Methodology for monitoring and evaluation of light parameters and biological indicators of internal environment depositories and expositions
Juliš, Karel ; Valach, Jaroslav ; Frankl, Jiří ; Štefcová, P. ; Pech, M. ; Kotyk, M.
The project focuses on automation of collection and evaluation of given physical and biological parameters of the museum expositions and repositories. There is specified a methodology, together with description of particular hardware components and software central point, which collects and evaluates the information acquired. The system, as a whole, is designed as a modular and open platform, which allows a wide variety of user modifications and customisation to almost any specific museum collection, repository or exhibition.

Guidebook to care for populations of the Alpine Longhorn Beetle (Rosalia alpina)
Čížek, Lukáš ; Drag, Lukáš ; Hauck, David ; Foltan, P. ; Okrouhlík, J.
This guidebook to care for populations of the Alpine Longhorn Beetle (Rosalia alpina) is based on the most recent scientific information available on biology and habitat requirements of the species. It also incorporates state of art knowledge on dynamics of its habitats and management of of sites inhabited by the species, including measures such as active creation of its habitat trees. The guidebook thus delivers effective guidelines for care for populations of this „priority“ species protected by European Union. The application of active and passive management measures described within this guide will ensure survival existing populations of this highly threatened species as well as their spread to wider surroundings of currently inhabited sites.

Čížek, Lukáš ; Konvička, Ondřej ; Hauck, David ; Foltan, P. ; Okrouhlík, J.
This guidebook to care for populations of the Great Stag Beetle (Lucanus cervus) is based on the most recent scientific information available on biology and habitat requirements of the species. It also incorporates state of art knowledge on dynamics of its habitats and management of of sites inhabited by the species. The guidebook thus delivers effective guidelines for care for populations of this icon of biodiversity associated with dead wood and open woodlands. The application of active management measuresa described within the guide will ensure survival existing populations of this species.

Guidebook to care for populations of the Flat Bark Beetle (Cucujus cinnaberinus)
Čížek, Lukáš ; Hauck, David ; Konvička, Ondřej ; Foltan, P. ; Okrouhlík, J.
This guidebook to care for populations of the Flat Bark Beetle (Cucujus cinnaberinus) is based on the most recent scientific information available on biology and habitat requirements of the species. Since the beetle currently spreads in Central Europe, no specific measures are needed to support its populations at most sites. Basic rules proposed in the guide should be applied at sites designed for protections of the Flat Bark Beetle. And since the pressure on exploitation of renewable resources might soon result in decrease of dead wood availability in the region, thus leading to decline of the beetle populations. In such case, the rules presented in the guide should be applied to woodlands inhabited by the species.

Improving Indoor Air Quality of Libraries and Archives in Order to Significantly Reduce the Degradation of Library and Archival Materials
Součková, M. ; Vávrová, P. ; Novotný, J. ; Dřevíkovská, J. ; Paulusová, H. ; Bartl, B. ; Bartlová, L. ; Bacílková, B. ; Straka, R. ; Ďurovič, M. ; Mašková, Ludmila ; Smolík, Jiří
The aim of the preservation procedure is to improve the indoor air quality in libraries and archives in order to maximally slowed the degradation process of library and archival materials. After identification the degradation risks and determination the indoor air quality will be suggested means for improvement of the indoor air quality, which will limit the degradation of stored library and archive materials.
