School psychologist in a school with an innovative educational curriculum

The work focuses on mapping the experiences of school psychologists who work in elementary schools with an innovative school education program (ŠVP) in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, readers are introduced to the concepts of school psychology, educational programs, innovative education and the role of the school psychologist in innovative schools. In the empirical part, research conducted using qualitative methodology is presented. 4 research questions were determined: According to school psychologists working in schools with an innovative school educational program, how does innovation in education manifest itself? The usage of crisis intervention by school psychologists

1 ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis on the Use of Crisis Intervention by School Psychologists is to map out how school psychologists work with crisis intervention and what specifics CI can bring to a school environment. In our research, we ask five questions to explore how school psychologists define crisis, how often they work with crisis, what factors may influence this frequency, what specific techniques school psychologists use when working with crisis, and what helps them to manage these situations. A qualitative research study was conducted to address the stated goal. It includes ten semi-structured interviews and one pilot interview. The interviewees were school psychologists from elementary schools, high schools, college and secondary vocational schools. Respondents were selected in order to obtain as diverse sample as possible, taking into account the size of the school, the region in which it was located, and respondents' experience. Three main themes and four sub-themes emerged from the thematic analysis. Possible links between the categories were then explored. Deferring compulsory school attendance in the context of literacy skills

The thesis focuses on the issue of school deferment in the context of literacy skills in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is structured in 3 chapters. The first chapter discusses concepts such as school maturity and readiness. The second chapter provides an overview and summary of the existingknowledge on school deferrals.The content of the third chapter is a definitionof literacyskills and an introductionto the PorTex diagnostic tool along with the 7 tests and the test battery questionnaire through which data for the research was collected. In the practical section, the quantitative research methodology of the research itself is presented. The research population consists of pupils from the 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades of primary school, divided into 2 groups: children with and without school deferment. Data analysis was carried out in two phases. The results obtained indicate that differences between the groups were demonstrated only in 3 tests and in several subareas of the selected tests. Burnout syndrome in preschool teachers

The aim of the bachelor's thesis titled Burnout syndrome among teachers in preschool education is to find out what is the incidence rate of burnout syndrome among teachers in preschool education. Another goal is to find out what forms of burnout prevention the teachers use. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and an empirical part. The main purpose of the theoretical part is to acquaint the reader with the issue of stress and burnout in connection with the profession of a teacher in preschool education. The theoretical part is divided into six main chapters that directly relate to the chosen topic. In the practical part of the work, knowledge from the theoretical part is verified by a quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire survey, and at the same time by a qualitative method, in the form of personal interviews. A total of 234 respondents, teachers from kindergartens throughout the Czech Republic took part in the research. As a part of the survey, a standardized MBI questionnaire and a self-constructed questionnaire were used. The MBI Questionnaire examines burnout in three dimensions-emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal satisfaction. Communication between primary school teachers and families of Ukrainian refugees

This thesis deals with communication between primary education teachers and parents of Ukrainian pupils who came to the Czech Republic as a result of the war conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The thesis examines and analyses the experiences of specific teachers working in Prague mainstream primary schools in the field of communication with parents of pupils. The theoretical part focuses on the concept of integration of foreigners and related legislation, including statistical data. It also introduces organisations dealing with the issue of foreign pupils with a different mother tongue. It focuses on social communication, its forms and communication channels between teachers and parents of pupils. It describes obstacles to communication, such as language barriers, different cultural backgrounds, traumas caused by war and teachers' lack of communication skills. It discusses specific differences in the Ukrainian education system and presents the 2030+ Strategy, which aims to modernize the education system and improve teachers' readiness for future challenges. The experience of school psychologists with the phenomenon of self-harm

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of self-harm. The theoretical part is divided into several thematic areas. The first of them concerns self-harm and all its requisites from the definition, defining the concept of self-harm within the thesis, classification, methods, etiology, risk factors related to self-harm, the purpose of self-harm, defining coping strategies to the connection between self-harm and addiction and the origins of self-harm itself. It also defines the developmental period of adolescence and the occurrence of risk behaviors associated with this period. This is followed by a chapter on the school and school climate, defining the school counseling center and all staff within the school counseling center and the various relationships of the school psychologist with the internal relational network of the school. There is also a chapter on prevention, where the types of prevention are characterized, the minimum prevention program is mentioned, and prevention itself is discussed in relation to self-harm and the SOSI program. Coping with demanding study responsibilities for conservatory students

This master's thesis deals with the demanding responsibilities of studying at a conservatoire and coping with them. The aim of the thesis is to research how students experience their studies, the stress and also how they cope with the stress itself. Conservatoire students are a very specific group of pupils. From an early age they publicly perform, they are being judged, compared and they develop a very unique individual relationship with their teachers. All these circumstances can lead to difficult situations in their life. The theoretical part of the thesis is therefore divided into 4 main chapters. In the first chapter there is a brief description of studying at a conservatoire with a focus on its technicalities. The second chapter examines stress amongst musicians, what causes it, how it emerges, and I also mention stress among young musicians and how it differs from stress experienced by professional musicians in this chapter. The next part brings the reader closer to specific challenging situations in the lives of conservatoire students and the last chapter describes coping strategies that can be used in the lives of musicians.
