Architecture in Landscape - Winery

The project designs a small family winery near Strachotín, on the bank of Nové Mlýny. The land area is 35,9 hectares and the height difference is about 30 metres. There are a beautiful views of the Pálava Hills. One of the basic ideas was to link the vineyards with the embankment. Therefore, the proposed buildings are divided into two parts - the Wine Center ( including production, presentation and sales) and a restaurant with a pension. The buildings are based on the traditional archetypal shape - a rectangle and a gable roof. The asymmetrical roofs evoke panorama of Palava. Offset the production hall and the visitor centre allows free passage and the building does not act as a barrier.
Traditional Indian Clothing

My bachelor thesis deals with the theme of traditional Indian clothing - it is basic overview on this topic. The first part deals with clothing from the view of social and cultural anthropology. Following part is about the history of Indian clothing from ancient times to the present. Next part deals with the technology of production of clothing materials. The last section is devoted to the clothing itself and focuses on three aspects that affect its wearer (age, gender and occasion). The work is accompanied by a picture supplement and glossary of special terms.
Reflexive style of volunteering at organization focused on integration of foreigners

This diploma thesis deals with the study of the world of reflexive volunteers and their retention in a selected non-profit organization. The theoretical part provides an overview of the motivations for volunteering and the current functioning of volunteering in the Czech Republic and the European Union; it also focuses on transforming the way volunteers are involved from the perspective of modernization and describes in detail the process of volunteer management. The empirical part consists of interviews with ten volunteers in a selected organization in order to understand its motivations, length and intensity of work, relationships with other volunteers and employees. Finally, practical recommendations for the volunteer coordinator are presented regarding selected aspects of volunteer management, with special emphasis on the retention of volunteers. Volunteer Patterns in Municipality

The thesis aims to describe and analyze selected citizens' volunteer activities in a municipality. The theoretical part provides overview of theoretical concepts of volunteering and contemporary phenomenon in this area. The collective and reflexive volunteering model is introduced as a research tool focused on volunteer motivations, commitments and relations to place, tradition or organization from the sociological modernization perspective. The empirical part connects collective and reflexive volunteering concepts with praxis via the answers of informants. Using participants' perspective, the goal was to apply specific volunteer typology in the context of a municipality, perceiving it as a space which can both initiate volunteer activities as well as to be formed by them. Linguistic image of woman in the magazine advertising in the yeares 1917 - 1930

68 14 Resumé in English This study is aimed on the image of women as it was perceived by advertising in magazines between 1917 and 1930. The focal points are lexemes: lady, mistress, housewife, a girl, ma'am, miss, household, parent, cook, mother, daughter, child. Their occurrences are statistically processed in the tables according to selected criteria, for example: whether the lexemes are developed by attribute or not. The obtained data are interpreted in the chapters which are divided according to ad focus on three sections: Decoration, Household, Family relationships. The conclusion is based on all of the data created by the image of women as perceived by contemporary advertising compared to what was required of traditional society. The conclusion of the study, including a shift in social values, is supported by a brief comparison of the results of this work, based on knowledge of the study Language image of women in advertising in the late 19th Century (Štumpf, M., RP, Charles University, 2008).
