Innovative Control Systém for Water Supply Management at a Farm
Doležal, Aleš
The thesis deals with the implementation of an innovative control system for the management and supply of water to the farm. The innovation focuses on all areas of the control system such as hardware part as well as software part. In the hardware part, it is mainly about the communication between the PLC and the pumps in the boreholes Where contact switching has been replaced by fiber optic communication. Furthermore, the non-compliant components were replaced by components that are more suitable for this placation. In the software area, tools have been used to simplify both the programming and the actual operation of the control system. The use of structures, the use of equations, and, more efficient sampling of measured data. A PLC from Unitronics was selected to control the entire application. The program for the PLC was written in the UniLogic programming environment from Unitronics.
Design of Broadband over Powerline Modem
Mahút, Michal ; Benešl, Lukáš ; Rusz, Martin ; Musil, Petr ; Mlýnek, Petr
This article introduces design of affordable BPL modem for measuring noise levels on power lines and ensuring reliable communication. Utilizing the MOD957 module from Xingtera, the modem exhibits resilience to high noise levels, crucial for maintaining communication integrity. Throughput tests demonstrate improved performance even under noisy conditions. The article underscores the importance of noise measurement, especially in ensuring dependable communication and controlling the balance of the power grid, as well as detecting potential faults in the power grid.
Semiautomatic crimping machine
Nosek, Jakub ; Štohl, Radek
This document deals with explanation of the design, creation and testing of a new automated machine for the production of ureteral catheters for a company producing medical equipment. The work is a continuation of the diploma thesis of a student of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava, whose work only concerned the design of the mechanical part of the machine and the analysis of the actual manual production process.
Decentralised Production Using Asset Administration Shell
Maslowski, Jakub ; Benešl, Tomáš
This work gradually summarizes key areas in decentralised production and asset administration shell. The infrastructure stands on Siemens PLCs with OPC UA servers. Furthermore, this paper presents a practical solution together with testing results on applications of industry 4.0 concept of asset administration shell, serving as a proof of concept for future research in this area. The findings underscore the potential of decentralized production coupled with asset administration shell to revolutionize industrial processes, offering enhanced flexibility, efficiency, and autonomy.
IEC-104 and MODBUS protocol conversion
Syskov, Mykyta ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
IEC 104 and ModbusRTU communication protocols are used for control, measurement and data collection in remote terminal units (RTUs) primarily in industrial automation, especially in the power industry. This bachelor’s thesis deals with methods of data conversion between these protocols. The theoretical part contains introductions to these protocols, followed by a description of proposed methods for mutual mapping of the items of individual protocols. The result of the work are scripts that are written in the Python language. These scripts implement the described designs. The operation algorithms are documented in detail in the practical part. Finally, using the UniPi G110 device and the xS51 extension from UniPi Technology, a demonstration of the functionality of this software solution is presented.
Modernization of laboratory equipment and creation of a laboratory task
Medek, Dominik ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a teaching equipment, that will allow students to experience working with a PLC and its peripherals, as well as connecting the laboratory tasks and the PPA course project. The thesis discusses the PPA course, its laboratory exercises and the project. It lays out the requirements for a new teaching equipment, that is then created. Its potential uses are then evaluated and two laboratory exercises are created for which a possible solution is developed. The work also includes the establishment of a laboratory standard that addresses the uniform connector wiring for all laboratory teaching equipment and PLC panels.
Programmable Relay in the Application of Automated Production Tests
Ondruška, Arnošt ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šťáva, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes the design of a programmable relay and its application in the automation of production tests. First, commercially available, professionally produced relays are presented and selected bachelor and diploma theses related to the issue of automated measurement of electrical quantities are summarized. The thesis presents the design of an automated test workplace containing measuring devices, laboratory sources and other accessories controlled by a programmable relay via RS 232, with minimal human intervention. A block diagram is presented in the work, and individual blocks are subsequently described in detail. The output of the work is the creation of a custom design of a programmable relay and its use in automated measurement and control of the properties of serially produced industrial sources for the energy industry. The test program itself is written in the BASCom-AVR language.
I/O Peripheries for Modbus/TCP server
Mikula, Matej ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the development of input-output peripherals for a Modbus TCP server. Its goal is to create a functional model of a device with analog and digital inputs and outputs. The device is capable of communicating with the PLC Allen-Bradley Logix series. It can report the state of its inputs, and it is possible to set the value of its outputs. The functionality of the proposed device is verified by creating a simple application for the PLC.
Virtual commissioning of wax model gluing for investment casting
Maňák, Juraj ; Bražina, Jakub (referee) ; Szabari, Mikuláš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the virtual commissioning of a robotic workstation for gluing wax models for investment casting. The theoretical part describes the concept of Industry 4.0 and its main pillars, followed by the technology of investment casting and the entire process from wax mold to casting. The next part summarizes the knowledge of robot programming methods and virtual commissioning. This is followed by a chapter analyzing the current methods of gluing and describing the individual components of a universal workstation. The practical part begins with the design of the robotic workstation, including components such as positioners and grippers, and their subsequent description. The next part focuses on creating a simulation in the Process Simulate software, including the definition of kinematic structures and operations. The thesis also describes the process of virtual commissioning, the use of Robot Studio for real feedback, and the subsequent creation of PLC and HMI in TIA Portal.
The I/O simulator for Micro800 PLC
