Software for a Support of the Entropia Universe Online Game
Duba, Nikolas ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Grulich, Lukáš (advisor)
This software is for helping players of a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game: Entropia Universe. With this software we can achieve better results in finding resources during mining. Program as input needs points entered separately point by point or massively imported from a file. After properties setup program will visualize the resource area map. Every type has a different color. It allows saving color scheme settings into file and loading them when needed. Points are saved into database and can be exported into CSV or XML file.
Demotikons
Ponomarevová, Denisa ; Sýkorová,, Lenka (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis entitled Demotikons is a guide to the hypothetical and personal symbolism of digital space and internet communication. I refer to the well-known system of emoticons (emoji), reaction buttons, and simplified forms or signs found on web browsers, social networks, and the digital interfaces of our electronic devices. I deconstruct their meaning with my own attributes and place them in new forms and relationships. The drawings make micro-references to established "visual codes" in digital space, from email address signs to graphic icons and visual indicators in user interfaces. The output of this project becomes an installation comprising a series of drawings and objects that convey personal interpretations of the intersection of the digital (online) world with the physical (offline) world.

Suffix Trees Construction and Their Use in Bioinformatics
Hlaváček, Pavel ; Čermák, Martin (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work discusses problems of suffix trees implementation and their use in bioinformatics. There are given different sorts of algorithms for building suffix trees in this work. In the first place, it deals with the on-line method implementation for building suffix trees, proposed by E. Ukkonen and approximate string matching. That is made by application of dynamic programming principles, adapted for  using suffix trees. Both of these methods are described by pseudocode and implemented in a work supplement.
Design of Net-Based Virtual Collaborative Musical Instrument
Liudkevich, Denis ; Kiska, Tomáš (referee) ; Kavan, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create an online platform for multi-user sound creation with original sound synthesis tools. The educational context of the application was also taken into account by hiding the controls of the sound parameters behind the subconsciously known physical phenomena and the game form of the application. A substantial part of the logic and all graphics of the instruments is written in the JavaScript programming language and its library p5.js. It is located on the client side and communicates with the Node.js-based server via a web socket. The audio part is on another server in the SuperCollider environment, it is transmitted via IceCast and communicates with the main OSC message server. The application contains 3 instruments for generating sounds and one effects module. Each instrument is designed for multiple users and requires their cooperation. Acceptable transmission speeds and minimum computational demands have been achieved by optimizing the instrument's internal algorithms, the way in which the graphic content is displayed and the appropriate routing of the individual sound modules. The sound is specific for each instrument. The instruments in the application are tuned and designed so that the user can both achieve interesting sound results himself and play his role as a whole with others. Methods such as granular synthesis, chaotic oscillators, string instrument modeling, filter combinations, and so on are used to generate sound. Great emphasis in the development of the application was placed on the separation of roles, simultaneous control of one instrument by several players and communication of users through playing the instruments and text expression - chat. An important part is also a block for displaying descriptive information.

Online LaTeX Editor
Sokol, Miroslav ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This diploma thesis has its purpose in creating such an editor of LATEX language, which would succeed in the competition of existing solutions. To offer users a basis typical for this type of editors and add functions that will make him a unique project. The progress went in a direction of transparent environment and completely trivial operating. Most of the functions are available through 1 click only. Predefined templates are displayed immediately including previews and it is possible to download them with all source codes. Some kinds of actions redraw the whole content of the page. In other cases, we used update panels for partially redraw the content or client javascript. Due to available archivation of .zip files we can even process more files at the same time. Program is designed in a way to be able to further continue developing it and even broaden his features.
