinants Method: The paper is based on a research carried out by means of a standard University of Tasmania questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire were analysed and compared with the set hypotheses. Outcomes: H1 hypothesis assuming that physical activities decrease with the growing age of girls has not been confirmed. H2 hypothesis assuming that physical activities during weekdays are more intense than at weekends has not been confirmed. H3 hypothesis assuming that watching TV and using PC increases with the growing age of girls has been confirmed. Key words: lifestyle, hypokinesis, motoric activity, physical activities, physical education activity, sport activity
Analysis of natural organic dyes and pigments by mass spectrometry
Stýblová, Marie ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
This thesis named "Analysis of natural organic dyes and pigments by mass spectrometry" investigates the identification of selected natural organic dyes and pigments by qualitative Laser Desorption/Ionisation - Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry analysis (LDI-TOF MS). The advantage of LDI-TOF MS method is its quick and reliable identification of low molecular weight material without preparatory chemical or time-consuming modification of samples. This method can be used for the analysis of works of art or for verifying their authenticity thanks to requiring only a little amount of sample. The LDI-TOF MS was tested on 19 organic dyes and pigments (e.g. alizarin, apigenin, baicalein, flavone, xanthone, tannic acid), four exemplarily prepared lakes (alizarin, purpurin, chrysin a quercetin lakes) and lakes mixed with organic binding media. The method was also successfully applied to two samples of blue color that were taken from Josef Čapek's painting called 'Procházka' (The Walk), that was dating back to 1936.
Interactive Tools for Teaching Chemistry - Interactive Teaching Supported by Wolfram Mathematica
Helceletová, Zuzana ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (advisor) ; Duschinská, Karolina (referee)
Information and communication technologies (further referred to as "ICT") are increasingly influencing whole structure of the society. The integration of ICT into education together with the transition of the traditional teaching into a modern learning environment is therefore understood as one of the key factors of further development. This work examines some of the possibilities of applying electronical support for teaching chemistry at high schools. It focuses mainly on the visualisation of the subject matter, suitable positive motivation and incitement of the students. This paper describes in detail the presentation of subjects in chemistry using software applets of Wolfram Mathematica. One of the goals of this paper is to introduce the software and to present its potential application in teaching chemistry. Furthermore it shall encourage the use of particular demonstrations applets of the software Wolfram Mahematica. To achieve this goals, the author of this paper describes in detail the source codes of seven demonstrations applets called "Formulas and Structures for Some Simple Molecules", "Build Your Own Atoms", "Visualizing Atomic Orbitals", "Alkanes", "Oxidation States of Carbon", "Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) Theory" and "Ideal Gas Law", which are available for free on...
