Tooth decay prevention for preschool age children

Tooth cavity in childhood represents a significant problem of nowadays children. Prevention of tooth cavity is a compulsory requirement for a development of healthy teeth among children. Bachelor thesis has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis concerns anatomy, physiology and pathology of child's teeth, dental care and teeth cavity in early childhood, endangered children groups, prevention and complications with tooth cavities, hygiene of oral cavity, recommended nutrition and prevention programs. The aim of the empirical segment was to discover how the oral hygiene of pregnant mothers relates to that of their children, influence of early oral hygiene of children, merits of specific nutrition starting at birth, what influence does early dental care have. For the purpose of the research there has been used an anonymous form, in order of gathering the necessary data. The research group consisted of 70 mothers of preschool children (2-6 years of age), the research took place at a children dental ambulance at VFN Prague. v anglickém jazyce This bachelor thesis investigates history of nursing in the region of Mladá Boleslav. The aim of the thesis is to shed the light on the history, development and the current state of nursing in the Mladá Boleslav region. The thesis is written from historical point of view. The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 describes the nursing care in prehistoric times and documents the prehistoric settlement of Mladá Boleslav. Chapter 2 focuses on the nursing in the Middle Ages and special attention is given to the formation of hospitals in Mladá Boleslav region. Chapter 3 describes the nursing from the period of Enlightment till the end of the First Republic. The chapter focuses on the cholera outbreak, the establishment of the military and district hospital and the psychiatric hospital. Chapter 4 discusses the nursing from the end of the World War II up to the present. The chapter analyzes the development of the district and psychiatric hospitals after the Second World War. TITLE: Administration of Police Education - Legal Status of Colleges of the Ministry of the Interior AUTHOR: Petr Schreyer DEPARTMENT: Centrum školského managementu SUPERVISOR: RNDr. Jindřich Kitzberger ABSTRAKT: Topic of the final thesis is dedicated to the public administration of police education and legal status of schools of the Ministry of the Interior. Particular attention is paid to police colleges of the Ministry of the Interior and their public administration. The thesis maps general legal provisions in the area of state administration of education and special legal provisions in force for some special types of schools, which serves the needs of an education of armed forces and security forces, especially Police of the Czech Republic. The final work in detail assesses the scope of authority of Ministry the Interior towards police colleges and colleges of fire protection which are founded by the Ministry. In detail it describes and analyses deviations from general legal provisions in the area of education law and law concerning pedagogical staff in relation to these colleges and its pedagogical workers. Nursing Care of Seniors in Intensive Care Unit-ICU and Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation Unit-ARU

General nurses in their proffesion provide nursing care to patients of different age groups. Quite frequently represented group are seniors. This fact is due to the increase in life expectancy, medical advances and polymorbidity of seniors, which is often the cause of their hospitalization. Nursing care for seniors is particularly challenging due to the occurence of many geriatric symptoms, restriction of cognitive functions and inabillity to self care. Much more difficult situation occurs, if the state of geriatric patient requires care in ARO (Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation) or ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Identification of problem areas in intensive nursing care for seniors leads to infer the possible measures for practice. In terms of this thesis quantitative research was carried out using a questionnaire survey. Research group consisted of general nurses from departments of intensive care, thus professional intesive care units (ICU) and department of anesthesiology and resuscitation. Out of the total number of 120 distributed questionnaires (100 %) returned 94 usable questionnaires (78,33 %). Realization of research survey was conducted in February 2012. Nursing Care of Infusion Lines

The bachelor thesis deals with issues of handling an infusion line. The thesis describes the infusion line, its components and an extra chapter is devoted needleless connectors. It also includes procedures of using infusion lines and needleless connectors which are recommended not only by The International Association of Infusion Nurses (INS), but also by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The work also describes complications of nosocomial infections that are related to handling the infusion line. In the practical part, I have made the results of the survey, which was aimed at the servicing infusion lines. The questionnaire was completed by nurses and midwives at Podřipský hospital and the health centre in Roudnice nad Labem. From the obtained data, I have found out that 81.82% of respondents use when working with the infusion line needleless connectors. On the contrary bacterial filters in the catheter sepsis prevention are not used at all. Next I have found out that 98.18% of respondents carry out the hygienic disinfection of hands before using the infusion line.
Burnout for Nurses

The bachelor thesis has theoretical as well as empirical character. Its content focuses on the issue of burnout syndrome in nurses. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on personality profile of a general nurse. I first characterize her personality, characters, psychological problems related to the profession. The next chapter focused on burnout syndrome deals with the causes of burnout syndrome, its symptoms in the individual phases of burning out and the results of burnout together with their influence on the profession of a nurse. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the possibilities of therapy, prevention and methods of evaluating the extent of psychical burnout. The aim of the empirical part was to find out whether nurses are threatened by burnout syndrome, whether they know the causes, symptoms, and possibilities of burnout syndrome prevention. The questionnaire method was applied to the research. The research sample consisted of 84 respondents. I have found that they are particularly threatened with burnout syndrome at the management level where a feedback of work results rarely exists. Problems of life of people with neurofibromatosis

This thesis deals with the life of people with diagnosis neurofibromatosis von Recklinghausen type 1 (NF1). The aim is to find out what problems in life experienced by people with NF1. Which problems had people with NF1 in childhood, what are the most common health problems, what are the most common psychosocia problems. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part of this thesis I have described the different types of neurofibromatosis, including clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment options and monitoring. The last chapter discusses the theoretical problems of life of the people with the NF1. In the empirical part, I followed the issue of life of people with the NF1, both medically, as well as mentally. The empirical section was elaborated using quantitative research questionnaires. The work indicates that respondents are in 76% limits through this disease. The reason given most often indicate the limitations of pain and cosmetic disadvantages. The biggest problem of their life were health problems. For adults with NF1 are the most common type of anxiety problem conditional nature of basic diagnosis and genetic dispositions.
