Analysis of employee benefits

The first part of my bachelor's thesis focuses on the meaning of the terms motivation, job motivation and characteristics of different types of employee benefits. The second part analyzes benefits in the form of vouchers, especially their useage in tourism. In the end the analysis is completed by my own questionnaire survey. Its objective was to find out which vouchers employees get or which of them they would like to get, where the employees use the vouchers and the level of their knowledge in the sphere of voucher benefits and their usage.
Employee motivation and employee benefits

This bachelor thesis deals with the area of human resources management, namely with employee motivation and employee benefits which are related to this subject. The theoretical part focuses on explanation of fundamental terms of motivation both from the general and the work-related point of view. Furthermore thesis focuses on the area of employee benefits, specifically their function, meaning and structuring. The practical part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the motivational system of a particular company operating on the Czech market. At the conclusion a concept of changes and improvements is proposed based on these findings.
Care for the employees in Lázně Poděbrady

This bachelors thesis deals with care for the employees. The first part focuses on theoretical description of activities dealing with this area and some related legal rules. The second practical part describes and evalutes execution of these activities in the company Lázně Poděbrady and contains proposals for improvement. Results of the employees' satisfaction with working environment survey are presented at the end.
Overview of selected aspects of employee care in an international environment

The bachelor thesis provides an overview of selected aspects of staff care according to their application by two analyzed American firms: Google and Southwestern Company. The observed situation is compared with the practices from given area used in the Czech Republic. The main attention belongs to development, education of employees and their benefits. The thesis confirms that in the surveyed companies are benefits provided to a greater extent than is customary in the Czech Republic. The education is more intense and personalized. Both companies are focused in appreciating their employees and a good social environment, but Southwestern simultaneously supports competing in order to gain the highest possible performance. The study of given area also finds negatives of the situation in the USA and provides recommendations to both compared countries.
Working time analysis in a marketing company

This thesis deals with the issue of working time, as one of the main aspects of work. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the working time in concrete marketing company. The theoretical part introduces the issue and summarizes the basic knowledge of literature. In the practical part the company system of flexible working hours is being analyzed in detail. The aim is to analyze the behavior of employees in relation to working time and to recommend appropriate further steps for the company. This analysis should be useful particularly for managers and for HR department.
Taxation of employee benefits

Diploma thesis analyzes the impact of the legislative changes in employee benefits, contained in an amendment of the Labor Code and the Income Taxes Act on employee salary and the employer`s tax deductible expenses in 2008 compared to 2007. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first chapter deals with clarifying the concept of employee benefits, an overview of employee benefits, and further illustrates the tax solution of benefits. In the second chapter the selected employee benefits are characterized. The third chapter is analytical, there is shown the impact of the legislative changes in employee benefits. Comparative analysis and synthesis are used to identify and quantify the impact of the changes.
Analyses of the impact of the employee cost lump sum introduction on the tax liability of employee in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the impact of a possible introduction of the employee cost lump sum and of cancelling the tax exemption of some tax fringe benefits on the tax liability of the employee. In the first part the fringe benefits taxation system is described, in the second part the fringe benefits taxation system in some OECD countries is described; the third final part shows calculations of the rate of the employee cost lump sum and the analyses of the impact of the modified tax legislation on the tax liability of the model tax payers.
How to recruite and retain quality workers in the ICT business

The thesis is focused on describing the procedures through which organizations can acquire and retain high-quality long-term workers in the ICT sector. Most of the described procedures can be easily transfered to other industries. Brand new approaches that can be applied in the process of recruitment, are discussed as well, specifically, the possibility of using online social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. Outsourcing is another, fairly new option of acquiring employees. An example of such a service is oDesk. The following part of the work describes the processes that are used in recruitment and retaining the skilled employees in the Unicorn company, which is the major producer of software in the Czech Republic. Despite Unicorn`s long-term achievements and experience in implementing the various human resources management and other related activities in order to acquire and maintain high-quality employees, the author was able to formulate specific proposals and recommendations that may contribute to their further improvement and streamlining. These recommendations are subject to the final part of the thesis.
