Trust in media: an analysis of the determinants of perceived media credibility

This diploma thesis "Důvěra v média: analýza determinantů vnímané důvěryhodnosti médií" deals with the issue of trust in the media among the population aged 20-30. This age group is defined based on developmental psychology as young or early adulthood. The diploma thesis asks how members of the selected target group trust the given media and what this perceived trustworthiness is conditioned by. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and an analytical part. In its introduction, the theoretical part deals with the central topic of this diploma thesis, which is trust in the media. There is also focus on a interdisciplinary links (trust studies), approaches to research on trust in the media, characteristics and results of trust research in the Czech Republic. It also deals with the definition of the concept of trust, its functions in society and its concept in various fields such as sociology, political science, psychology and anthropology. At the end, the theoretical part offers the necessary anchoring of the topic from the point of view of media theory by means of the definition of the function and effects of the media on society and the dual broadcasting system. The influence of social media on eating disorders in today's youth generation

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to investigate how social media may influence the development of eating disorders in today's youth. The thesis is theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the group that is the focus of the thesis, namely young adults. Also, the theoretical part includes the definition of concepts such as social media, eating disorders and, last but not least, their possible interrelation, or the influence of social media on these disorders. The practical part describes the research, which took the form of semi-structured interviews. The aim of the practical part was to describe the influence of social media on the emergence and development of eating disorders in women aged 20 to 25 years.
Substance use in the nightlife environment

Background: The nightlife environment is associated with a higher prevalence of substance use compared to the general population. This use is typically recreational. Patterns of use, frequency and motivation tend to be diverse. The most frequent visitors of the nightlife environment are young adults who are in a turbulent phase of life. However, this stage of life changes over time, and with it the patterns of use and the value users place on substance use. Objective: The primary objective is to use qualitative research methods to describe the patterns of substance use in the nightlife environment and to find out whether new trends are emerging in this context. The secondary goal is to describe the relationship between young adulthood and the use of addictive substances. Methods: The work uses qualitative research methods. The research population was selected using purposive sampling and self-selection. The research group consisted of eight respondents with an average age of 28.4 years. The data was recorded using an audio recording and then transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. Comparative study eating habits university students.

My Bachelor thesis named "Comparative study of eating habits of university students" is focused on eating habits of research file, i.e. students from the fields of Health Education and National School. The theoretical part involves clarifying the impact of nutrition on an individual's health, describing the composition of the diet, from the point of view of macronutrients. The practical part analyses and evaluates the data collected from students. They provided the results of their weekly food income recorded in an application kaloricketabulky.cz. The thesis is focused on intake of fats, carbohydrates and proteins compared to the average recommended standards.
Parents´ divorce in young adult's eyes

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the phenomena of the parents´ divorce in young adult´s eyes. The paper is divided into two sections, theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts such as family, parents´ divorce, post-divorce arrangement and characteristics of young adults. This theoretical part shows the dynamics of divorce with its phenomena and then describes young adulthood with its typical signs. In the empirical section is described and analyzed reflection on parents´ divorce by young adult respondents. They provided their experiences with parents´ divorce, its dynamics, view of it and perceived consequenses to their current life. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews which have been analysed by using an open coding. The questioned group consists of six young adult respondents who had experience with parents´ divorce and were able to discuss it based on their memories and personal experience. The results were described as individual case reports telling the story of parents´ divorce. The stories were presented in categories and subcategories revealing main topics from interviews. From the collected data is possible to conclude that young adults frequently perceived the changes which parents´ divorce brings into their family life. Respondents consider parents´ divorce as psychologically demanding situation for a child who is suddenly in a new and fundamentally changing family background. The respondents also recognice a divorce as an experience they would want to avoid in their personal relationships.

This bachelor thesis focuses in the theoretical background on research of an early adulthood, health definitions, health determinants and mostly on physical activity. It also brings a research of results from pedometer determined PA studies. The study assessed the PA of 39 female students of teaching for Primary School. The PA of the students was objectively monitored with the Yamax SW-700 pedometer. The INDARES.COM questionnaire was used to assess sport preferences.
Physical activity and quality of life in young adults

Title: Relationship between physical activity and quality of life in young adults Aims of work: This thesis aims to determine the connection between physical activity and quality of life in young adults (20-35 years old), and to find out their lifestyle, health, and quality of life. Method: Methodologically, this work is based on a quantitative questionnaire study. The data were obtained through an online questionnaire, which was posted on Facebook. The questionnaire included two measures of physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire a Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire) and a measure of the quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF).The data from the questionnaire were evaluated by SPSS software (Statistical Package for Social Science). The relationship between physical activity and quality of life was determined using correlation and regression analysis. The survey involved 379 young adults in the age category of 20 to 35 years. Results: The results of the correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between leisure time physical activity and three dimensions of the quality of life - mental and physical health and the quality of the environment. Intimate relationships of people with schizophrenia

The thesis is dedicated to intimate relationships of people with schizophrenic disorder (F20). The aim of this study was to determine the importance of intimate relationships attributed by women and men with schizophrenia in young adulthood. Their experience, ideals and expectations of partnership were also investigated. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes the illness of schizophrenia, its characteristics, etiology, epidemiology, symptoms, deficits in cognitive and social functioning as well as current treatments oriented at psychosocial intervention. In the second chapter, the topic of partnerships of common people is presented. The third chapter describes the theme of partnerships in persons with schizophrenic disorder itself. The empirical part is based on qualitative methodology. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 11 respondents, investigating intimate relationships and sexuality of people with schizophrenia. The results are properly described and afterwards discussed with the available literature. In the conclusion, it is recommended further research and intervention in social relationships among people with schizophrenia.
