Problem as Means of Education for Democracy

This thesis deals with the problem solving as a means of education for democracy. When students solve problems concerned with school or public life based on democratic principles, there the education for democracy is directly experienced with democracy. An important element of democracy at school is the student parliament which would promote active citizenship. For this reason the realized research concerns about student parliament and find out its influence on the students' ability to solve public problems.

It describes in detail the reality TV genre, its brief history of broadcasting, focusing on the motivational elements of the program participants Pošta pro Tebe. It investigates the impact and effect of media and mediated relationship to the contents of a reality. It analysis the audience base, explores reasons for visiting the TV studio spectators, why people looking for this TV show and why they watch it by questionnaires, interviews. It's looking for the credibility of the program and asking whether the audience would become program participants. The Share of the Civil Element in the Criminal Decision-Making Procedure Key words: civil element, Comission for Conditional Release (parole), Ministry of Justice, probation and mediation service, assessors, associate judges, criminal proceedings This paper examines the share of the civil element in the criminal decision-making procedure. The aim is to introduce and analyze the institute that has been introduced in the Czech judiciary in the mid-19th -century - the associate judge, as well as the new institute, under which civil representatives can assess applications for release on probation. It further focuses on the Ministry of Justice's intention to introduce the Parole Board, which could single handedly decide about probation in the future. The paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter offers a historical exposé of the institute of the associate judge, devoting particular attention to the reasons which led the legislative authority to implement this civil element. The second chapter discusses the current status quo, the system, and the benefits of associate judges. Internet business transactions with an international element The purpose of this thesis is to analyse particular issues arising out of cross-border business transactions conducted over the internet from perspective of private international law. It is mainly focused on the law applicable to contractual obligations in such transactions. The thesis consists of introduction, five chapters and conclusion. First chapter explains the concept of internet business transactions, describes different kinds of them and most importantly, shifts the focus from the traditional description of technical aspects of internet functioning to concept of internet governance, its reasons and different opinions on the need of rules designed for internet. Chapter Two begins with the definition of an international element. That is followed by characterizing the two basic methods used for regulation of the contractual relationships in private international law. Chapter Three is concerned with the rules of European private international law. The paper discusses the right of access to an independent and impartial tribunal under the European Convention on Human Rights with a focus on compliance of legislation and judicial practice in Ukraine with the standards developed by the European Court of Human Rights in its case-law. Iranian dress culture (women's dress and its change after revolution)

I have structured my thesis into four sections. In the first section, I describe the clothing, make-up and physical appearance that is expected of a woman in public. The second section of my thesis focuses on the influence politics and legal regulations had on women's clothing and women's reactions to these. In the third and fourth sections I explore both my theoretical view and the views of Iranian women I surveyed on the reasons for the important role clothing plays in the society, and why does even the state pay so much attention to the women's apparance. My thesis focuses on the cloting of women in cities, for all changes are significantly faster and sooner apparent in cities than in the conservative countryside. It is from the cities that changes are spread throughout the country. Cities also connect Iran to outside world and are therefore under the influence of other cultures. Although the clothing style of Iranian women absorbs and incorporates foreign elements, these are taken out of the original context and used in new unique ways. 60

Monetary reform 1953 and its reflection in Czech society

This text deals to the topic of monetary reform which took place in Czechoslovakia in 1st June 1953, which was closely associated with cancellation of fixed market. Except chapters about economical reasons, preparation and rules of monetary reform author mainly describes reactions of people to it and social effects which reform meant. Due to information from partial studies about this theme and data from National archive in Prague author made image about ways of protests against monetary reform and its range. Strikes and demonstrations were the most widespread ones. They broke out in almost all bigger cities. It was the first opened protest in the country east of so called iron curtain. However, it is important to mention that discontent was economically motivated, political demands were only rare. Monetary reform meant also social change for most of the people in Czechoslovakia. Its rules were disadvantageous mostly for certain social groups: private farmers and tradesmen (so called "capitalistic elements"). It was another way how they were forced to join socialistic economic sector. But workers were also negatively affected by monetary reform, although they were most important pillar of the regime. AI Planning with Time and Resource Constraints

Automated planning plays an important role in many fields of human interest, where complex and changing tasks involve demanding efficiency and error-avoidance requirements. Research in planning is also motivated by capturing the computational aspects of Artificial Intelligence, where planning, being a reasoning side of acting, is one of the key elements. Introduction of time and resources into planning is an important step towards modelling problems from the real world, however planning is generally hard and introduction of time and resources makes it even harder. In this thesis we explore theoretical aspects of planning, temporal reasoning and resource reasoning. Based on these studies we develop our own suboptimal domain-independent planning system that focuses on planning, where time plays a major role and resources are constrained. We test the developed planning system on the planning problems with time and resources from the International Planning Competition 2008 and compare our results with the competition participants.

Stabilized operation and short - circuit conditions within E.ON 110 kV power network supplied from Slavětice 110 kV switching station, during the period of 2011

In the Master Thesis discusses the impact of the bridge connecting the transformer to power system connection to a separate transformers. They were first analyzed the method of calculating the steady operation of the network using the Newton iterative method and the method of calculating short-circuit ratios. It describes the area Slavětice 110kV substation, which is the subject of subsequent calculations. It is also elucidating the function of the bridge connection, advantages and disadvantages. The reason for implementing the bridge operation is to increase the reliability of electricity supply to customers but the major disadvantage is the greater technical and economic performance because increased short circuit current and the need for transmission transformer 400/110kV same type with the same parameters. Point is the practical part, which contains already concrete results taken with the dispatcher software Sinaut. There is a short-circuit resistance compared to short-circuit power substation, then the burden of the elements (transformers, lines) for two specified connection alternatives and four interruptions important elements. Finally, it stated that it can be done with the bridge connection which technical measures. It was discovered that in terms of short-circuit ratios in the present time it is not possible to operate the bridge connection transformers substation Slavětice 110kV and in terms of very different parameters of transformers 400/110kV the operation is not recommended.

The basic topic of this presented bachelor thesis is the manager decision-making. The main theme of this text is to present the decision-making process. The first part of the thesis summarized basic knowledge about the manager decision-making. There are described and explained main elements of the decision-making process and are mentioned several types of common manager decision-making process. The main part of this paper characterizes the decision-making process and gives information about particular steps of this process, from the identification of the problem to the evaluation of realized decisions. Further part is focused on description, explanation and giving reasons for the importance of quality manager decision-making process and necessity of information for decision-making process. The final part is concentrated on differences, advantages and disadvantages of the intuitional and rational decision-making.
